I had a bridal appointment over the weekend with Stacey and it was amazing! I was quite nervous as id never tried on wedding dresses before and don't enjoy shopping for myself in general, but every gown Stacey pulled for me I LOVED on myself. They have beautiful private dressing rooms that are roomy and cozy for guests, so perfect! I ended up saying YES to the dress, thank you so much Stacey for listening to what I had in mind and pulling dresses that you knew would look good on me. Highly recommend!

I had the most amazing bridal experience! This was the first place I ever tried dresses on and Stacey made me feel completely comfortable and she was so helpful to letting me know all about the dress details. She was amazing with my group and made them feel welcomed. Her knowledge about the process really put my mind at ease. I got the VIP experience and I would say to anyone doing the wedding experience... I would not do it any other way! It was like something out of a movie! I would only now do VIP! Absolutely terrible service on Friday March 10. The girl who we had a consultation with was extremely rude. Not only did she have her arms crossed the whole time but anytime my sister (the bride) asked her questions she would just respond bluntly. I have never met more pleasant, helpful, genuine, and caring staff at...probably any establishment. I had an absolutely awesome experience at Novia Mia. First of all my family and I really appreciated the one on one nature of the dress shopping. It was very relaxed and organized which made a hard decision so much easier! The selection of dresses was great, with many unique designs. I really was not sure what I wanted in a dress. After I gave a convoluted description of what I was hoping for, Maddie managed to bring me several options that I absolutely loved. She seemed to know what I wanted, even when I didn't know myself. When I was trying to make a decision between two amazing dresses, Maddie gave me some wise words of advice and ultimately helped me decide on the perfect dress. The shop is gorgeous, they have the best selection of wedding dresses, my favourite part was the service. The girls knew just how to make me and my group feel special and at ease. Brooklyn was my consultant and asked if we had an idea of what I was looking for. I only ever heard great things about this bridal store so I was looking forward to my appointment but I left very disappointed. My consultant Ashley could have cared less about me and what I wanted. I came in very open to ideas and suggestions but she only pulled a couple dresses in one style and when I did not like them, she said she did not have anything else for me. My mom went to look for dresses with her and found that they did not have much of a selection and that the quality of the dresses were not great. The consultant also continually pointed out that I did not fit into the sample size dresses, which does not help in enjoying the process. Another lady came in and tried to help but but bombarded me with so many questions that I felt overwhelmed. Overall, the store did not have a nice vibe to it. It seemed as if they were trying to come off as fancy, but just came off as cold and inexperienced. When we went to leave the consultant did not say goodbye or even acknowledge us and gave us attitude when we asked for some more information on a couple of the dresses such as price. I left with a very negative and disappointing experience. I would absolutely not recommend this store to anyone.

I went to a few bridal shoppes while looking for ‘the one’ and the customer service experience at Novia Mia blew anywhere else out of the water! The beautiful shoppe was kept clean and had amazing lighting and could accommodate my 6 bridesmaids and mother to come dress shopping with me. The shoppe was welcoming and the sales associate working with me only brought me dresses within my budget and listened to me raddle off what I thought I wanted and really made my vision happen (with the 2nd dress I tried on to be exact). They were not pushy either – I had come back for a second ‘try on’ with other friends/family members ‘just to be sure’ a few weeks later. The dress came in before they told me (4 months vs. 6 months) and needed very little alterations from their original measurements. They also provided me with a list of seamstresses – I used Specialized Alterations by Jacqui Green and LOVED her. I would highly recommend searching for your wedding dress at Nova Mia Bridal Red Deer!

I chose Novia Mia as my first location to wedding dress shop due to the variety of dresses they posted on Instagram that really caught my eye. When I booked I chose the VIP experience so we could have the studio to ourselves and so I could have four guests with me due to COVID restrictions on social distancing. Jenna helped us and was absolutely wonderful. She asked what style of dress I was looking for and she knew the exact dress right away. I did end up falling in love with the first dress I tried on which was the one she picked out from my list of things I wanted. I did try on about 20 dresses afterwards just to be sure, Jenna and the other girls that were there made it honestly one of the most fun days I could of ever imagined. They were so wonderful and made dress shopping an amazing experience! Afterwards they gave me a mini bottle of champagne, a cute bride hanger and a cute robe for getting ready on my big day. I highly recommend shopping here due to excellent customer service and a variety of beautiful dresses to pick from! Thank you girls <3

I wish there was a zero star option. I went to their sample sale in March to purchase my wedding dress. I picked out the perfect dress that had a smoke lining to it in my eyes. The entire time I was with the consultant I was saying that I didn't want a white dress. However, when I received the dress it was completely white and I felt pushed out of the store and told that the dress only came in one color. Believing it might have been the lighting I left the store since they were not helping me. When I got home and did some research I realized that there was in fact 2 colors. I didn't understand that "LATTE" was the color of the dress I tried on and simply signed the contract with the color "IVORY." I told the consultant that the sample dress I tried on was what I wanted and when she gave me the contract stating Ivory, I believed that was the color of the sample dress. When I made a complaint to the store, the manager didn't make any arrangements to meet with me face to face. She said it was my responsibility as a customer to review the contract with the consultant. After countless emails back and forth I decided to keep the dress and pay for alternations myself to put in a smoke colored lining. They did not offer a suitable solution. Worst customer experience ever! Future brides, make sure what you are requesting is being ordered!

They now even have an in-house seamstress for alterations and I don't have to worry about that piece anymore! All around just an excellent experience, 10/10.

Sounds to me like this is the place to go when you're in need of the dressiest dresses for dressing up and getting dressed. My fine friends recently went there for all of their dress up needs and still can't stop taking about how wonderful everything was and how happy they are with the dresses that they dressed in when they all dressed up and were dressing in a dress. It makes the tastiest ranch dressing seem poor their dressing here is that good!!!

A week before my wedding, I came to terms with the fact that I wasn’t in love with my wedding dress post alterations. I wanted something unique and edgy, and I felt I was kind of settling. On the Friday, 8 days out from my wedding - I decided to just see what else might be out there to rest my mind. I called Novia Mia and Melissa was working and right away made me feel at ease, told me to come in straight away and to see what we could find. She pulled out an unbelievable Willowby by Watters dress that literally felt like it was made for me. I had an appointment here a few days ago to find my wedding dress. My consultant was very helpful and professional in my search for the perfect dress. After sending her out several times to look for something very specific, we landed on a dress that I was very excited about. Unfortunately, an honest mistake was made by the consultant and it turned out the dress was several hundred dollars outside of my budget. I was crushed, the consultant felt awful, and I left without a dress. Once the manager, Melissa, found out what had happened, she went above and beyond to rectify the situation. She was able to work with me and find a solution we were both happy with. I went back and tried the dress on again, and had an even better experience the second time around. I am beyond impressed with how this mistake was handled, and I am very happy I was able to get the dress off my dreams!

Novia Mia Red Deer has been a huge disappointment. We ordered 5 bridesmaids dresses from them for my brothers wedding. The cost was over 2000 and they have treated us very poorly. For starters we paid to have two of the dresses rush ordered which cost $185 per dress and they only arrived a week before the other dresses! As well one of these dresses was not the size that was ordered. Then when the other dresses arrived the bride picked them all up and distributed them. The store mixed up two of the dresses and put them in the wrong bags with the wrong labels so they went to the wrong place. We now have to make additional trips from Edmonton to Calgary to swap dresses. One of the dresses that was swapped was already at a seamstress and was just about to be altered when we figured out what had happened. When I phoned Novia Mia the representative was extremely rude and kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain their mistake. Because she wasn't listening I had to keep telling her what happened. I asked for a manager to call me back but she couldn't be bothered. So the moral of the story is Novia Mia will probably make a mistake, rip you off and not take responsibility.

It's a beautiful studio with private dressing areas so you may enjoy your appointment with your loved ones without prying eyes. What an amazing experience!!! The staff are absolutely awesome, so friendly and kind. My dress was absolutely beautiful, I had to get alternations by Jacqui and she did a wonderful job!!! I would recommend novia mia and Jacqui 100 percent! I wasn't nervous to get my dress altered because Jacqui is very particular and a perfectionist when it comes to her sewing. We were upfront and honest with Kristen and she didn't give any attitude or try to sway us. A perfect lady she is! Well suited for her job! Both Kristen and Kennedy worked well together and were very accommodating as we wanted the sister to come and see and even spent the time to take 'Yes to the dress" photos. Was very upset with my costumer service yesterday. My service in the past was great, yesterday though was horrible. I had bought my dress with them and was super excited to try it on, sadly it was to small. I got upset and the woman helping me went to go see what had happened. Came back saying that this was the dress I ordered and the measurements that were sent out. After some persuasive she re measured me and turns out the my first measurement was wrong. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she asks if I gained weight. She then apologized saying the took my sizing wrong. I asked if we could return the dress for the next size up, she said we signed a contract and her hands were tied. Me and my family kept trying to find solutions but all she gave us was to take it to a semtress and hope for the best. She was rude the whole time and not at all accommodating to us. And then they continued to rush us out and not apologize. Would not recommend ever!

First off, Melissa is great ! She's helpful and honest, and listens to what you want. I recently purchased my dress from Novia Mia and it was so easy. I had been to a couple store before and found maybe one or two dresses that I was half interested in. Novia Mia's selection was, by far, my favorite. My dress came in sooner than expected and it was perfect when I picked it up! The store itself offers beautiful natural light and a spacious, clean environment. I purchased my dress Nov 2018. I saw a sample sale event on FB. They had pictures and sizes and lots of info. This enticed me to travel from Edmonton to their boutique. The store was clean and staff were very welcoming. It was a staff that brought a dress for me to try on, once they had seen the type of dress I was looking for. The price was awesome ( under $1000) and the color and lace were beautiful. It fit very close to my size. I had my twin sister there and they thought it would be funny to have both of us try on my top 2 choices. The one I went with was the one the staff had suggested. I drove in all the way from Calgary to try on wedding dresses with my daughter, mother and best friend. I was super nervous as I just lost 90lbs. Jenna meet us at the door and was professional from the moment she said hello! She listen to what I was looking for and find the dresses I had on my phone. The minute I put on the second dress I start crying and she knew exactly what to say and it Did not make it awkward. The store was super clean and they made all of us feel welcome. I left there feel like a million dollars and my dress is order for next year! Thank you for the gifts and i would recommend Jenna to anyone.

The store is very nice, modern and clean! We really liked the loft. The 2 ladies that helped us were so kind, helpful and genuinely tried to find a dress. Out of all the stores we have been to, Novia Mia has the nicest dresses. However, I think they would find a lot more business if they had a better plus size selection. There were countless dresses I would have loved to try on but couldn't. I understand I can order a bigger size but I have to be able to at least see it on my body. If they had a better selection for me before I find a dress, I'll definitely be back!

The worst experience ever for a wedding shop. They treated my daughter (bride) so disrespectful. Not once did she feel special. We had to ask them to help her get fitted. No smiling, it was almost like we inconvenienced them. Definitely would never recommend this place

Novia Mia has an amazing selection of beautiful gowns, extremely helpful friendly staff, and a very formally private, yet laid back atmosphere. I did not find my official dress here, but the experience that Novia Mia (Lucy) provided couldn’t be topped!! This store has a wide variety of styles and shapes of gowns for all sizes of women! While getting measurements the seamstress wrote down the wrong information. When the dress was ready for fitting it didn't fit and the manager began to blame us for not memorizing our correct measurements. No effort was given to fix the employee's mistake and the manager only made things worse with a terrible customer service attitide. First question the manager asked after measurements were determined to be incorrect was 'did you gain weight?' Would NEVER recommend this shopping experience to anyone. Steer clear and avoid the heartbreak.

Even while the new rules following the reopening of business during the phase 1 had us wearing masks for the whole appointment the were still able to make it the best experience possible.

Wow- I am still love struck! I had the most amazing experience today with Novia Mia here in Red Deer! Today was my first time ever experiencing wedding dresses and the trying on of wedding dresses! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I called in the morning to change my appointment and they were so accommodating and changed the appointment date for me. When I arrived at my appointment Lucy was my bridal consultant, I felt instantly comfortable with her. Dress shopping was the thing I was least looking forward to but she made me feel beautiful, understood and comfortable. She was someone you want to just hang out with. Even though I didn't have a clear vision or style she some how just got me. She was so kind while I tried on so many different styles. I can not say enough good things about her. The selection of dresses Lucy brought were AMAZING! As a plus size bride I was so scared they wouldn't have a dress that would fit and I'd be forced to have things pinned and held up and use my imagination. But that was not the case. They were size inclusive and didn't just feel like typical plus size bridal dresses with 3 dresses to chose from. If you're a plus size girl you understand just how frustrating shopping can be and when a store is size inclusive it means EVERYTHING! Novia Mia made me feel so special from start to finish. I could not recommended Lucy and the other staff there. They turned what I thought would be my least favorite part of wedding planning into the best day! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff and especially Lucy for the best day!
