Affordable rentals
Great customer service. They were the ONLY place that accepted filling up my balloons with helium. The balloons weren't purchased from them. Thanks a bunch:)
Great service
This is our goto place for entertainment rentals wherever we have large events at our home. You can rent the basics like dishes and cutlery to coat racks, party balloons, folding tables and more. They are friendly and efficient. Their location close to the large, Carling Ave Canadian Tire store makes it easy to find.

The company just left us high and dry with the wrong items, the day before our wedding. This is after sending a second delivery, with items missed from the first. We were on a call with a rep to go over the issue, and were told that nothing was being done about it today, and we’d get a call back on Tuesday from a manager to go over the issue. Two days after the event. The reps were friendly and helpful up to this point, but there’s still more issues than we can accept. We delegate to and trust these companies to help make our events go smoothly, and that’s not what we got.

I recently rented white folding chairs for my wedding. Cody staff were really friendly and helpful. The items were delivered and picked up on time. The only negative feedback - the chairs were covered in dirt and mud from a previous event. I don't expect rental items to be in perfect condition . I do expect items to be cleaned before they are rented to the next person.
Excellent service, fast and friendly and helpful. Quick and easy returns and pick ups. Rented a couple 6 foot tables and it was just 17 dollars all in for 4 days. Fyi, the rental periods for the tables included 4 days in the prices listed online. It didn't matter if you keep it for 1 day or 4 days so this gave a lot of flexibility for pick up and drop off. Definitely recommend.

Wasn't what we had expected. Used to be a party store now it is more of a rental place for party ware. Small selection of balloons for purchase mostly latex and some Mylar. Depending on your party needs, this place may not be what you're looking for.
In a world where customer service and attention to detail seems not to be a priority, Its so nice to work with a company that exceeds expectations at every turn. I've been using Cody Party to supply products for work events for several years and recently ran a larger community fundraiser called The Good Health Walk. Not only were they super helpful in arranging the quote, they provided a very generous donation-in-kind that allowed us to make an even bigger donation to the charity. As an example of customer service, normally they don't deliver goods on Sunday and when I asked about it their store manager - Amy - offered to come in (on her day off) and do the delivery herself. At the last minute she was unable to do so but arranged a rental van for me at no additional cost. WOW. Suffice to say, I'm a very happy customer and am happy to refer anyone to their business.

I often used Cody Party Event Rental for my catering jobs and its because of the top notch sales and service....Highly recommend!!!
If I could only choose negative stars... We rented 30*40 tents for two separate events. They had to bring the tent equipment through a large fence gate, so they charged us an extra $650 in Labour fees. We also requested cafe lighting to be put up and they forgot to add this for both locations. They came back after the fact and installed old Christmas lights that we had to take down because of how they looked. Also, the receptionist was incredibly rude when we called about the extra charges.
I've only ever rented chairs and tables for Christmas Eves here but I've always been happy with the service. The products are always exactly as described.
Showed up on time to pick up my pre-paid order - they said they didn't have the order. It was not until I fetched the proof of payment from my phone when they found the order. Then the order was short 24 glasses. They told me they had already loaded the glasses into the truck. When I challenged them to go count the cases of glasses they loaded into the truck,, they suddenly remembered there was one more case. Got home and found only 1/2 of the dessert forks I ordered were included.
Their customer service is really bad. They expect you to do the loading of the truck yourself. Regardless of how big or heavy. Then you return it and they do the same thing. Let you unload it yourself. One of the guys working there was little of a help but he smelled like liquor . Overall, was not satisfying at all.

Bought some helium balloons from here. It was great dealing with the staff and making the arrangements. They looked fantastic.
Everything was okay, till after the event. Okay, meaning it was not the best quality or service from Cody's. Then they decided to charge our credit card an ridiculous amount for missing items with no phone call or email to let us know. When I spoke to the Manager, she was rude & very defensive. She said it was an "oversight mistake" which should end up on Cody's shoulders not ours. When your team does a mistake - that on you honey!
Bait and switch. Cody party rental posted an ad on Kijiji offering 400+ in stock used white bistro chairs. After some back and forth we agreed on a price and went to pick up the chairs. Upon arriving we were informed there were no white chairs for sale and instead we could buy some beat up old yellow chairs instead. The staff and management were rude and had no interest in resolving the issue.
My opinion is very bias, but we have been around for over 20 years and we love what we do :)

My husband and I used Cody Party Nepean for our June 2017 wedding and were relatively happy with our service. We only ordered chair covers and they were a good price for the rental. On the day we picked them up, they made an ordering error and were 12 short, they said they would reimburse us for this (have not yet). They replaced the 12 with different, same colour covers.
The rental prices and process were fairly reasonable. Cody price matched a quote that I received from a competitor for the tent which I really appreciated. Everything was great up to a couple weeks before my event. My event is this upcoming weekend, my fiancee and I are planning our own backyard wedding. It is a surprise wedding, therefore we are receiving no outside help. The communication with Cody over the past 2 weeks has been very delayed. I've been informed that it is because they are very busy but again, given our situation it has become irritating. On average we get email responses between 24-48 hours later. In one of the emails we were offered to move our pick up date to a sooner date to help is out. I of course told them I wanted to move the date up as it would be less to do last minute. They confirmed that I could pick everything up a day early. I then wrote back, as it was very unclear and to be honest shady, to ask if that included the tent being delivered and set up. Everything on our contract was to be completed in the same day, there was no separate contract. I eventually received a response telling me the tent installation would still be on the original date during an 8 hour window (all the day before the wedding, I'm not please with this either, they should be able to give me a better idea on time). On top of this, today I called to cancel some of the items on my contract as they are no longer needed. I was told that I was within my 72 hours and could not change my contract. When they moved my pickup date up it also moved my cancelation dates up but they never told me this. As yesterday was a holiday, I could not have called then to do this so today when I called they refused to do anything for me. All this for about $125 worth of items. I don't feel that I was overly rude to the lady on the phone but I did voice my disconcern for their service. She never gave me her name but after about 2-3 minutes of conversation she hung up on me. I've honestly never had this happen before. I believe that if Cody had been a little more transparent this could have all been avoided but at this point I will never use their services again. I'm frankly disappointed that I can't switch to another rental company at this point.
Amazing Experience. My sister had to completely change her wedding plans due to covid but we were still able to rent decorations and get the extra items from Cody to make her day special, they practiced distancing and made sure that everything was clean and ensured that pickup and drop off were done safely. A+++ thanks so much!
Was charged an extra $50 to bring supplies to our suite after being quoted & unknowingly charged. Will not be renting from them again.

Just picked up a wedding arch. Not as pictured and in horrible condition (dirty, very scratched). Does NOT easily fit in the backseat or trunk of a car. You need both the backseat AND the trunk. Description and pictures need to be updated. Rep said she is 'trying' to have the pics on the website fixed but they have been online for months. Admitted pic is not what you actually get. Not hard to take an updated pic and upload so people know what to expect. Poor customer service. Picked up the arch at the back, walked to front of building and rep didn't remember or recognize me. Poor experience overall. Will not be a repeat customer.

After several years of ordering from Cody Party Nepean, we have decided that this organization does not value it's customers. We will never do business with this group again. Please be aware of the 'fine' print when you order. Find another company to service your needs, this one is just not interested in your business, just your c.c.
Communication was easy, rentals went as planned, and staff were friendly. Only (minor!) issue was that most of the table cloths were the ivory we had requested, but a few were stark white. Thankfully not noticeable once used in the room! Overall, good experience and would recommend their services.

I rented tables, chairs and plates for my wedding recently and it was a great experience. I had gone in for a quote and to see items in person. They drew up a quote for me which they printed and emailed it to me and weren't pushy at all. They did follow up a few weeks later which was helpful as I needed the push and reminder to finalize. The prices were fair and the whole process was easy. I appreciated the 4 days we had for the rentals to allow for set up and tear down. It meant we didn't have to rush. I had a last minute request for a heater a few days before the wedding which they helped with. They didn't have a heater available but they put me in touch with another company to assist.
Did an order via phone from Oshawa, Ontario. Ordered sweet 16 balloon bunch. Absolutely stunning. Full, vibrant and the recipient was ecstatic!
Amy is the best at her job. She treats all of her customers very well and goes above and beyond to please them. She is amazing. I highly recommend her services.

Excellent service and great products that we rented
My experience started off well. The website was easy to create an order and the lady on the phone confirming my order was really nice and helpful. On the day when I picked up my rental items, there was no basic customer service such as a "hello", only a "what is your last name", nor a "thank you" after the items were put into my car. My order was very small in relation to some of the events Cody deals with (20 people). When I got home, half of the plates were wrong. It would have been fine if I got a different size than I paid for as my event was only cocktail food, but I got tea saucer plates, which looked ridiculous. When it is minus 20 or more in January, it is not realistic to go through my order and unwrap all the saran-wrapped plates to check to see if mid-way through there is an inconsistency. My low rating is also based on the copy of the invoice I was given, which had all the other customers' names picking up an order that day and what time. There should be a more professional system where Cody is not sharing personal information. It may not be a big deal to most people but it is still unnecessary to share other clients' information with all clients that day.
Cody now shares space with Ructify. Rented a generator and it was great! Price point was awesome. No issue picking generator up or dropping it off. Very friendly staff who were very helpful. I'll definitely use them again and encourage others to do so. Great job guys!
Very dissatisfied with the customer service. They were given a deposit on Feb 25th for a wedding that was scheduled for May 30th. They make it clear that this deposit is non refundable but Covid 19 happened and the wedding did not take place. Extraordinary Times!! They are offering an in store credit which is completely useless to me as the wedding will never take place in Ottawa as I am in the process of moving. Their attitude is very non professional with a" too bad so sad attitude!" They have incurred no costs and will just keep the money (interest free loan I guess). I understand that times are tough but we all had to deal with the Pandemic. I had to keep a business alive during the shutdown as well. Any customer was entitled to a refund on their work orders if they choose to cancel. When could I possibly use this credit? Annette told me I could send people balloons!-really? I want to rate them 0 stars.
