I think the DJ at my sisters wedding was not the owner of on the Mark. So to whichever employee we got, I hope you never butcher a ceremony as bad as you did my sisters ceremony on the biggest day of her life.
1. He wore a dirty T-shirt, jeans(or shorts) and a backwards hat. Forgivable, but dress appropriately!
2. NONE of the songs were correct for the entrances. He played the entire song for the groomsmen entrance, which should have been faded out once they were in and lined up. Then he started a new (wrong) song for the first bridesmaid, faded out and changed the song for the next one, then played the brides procession song for the 3rd bridesmaid. And played one final song for the last bridesmaid and did not change it for the bride.....just weird...
3. The microphone did not work, not sure if the batteries were not charged or if it was broken...either way, the guests sat in silence and did not get to hear my sisters and her husbands vows. Also, he did not seem very bothered that his equipment was not working properly.
4. He played music during the actual ceremony, during the vows...a guest went over to him and told him to either turn it down or off I think, he turned it down, but why was there ANY music at all?!?!?!?
5. He played NO music after the announcement of the marriage and during the recession of the bride and groom.
6. The reception went much better than the ceremony, the dance floor was pretty lit all night. However, Some people complained about the lack of genre variety and he did not read the crowd very well.
He was just extremely ill-prepared, and in my opinion, very unprofessional. I mean, this is the only day that this will happen for my sister and I wish that he would’ve appreciated that fact and done the day justice. I think that she should get a partial, if not full, refund.
