First of all, I want to thank Cara (the owner) for being so personable and helpful since we booked our wedding in 2020. The Estate constantly invests back into their venue creating new bathrooms, train car seating areas, and paved walkways to show they want the best experience for their guests. We have seen the place change for the better over the past two years since deciding to make this our venue. Cara’s preferred venue list is solid and professional. The staff on the day of the wedding was so much fun and delightful. Everyone had an amazing time. I highly recommend booking your wedding here. They are the best!!

There are so many different options on where to get married on this property and all around it was a perfect fit. We got married on May 29, 2021 and it was an absolute dream. Cara was very great to work with. She answers all of our questions and after booking she kept in contact with us the whole process. There were so many places to get beautiful pictures as well! We did an overnight stay which was included in our package. There are no other words to describe it other than magical!!! This property is beautiful and the family that runs it and holds it together are also amazing! Thank you Cara and family!!!!!

This venue is just beautiful with the grounds, the chapel, the reception area, and all of the different ceremony areas to choose from! Cara is just the sweetest, most helpful, easy to talk to, professional, and detailed person and we cannot thank her enough for all of her help to make our day perfect! All of the staff at the Estate is amazing! The bartenders for our wedding were INCREDIBLE! Our guests just keep talking about how well they took care of them and how nice they were! Every staff member at the Estate, we cannot thank you enough for being amazing! Our wedding was just perfect and we could have not done it without you all!!! If you are looking for a venue that has all you want and more, we hands down recommend the Estate!!!!

READ YOUR CONTRACT CAREFULLY: We met with Cara on site in February 2021 and really liked the venue. We signed the contract and paid the $500 non refundable deposit for a wedding in January 2022. Due to covid, we ended up canceling the wedding June 7 2021. Most of our family would be coming from out of state and there was too much uncertaintanty as to whether they would be able to make it. After providing Cara her requested written cancellation, she informed us that after 60 days not only is the nonrefundable deposit nonrefundable, but the additional $2000 I payed toward the wedding was also nonrefundable. I understand the deposit isn't and shouldn't be refundable. This came as a surprise to me as it seems unethical to keep this additional money but Cara told my wife that if/when the venue rebooks, we will get our money back. Cara's quote to my wife on June 8 was "I would be 99.9% certain it will rebook, likely within the next 60 days." It looks like we are that 1 in a 1000 as it has not rebooked and we are out over $2500. I suggest using caution when executing a contract with this business due to the poor experience outlined above.

Our time spent at The Estate on the Halifax during my niece's wedding on May 18th by far succeeded any of our wishes. It was wonderful to stay together as a family for several days and nights. Our age group ranged from 8 years old to 71. I found myself having a difficult time choosing between what beautiful area I wanted to spend my time. The historical homes, waterfront or the beautiful gardens. If anyone is looking for a unique and peaceful setting for a wedding or any event, you can never go wrong with The Estate on the Halifax.

Came here for a wedding and it was gorgeous. The wedding was by the gazebo and the party in the back. The bride and groom also stayed the night in one of the large cabins that they have. I was a groomsmen so we got ready in the remodeled train car, which is very sleek inside. Just note that you don't get any cell service inside the train car, which may freak the bride out when she can't get a hold of the groom...

Estate on the Halifax had everything that we dreamed our perfect wedding venue would have: a chapel (and a historical one at that) for the ceremony, gardens for the cocktail hour, and a tavern that had a warm, ski-lodge feel for our reception! Not only that, it has a functional antique train car for wedding party preparation and a full guesthouse for the other party's preparations and for the couple's stay on their wedding night! It's also perfect because it can work beautifully (and affordably) for a variety of guest counts. The staff was a dream to work with from start to finish and responded promptly to every question we had, big or small. This was the first venue we saw, and with the bar set so high, we wondered why we even bothered looking at any other venues after it. Estate has weddings down to a finely-tuned science, and they will ensure that every moment of your wedding turns out as perfectly as you dreamed it would. We absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend the Estate!!!!!

What an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding from a guest's perspective. The photographs were gorgeous throughout the entire day. The flow of the event from beginning to end was well run, there was never any question of where to go or what was happening next. We are from the Orlando area and have never heard of this place, I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking to hold a wedding in Central Florida for sure.

I do like the property the chapel is nice the house you can stay in is very nice although the stairway is quite narrow.. And if you do have issues make sure you let someone know like the manager or one of the staff people and they'll take care of it. Don't get married in the summer of the mosquitoes are really bad. There's a lot of trees and bushes.

This is an amazing venue! The day my maid of honor and I went for our appointment, we knew this was the place I should get married at. Cara and Katy are so helpful and knowledgeable. The property is beautiful and if you can, I recommend having a long weekend wedding event. Rent out the Estate House-you won't regret it. It was wonderful to have the entire family and wedding party able to stay on property. It was a great bonding and relaxing time leading up to the wedding. And, on wedding day-we were all already there on property! From the well maintained historical buildings (house, chapel, train car, etc.) to the beautiful gardens and landscaping, I just can't rave enough about this venue. A very unique spot to get married at or hold a special event. We loved all of the unique settings for photos. The grounds are well kept and the gardens are gorgeous. The facilities hold an old train snow whites cabin, koinobori ponds lakes and waterfalls. The banquet hall is a wonderful spot to host a reception. Really nice.

I feel in the love with this venue the minute I got on property! I wanted the white chapel and theirs is beatiful. Plus, to top it off, you get to ring the bell saying you are married after the ceremony. I loved that I could have an indoor wedding (it is Florida) with A/C but had multiple photography options on property--from the oak trees, to the garden, to the bridge, to the river--you can't go wrong. Cara was very helpful in getting our date during the pandemic too. I love the Estate.

When my husband and I moved to Florida in the middle of planning a New York wedding and then had to drop all our plans and move the wedding to Florida as well, we were beyond stressed. After a year of planning everything we'd had in place was gone, and we were certain our day couldn't be everything we had dreamed--until we found the Estate on the Halifax. The grounds are beyond gorgeous and offer so many options for any kind of wedding (we had ours at the gazebo, but had a storm rolled in we had the option to move everything to the chapel which is also on site). Having the ceremony and the reception locations on the same property made everything simple for not only ourselves but our out-of-town guests, and our families are STILL talking about what an incredibly beautiful and unique venue the Estate was. Beyond aesthetics, we couldn't have received more helpful, personal, caring, and cheerful assistance from the onsite staff. The director of hospitality, Katie Hunt, helped us not only get excited about our day again but assisted us in making our wedding dreams come true. We can't begin to thank Katie, Linda, and Cara for all they did for us (and their patience!), but if you're looking for a gorgeous venue with incredible staff and to make your day unforgettable for not only yourself but for your guests as well, be certain to check out the Estate!

We went for the craziest wonderful wedding. Don't let the pictures for you my friends decorated for the wedding like this. I'm sorry I didn't take more pictures of the grounds because they're absolutely beautiful. It's old Florida meets wedding hall. They have a chapel a lazy river that runs through the grounds with giant koi. They have a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs house in a mini railroad track that I'm not sure if it still works or not but it winds through the property. It's on the Halifax River. It's really a unique place and all the people were very friendly.

The Estate on the Halifax is a true hidden treasure! My husband and I looked at ten different venues, and this one was the very first one we visited. While looking at all the other venues, we could not stop comparing them to the Estate on the Halifax, and they all fell short. I absolutely loved the look of the Estate, from the charming cottage in the gardens to the beautiful tavern where receptions are held. The train car gives this venue its own charm that the guys instantly liked. All of our guests were amazed with the space, and I am still receiving compliments two weeks later! Cara and her team are exceptional and were very accommodating to any ideas or changes we wanted. Cara was very professional and I really felt like she cared about our wedding and making sure it was perfect. Plus we got to stay the night after our wedding on property at Agatha’s House, a gorgeous 4 room home with pool and hot tub! With so many beautiful locations to choose from around the area, we are so glad we picked Estate on the Halifax.

Superb atmosphere, loved having everything in one place; it turned a wedding into a fun and amazing experience. Great views of the Halifax river. Easy to get to. Only gave four stars because of all the weird, uneven surfaces on the floors in the houses and the reception hall that everyone kept tripping on. (The different floor surfaces weren't flush with each other, like in the main house going from wood in the dining room to tile in the kitchen with a 1-inch difference in height. Not good when you're tired or drinking...or even when sober!) It's an accident waiting to happen. Even right in front of the fireplace in the reception hall there is a lip that looks flush to the floor but is not. Additionally it is not at all a handicapped-friendly venue. Fortunately it was not a problem for our group, but lots of stairs, small bathrooms, uneven or rough surfaces, and narrow bridges would make it difficult for anyone with a wheelchair or walker or even bad knees to get around. Snow White's cottage was adorable and just a fun and perfect atmosphere for our pub-style cocktail hour.

We rented out the whole venue and it was awesome to be able to get ready in Agatha’s Guesthouse and the train car to walk over to the chapel for our ceremony, take pictures in the gardens and then walk to our reception in the tavern. We got married at the Estate on the Halifax last month and it was AMAZING! Everything was absolutely gorgeous. Cara and the whole team at the Estate were so incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning period. I was planning the wedding from Colorado so there were a lot of emails. They all answered questions very quickly and helped me find local vendors for everything we needed. Even while Cara was on leave, she and her team still responded to my emails. I was not the most put together or on top of everything bride and they helped guide me through everything. When it came to the final planning meeting and they were asking me questions for things that I hadn’t even thought of, they reassured me that they would take care of everything. We also used their coordination services, White Blossom Weddings, and our coordinator Emily was fabulous. Cara and Emily also helped me add in some little details with suggestions to really make the ceremony and the reception special since we did most of the décor ourselves. Emily kept everything during the rehearsal and the wedding on-time and flowing seamlessly. She was there with any questions I had and made sure everyone knew where they needed to be and when. The day of the wedding I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed. The weather did not participate and it rained all day so we had to move the ceremony from the gardens to the chapel, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about and was able to enjoy my day. Emily took care of getting everything moved and let everyone know; she is so organized and on top of every detail. The venue itself was breathtaking and I got so many compliments from all of my guests. It was every bit the fairy tale I wanted. Thank you to the whole team at the Estate and White Blossom Weddings!

This was the first venue we visited when looking for a place to have our wedding. The photos online looked beautiful, but I wasn't sure how the venue would look in person as sometimes photos can be deceiving, but it did not disappoint and we didn't even bother visiting any other venues. We just knew this was the one! The estate is very unique and beautiful with lots of history. All of our wedding guests kept complimenting the venue by saying how much they loved it. We loved the exclusivity of the estate and that we could have both the ceremony and reception at the same venue. As well as with our package we also got to spend our wedding night in Agatha's guesthouse on property. Cara and her family/team take great care in the upkeep of the property. Cara was our main contact person and she was always super nice and quick to answer emails/questions and made the whole process go very smoothly. When we booked they provided us with a list of trusted vendors that they have worked with in the past (you do not have to use them), which greatly helped us in making good choices and ensured that our wedding went smoothly since they were all so familiar with the property. I couldn't have asked for a smoother day! Many thanks to the Estate for making our wedding day so perfect!

Beautiful venue. The staff was so helpful and let us practice our dance on the weekends. The wedding came out amazing. Plenty of places to take amazing photos. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Agathas house was amzing and my guest loved the after party. I couldnt have asked for a more beautiful and unique venue.

This is an absolutely breathtaking venue with gorgeous gardens, wonderful cottages and a glorious reception hall, to say nothing of the beautiful little chapel. I cannot recommend it enough for weddings or get togethers. It definitely doesn't seem like something one would find in Florida, yet it fits perfectly in with the aesthetic of the riverside city it's in.

With under three weeks to the wedding, we found out our original venue wasn’t going to have their CO in time and had been canceling other weddings they were to host. So we immediately went into action to find another. By some miracle, The Estate on the Halifax was available. We could not of been happier having our daughter’s wedding here. Between the staff and location they made our stressful situation turn into a dream. It is a breathtaking piece of property, so many beautiful photo ops. This venue truly creates a fairy tale setting. Even in the hot July temps our outdoor ceremony was exquisite, Cara had the best suggestions on keeping our guests comfortable. She is unbelievable how organized she is. They went over so many details prior to the wedding day so as to have a stress free day. Everyone who attended were amazed at how wonderful this venue is in every way you can possibly imagine. The Estate on the Halifax knows what they are doing, they had a short amount of time to work with in our situation and they honestly amazed us. We could not of been happier.

Absolutely beautiful place. I have nothing but the best things to say about this place. We stayed on property for the weekend in the "big house". I would recommend it for anyone planning a wedding or anyone who simply wants a nice place to have a family reunion. Everyone i encountered during my visit to Port Orange was so friendly. It truly is a wonderful place to visit all around.
