Steve takes the time to review all aspects of your financial situation and provides a detailed plan with various scenarios (because we all know things happen in life) at the end of the sessions. Working with Christine was a wonderful experience. I worked with her on my personal financial plan and she did a step-by-step review of all of my finances. She was gentle and empathetic with my situation (student debt, recent breakup, other life events) and offered organization and a fresh outlook on my finances. I found Money Coaches Canada and Steve in particular when researching the difference between a financial adviser, financial planner and a financial coach. I was at a place in my life where I really wanting to take charge of my finances; however my bad habits and thoughts around spending and saving money were acting as huge hurtle. Because of these bad habits my savings were non-existent, my credit cards were maxed out and I was in no place to invest so naturally a money coach fit. After speaking with Steve on the phone my wife and I decided to meet with Steve for a FREE consultation. Steve is very knowledgeable and personable and seemed like a great fit to work with. I'm not going to lie; at first I was very skeptical and hesitant to commit to a program with Steve as I was barely getting by and thoughts of paying someone to tell me how to save/spend my money seemed foreign. Steve told us not to worry that we wouldn't even notice his fees in the long run.(Yeah right!) Well I pleasantly surprised by this experience! Not only did we not notice his fees but he actually helped us to get on track. Within 6 months of working with Steve our lives have changed so much for the better. The stress we use to feel in regards to finances has been lifted greatly. We are on track to pay off all of our debt in a record amount of time, AND we actually have savings building up monthly. In 5 months of working with Steve we were able to pay off over $12,000 in debt - YES you read that right 12K! He is not by any means a magician that just makes money appear and fixes your finances; you have to want to make changes for the better. Much like losing weight; you can't just do it for a bit and hope for the best; you need to be prepared to change your life style and habits and commit to the program. My wife and I both agree that working with Steve was the best decision we made in 2017 and we are looking forward to walking the path that Steve has help to create.
