Unprofessional, unresponsive and inflexible! For some background information, I'm part of a bridal party that did initially book with Stonewall Estates. The bride had planned on having her wedding in June, but due to COVID-19, she was forced to make alternate arrangements for obvious reasons. At this point in time, she had paid her deposit, but had not received any type of services, short of a tasting. She contacted the venue to see how they intended to handle the weddings taking place this summer, since we're prohibited from gathering in groups. They advised that all summer weddings would need to be rescheduled. The bride (because she's prepared) had already purchased her wedding license, which was due to expire shortly after her planned wedding day. Since they would need to have a small ceremony before the license expired, she had asked if it were possible for her to pay for her reception only, as she would no longer need to have a ceremony. The venue was unwilling to budge, and refused to allow her to just have a reception, or to reimburse her for any portion of her deposit. When asked if the venue would offer any flexibility as far as the guest minimum (100 guests minimum, currently not allowed due to social distancing measures), she was advised that she must meet the 100 guest minimum. With family overseas/out of country, this is currently impossible, and may not be possible for quite some time. They provided her with minimal days to choose from to re-book, but with things being so uncertain, she did not feel that she could commit to a fall date and meet the stringent guest minimum. She requested a portion of her deposit back, understanding that she could not request the full amount if she did cancel, but considering the only "service" she had received thus far was a tasting, asking for a fraction of her deposit back seemed like a fair compromise. She was denied, and the venue refused to return any subsequent phone calls or emails. While I understand that times are difficult for business owners, it's clear that the individuals at Stonewall Estates are only in it for the almighty buck. Their lack of communication, sincerity, compassion and inability to even attempt to meet the needs of their clients speaks volumes for how unprofessional this business is and how difficult they are to work with. During times like this, a bit of flexibility and compassion goes a long way to ensuring future business/clients. Rest assured, they will not have my business ever, nor will I endorse or recommend them to any friends or family! Shame on you Stonewall Estates!

This is a stunning venue for any occasion-business meetings or weddings! There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies to hang out and have conversations in as well as the unbelievable sunsets on the creek with a view from the head table! There is a sweet little bridal ready cottage on property as well as lots of parking for your event. Earla is a wonderful hostess! Don't be disappointed by not booking this gorgeous location!

Stonewall was a simply stunning venue for our wedding on July 2nd, and we could not have been happier with our experience. After postponing the wedding twice due to COVID, we finally decided we did not want to wait any longer. Alex and Earla were flexible, kind and generally wonderful to work with during a very stressful time. The day they ended up helping us pull together could not have been more perfect, and I loved their eye for the little details - everything was just amazing, and all of our guests gushed over how beautiful it was. The gardens are amazing! It seems they are just continuing to improve it so we cannot wait to be back in the future and see what else they’ve done!

Unimpressed with the lack of communication. I emailed them the first time requesting to book a tour and pricing. I received a response 2 days later. Since then I have requested two separate times to book a tour within 2 weeks and no response. Beyond disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care they have. For a future bride that was seriously considering this place as a venue, with the lack of communication I would never trust they would be in communication after booking.

It was very difficult to get a cab from this venue. I would suggest organizing transportation ahead of time. The staff did not assist in getting cabs and literally left guests waiting outside the venue in the rain and cold once the venue closed. This could promote drinking and driving so I think it's best to arrange cabs or alternate transportation ahead of time.

The most AMAZING place to get married. Our wedding was on June 15, 2019. Everything was absolutely perfect! Earla, Alex, Zack you are incredible.The organization you all have is impeccable. DJ Russell kept the dance floor going all..... night, I think I left the floor only a few times just to catch my breath. He also kept the flow of the night perfect.????????????. The lighting at night, absolutely gorgeous, our guests were wandering, relaxing and even dancing outside. Carol, from Viniferafloral Design is wonderful, and her flowers that she provides are beyond beautiful. The venue itself is the perfect back drop for photos, our photographer was in love with the venue, it allowed her to use her creative juices and has messaged me recently saying that the photos already look amazing! Our guests have repeatedly told us over and over the last few days how amazingly beautiful everything was and how it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time.The food! The food was off the charts good, everyone’s plates were empty, thanks to Ali from Foodswings catering. The donuts and grilled cheese were the perfect added touch after dinner. I can honestly not say enough great things about this venue and the staff that work here. Absolutely perfect and I am so incredibly happy and grateful that I had my wedding here. It’s a memory I will never forget. If I had one wish, it would be to do it all over again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for everything, both Brandon and I truly appreciate everything. Our company had our Christmas party there and it was amazing! All of the feedback we have received has been 10/10, with lots of comments about how delicious the food is, how beautiful the venue is, and how awesome and friendly the staff at Stonewall was. I worked closely with Earla to set the event up and she is such a lovely lady and made the experience for me and our team unforgettable. What a pleasure it was to experience Stonewall Estates this weekend for a wedding. The venue, staff, and event was fabulous! The beautiful backdrop of the water and pergola was stunning. The only thing better was the ambiance at night with perfect lighting on all the buildings and vineyards. If you are looking to host an event or wedding definitely have a look at this place. You won't be disappointed.

I attended the most perfect wedding last night at stonewall estates. Everything was absolutely perfect.from the setting to the staff to the food. Words cannot express how thankful and lucky we are to be able to tie the knot this year; especially at Stonewall Estates. From the moment we met Earla and Alex and saw how beautiful the property was, we knew instantly that this was THE place to get married. This venue has it all which made wedding planning such a breeze. These ladies help you every step of the way with planning. The food was absolutely amazing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and no one had an empty belly. The DJ was so much fun to work with. He was very personable and extremely organized. The centre pieces and decor coordinated beautifully with everything else in the room. My pinterest boards came to life that day! Most importantly, they are absolutely amazing to work with. They are very thoughtful, understanding, and down to earth. They truly care about their clients by helping them create their dreams into reality; it certainly shows. You have navigated this pandemic gracefully and was proactive. All of our guests felt comfortable and at ease. Everyone was so impressed about the gorgeous property and barn, the delicious food, the details in decor, and how cozy and intimate it was. It was absolutely perfect! Thank you

I have Officiated quite a few weddings at Stonewall Estates and I find that this is one of the nicest intimate venues in the Niagara Area. From the quaint Bridal House to the spacious dining facility and the breathtaking ceremony space, this venue has it all.

One of the many reasons we love photographing weddings at Stonewall Estates is it has beautiful spots all over the venue! With the stunning vineyards or water as the background to do your wedding photos you really can’t go wrong! When we say beautiful, we mean BEAUTIFUL. It has everything you need with an on-site ceremony, a bridal cottage for getting ready, rustic barn for your reception, and chandelier gardens. Their staff is so helpful and even more kind to everyone working or attending the event. We get so excited when we get to photograph at this beautiful venue and are looking forward to more events in the future.

Amazing venue for a wedding...food (both steak and chicken meals) was delicious; DJ kept people dancing all night, and floral arrangements were fantastic. Had a small issue when the DJ blew a breaker, but staff reacted and corrected it quickly to get us back up and partying. September was ideal time of year for a wedding as grounds are fully mature, and without A/C in the barn, the evening breeze cooled things off. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this venue, the staff, and the owners. Alex and early are so hard working and amazing. They really did everything to make our wedding day so special despite minor weather changes. Everything was laid out so nicely and they really did a great job running through everything with us. Not sure if we can quite capture how completely in awe we are of Stonewall Estates. They are professional yet so wonderfully personal. Which is such a breath of fresh air in a world where the genuine personal touch is seemingly lost with so many corporate vendors. To boot, once COVID hit, Stonewall had communications sent immediately and consistently, updating us along the way. They provided multiple options for us and other couples who were unfortunately having to change their plans and made it SO easy to continue planning without losing the true importance and magic of the day, all the while staying within the guidelines. They (as did wedding couples) had to adapt many times over the course of the pandemic and didn't once exploit the situation. Their owners and vendors had my Groom and I feeling so special, so important and like every detail of our day mattered as much to them as it did to us. The fact that the owners are the ones on the day of, doing the work and moving through your day with you speaks volumes. The grounds are gorgeously curated by one the owners, the vendors are all included in the price and everyone was responsive and kind. Truly a remarkable team and venue. Our daughter's wedding at Stonewall Estates was absolutely beautiful!! It was held in June 2021, during a pandemic, but the staff at Stonewall went above and beyond to make the day very special! They were very flexible and accommodating with last minute restriction changes. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and caring team to coordinate and oversee the day! Stonewall Estates is a perfect venue for a wedding. Times are tough these days for everyone but they are so accomodating and because of government guidlines we are happy to make the necessary changes and still have our perfect day. You will be blown away by the setting and service.

From the moment I first met with Earla I was in love Stonewall. I saw it in the winter and even with mud, skiffs of snow and frigid wind I knew this place was going to be my wedding venue. I would rate this place above 5 stars if I could. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't have changed one thing. The view of the river behind the arbor is gorgeous, the decor they have already in place is breathtaking and rustic and every single one of my wedding guests complimented me in person on such a beautiful venue. The food by Chef Alli was delicious and everything came out on time. DJ Russell who comes with the venue is the most organized DJ I have ever met and he made me so at ease knowing my wedding day would run smoothly. he also kept us all partying right until close with his fantastic music. I have to give the biggest thank you and best review to Alex, Stonewall's event coordinator. She took care of everything and thought of everything I could have missed. She was easily accessible via email or phone and we had multiple in person meetings to finalize everything. On the day of my wedding she catered to me and the bridal party. Not once was I questioning where I was supposed to be and she always made sure me and my husband were well fed and had a drink in hand. She is the best reason to hire this venue. I am an A-type personality and Alex made the wedding of my dreams come true without any added stress. If I could get married here again tomorrow I would. I loved every second and the venue is stunning.

Amazing Venue, Wonderful staff, Food was a total disappointment. Served Family style, but there was not enough food on the platers to go around the tables for each guest. Took way to long to get the food out in between courses. Sad when your guest have to go out to eat after the wedding because they did not get enough to eat at the wedding. Poor value for your money.

Intimate, cozy venue vs the traditional banquet hall. Loved the "antique" feel of the barn. Only wish the weather had cooperated so we could have toured around the other buildings and photo op sites. Took lots of pictures of the wonderful decor. Staff was very pleasant and helpful ...dinner was delicious! My only negative comment would be the photographers were very intrusive; many folks could not see the ceremony but that is not likely Stonewall's issue, so I would give it a five!

All of my wedding dreams came true at Stonewall Estates! As a bride, its not only important for the venue to meet your expectations, but the people running the venue to understand your needs, and translate those needs into the details of a perfect wedding- that is what you get with Alex and Earla. They take your vision and turn it into an organized, detailed, beautiful experience for both bride and guests. Unlike many other weddings held there, my wedding was chosen, planned, and carried out in only 4 days from the day of contact. My perfect wedding, during a pandemic, could not have been so thoughtfully executed had Alex and Earla not been so responsive, attentive, organized and flexible. They were able to accommodate our date, coordinate all music, food and floral vendors, organize all timelines, remind us of other appointments and obligations to take prior to and all while being mindful of budget. On the day of the wedding they ensured a flawless and smooth transition of events, from set up to tear down and personally made me feel calm with their warm smiles, clipboards, and timely check ins. Something you will not find at any other venue is thoughtfulness they put into each individual wedding. They treat each bride as if you were their own. A family run business, they understand that all the small details matter in a day you will remember forever. They go the extra step for their brides to ensure they are happy as well as their guests. Whether it is grabbing you drink while you wait for the ceremony to begin, sitting with you to calm your nerves, having a vase with water ready for you to put your bouquet, crying with you during speeches, reminding you to sneak away with your new husband to take some minutes for yourself, or changing set up last minute to accommodate a perfect picture, they are your venue team. They consider you family and they always put family first. I can’t imagine what my day would have been like if I had chosen any other venue. There is so many details we didn’t even see that went into the day that were instrumental in making it a success. So many elements that I couldn’t capture in one review. Thank you to the whole Stonewall Estates team for making my dreams come true!
