I hired Simple Pleasures to cater a private event for 35 people at our cottage this summer and am I ever glad I did! This was by far the best meal we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and made from scratch. Kurtis has an amazing talent and you taste it in every bite. Even the leftovers were amazing and they didn’t last long. He was professional and incredibly adaptable. It was amazing to watch him work in a kitchen he’s never been in surrounded by our guests because the weather had changed. I can’t wait to hire Simple Pleasures next time we visit the island!

Hired simple pleasures to cater my small wedding of 14 guests. Owner was very difficult to reach while selecting a menu. Contacted them to confirm reservation a couple days before my wedding and never heard back. I left 3 voicemails and sent 2 emails. I wasn’t even sure anyone would show up. Every time I spoke to them leading up to the wedding, I informed them that 2 of my wedding guests have severe shellfish allergies and we didn’t want any at all. They still came with shrimp and scallops without discussing it with us. I tried to reach the owner at least a dozen times after this event to discuss the challenges and he wouldn’t answer when I called (out of province number) and never returned any of my voicemails. EXTREMELY poor customer service!!!
