I worked with Jesse Vu and the team at Exceedia Consulting for three months. Mainly, I focused on researching public and private grants for clients and during my tenure, I also had the exciting opportunity to be exposed to learning about financial strategies in planning. Jesse always took the time to teach us the processes and strategies, in my case more specifically for grants, but in general, I observed and admired the same committed attitude towards her clients. I have been working with Exceedia for the past four months; specifically attending their financial literacy workshops. The workshops cover diverse topics such as building credit, buying a house, mortgages, cash flow, taxes...etc. I have enjoyed attending these workshops; they are informative, engaging and Jesse (the facilitator) is an expert in these areas (one could tell after attending the workshops). Exceedia offers these workshops FREE of charge which shows their genuine interest in educating people, sharing their knowledge and expertise and helping people achieve not only their financial goals but also their life goals. After attending these workshops, not once was I asked to buy a product of theirs or register for anything which shows me their number one priority is building relationships with clients based on trust and not profit. I highly recommend these workshops. They are great and I learned a lot from them! As I am at the start of my career life, I would like to start off on the right foot in managing money, building wealth and achieving my financial and life goals and I feel Exceedia is the right place to do that.

Exceedia Consulting Ltd. (Financial Planners and Tax Consulting) Review (Calgary). The rep from Exceedia started out quite pleasant, but once we hit a small snag based on a misunderstanding that they contributed to, they turned on us. It was a harmless misunderstanding where the rep had stated in one of their emails to “Please be aware before you send a deposit for us to work on your taxes as without those documents (certain 2016 tax docs), we will not be able to proceed with preparing your file.” We then sent all the documents to the rep's junior associate (Gotta love it when consultants bait you with an experienced rep and then give you a junior rep when it’s time to get down to business!). We then waited for the junior rep to confirm that they had received all the documents so we could then proceed with payment (as shown in excerpt above). They never even wrote us back to confirm receipt of the documents. After waiting 9 days for a response from them, The rep wrote us a very terse email pronouncing that they no longer wanted us as clients. We were completely shocked! We tried to reason with them explaining that the whole thing was a misunderstanding and that we’d submit the payment immediately, but no! They would not even discuss the matter with us. They cut off their nose to spite their face as we would have given them years of our business and word of mouth business as well.

Jesse Vu is so knowledgeable in everything i ask regarding my problems, especially when it comes to solutions to a specific problem. I have problems on my business, and struggling on how to fix lots of things, but when i told her my story, she is spot on giving advices. I can thoroughly recommend the financial services of Exceedia Consultants, particularly their consultant, Jesse Vu. Having suffered from Type 1 Diabetes for 60 years, I had never applied for the Canadian Disability Tax Credit, because of the bureaucratic and arbitrary nature of the process. Jesse made this simple, advising on the right wording and a knowledgable channel to gain rapid approval of the credit. This resulted not only in future credits, but a very welcome 10 years' back tax credit.
