Ashley is absolutely AMAZING!! Our team of hairstylists has worked with many great wedding planners but Ashley has taken wedding planning to a whole new level! Ashley's organization and cheerful personality made our job so easy and pleasant in so many ways. Ashley had emailed us photos of the bride and her bridal party along with their inspiration photos of the styles they wanted. The photos were labled with each of the ladies selfies and looks, along with what order in the day the ladies would be having their services done. This alone saved us time the day of the wedding because we knew what looks the ladies wanted and the hair type we were working with to create their look. When our team arrived at the venue Ashley told us exactly where to go to set up and was always checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Ashley's organization skills and attention to details made everything run so smoothly and on time for us and the wedding day.

My husband and I hired Ashley a little over a week before our wedding and although we have only known her for a short while, her out going personality and friendliness make you feel like you’ve always known her! My husband and I planned our own wedding and as the wedding was approaching we realized we had no way to do the set up on our own. Upon hiring Ashley, she met up with us, we showed her our plan for all the decor and talked about the wedding. Ashley picked up our decor items prior to the wedding and even went out of her way to pick up our seating chart the night before the wedding because it wasn’t finished on time! I don’t even know why we would have done without her. Ashley definitely shows her clients that she cares in so many ways! On the day of the wedding she worked so hard to make sure the room looked how we had envisioned it to look and she did an amazing job with our guestbook/ gift table! It started to rain during the wedding and she worked so quickly to bring everything in from outside! She ensured the first reveal went smoothly, and the walk down the aisle. She was a joy to work with and to have around on the big day. Everyone that encountered Ashely said she was absolutely lovely! My only wish it that we had hired her sooner! If you are a bride looking for a planner, day of coordinator or if you’re like me and planned your wedding yourself but need someone to execute it on the big day, hire Ashley!! Where do I even begin? When my husband and I first started planning our big day we had no intention to hire a planner and boy am I glad we changed our minds. Ashley was everything we needed and more. She was kind, approachable, responsive, professional and funny. It was like I was talking to a girlfriend, which I really appreciated. She was able to provide me top notch vendors in my price range which kept me on budget. As a people pleaser she also gave me the nudge I needed to stand up for what I wanted. In the weeks leading up to the big day Ashley and I worked together to coming up with an extremely detailed itinerary. Every minute of the day was accounted for, everyone knew where they had to be and when. My wedding went off without a hitch thanks to her planning, attention to detail, and our day-of coordinators Veronique and Rosanna. I couldn’t recommend Ashley more. Ashley is an angel sent from heaven! She saved our wedding and made everything run smooth on our big day! The first time i met Ashley was at my bridal shower day, I loved her energy, her patience and the way she coordinated everything professionally. She was the most amazing person to work with, she helped us through so much and put in so much effort and time to help us get through our last couple of weeks before the wedding! The two weeks before our wedding, we lost our florist and decorator and Ashley helped us find another Florist/ decorator within days, she attended all the meetings we scheduled and was always on time, she made sure we were happy and satisfied, she worked around our schedule and answered our calls and texts right away even when she was busy and going through other couples she always made time!! She became more of a friend to us than anything and she treated us like family. On our wedding day and throughout the day, she made sure everything ran smooth, she always checked up on us, she went above and beyond with her services to give us what we wanted and even more! A true professional!! I didn’t think I could afford a wedding planner because my wedding was so small. Our wedding would have been riddled with problems and headaches if it wasn’t for Ashley! Ashley made everything go so smooth and made my life In the day of easier, effortless and enjoyable! Through a series of unfortunate events, Ashley saved our wedding literally a day before our big day. She kept it calm, level headed, and professional managing a crises none of us foresaw. She pulled together all her contacts and was able to turn around what was turning a nightmare back into a fairy tale wedding we wanted. While she wasn’t hired as the decor planner, it’s clear we should have her hired for both decor and wedding day coordination to avoid the crises that came about. Ashley proved why she is a first rate wedding planner at the eleventh hour during our wedding. Her attention and optimism in times of stress makes her a top notch planner in the business! Hire her if you don’t want to worry about wedding stress or need assurances that all crises will be managed professionally.

Exactly 1 month post-wedding and finally got a chance to sit down and share my experience working with the superwoman, Ashley Farrell, owner and lead planner of Velvet Bordeaux Events. I don't know even know where to begin, so I will start with my first phone call with Ashley. My immediate reaction 2 minutes into the conversation was "Where have you been all my life?!". During and after that first phone call I felt instantly at ease and re-assured about all of our wedding plans and the final details leading up to our big day. During the course of the 6 weeks I worked with Ashley, she was an absolute pleasure and nothing short of amazing! She is incredibly organized, thorough, detail-oriented and thoughtful. She made herself available to us at all hours of the day, even sometimes responding to frantic text messages late into the night. The days leading up to our wedding day, she checked in with us multiple times and on the day of she even came to my getting-ready location just to see how I was doing and to make sure I had everything I needed - what a nice touch! There was a 6-hour gap between our ceremony and reception and they took place at different venues. We also had a number of cultural ceremonies with which Ashley had no prior experience. For the reasons described (long day, multiple venues, cultural ceremonies), I wondered, would she manage okay? What a silly question to ask! Ashley was more than okay, she was a super star!!! Guests and family who interacted with her thought so too with nothing but positive things to say. A few sentiments we heard from our family and guests were as follows: "She was so poised and knew exactly what to do at all times", "She always had a smile on her face", "She has such a great energy about her". I do not have a single negative thing to say about Ashley. She is phenomenal and is great at what she does. Rest assured, she will take care of you very well! A few things that really touched my husband and I: 1) His and her care packages set up in our bridal suite, 2) How present Ashley was and how much care she put into making our day perfect so we didn't have to worry about a single thing; she was always 3 steps ahead of us, and 3) Going the extra mile and staying past midnight when we had an issue with our McDonalds order for our late night and making sure it all got sorted before she left for the night. Ashley, I can't thank you enough for all that you did for Faiz and I. We are so grateful that we had you by our side as we said our I-do's! I would recommend Ashley without any hesitation or reservation to any couple planning their big day. Having a planner and/or coordinator is a huge help and if you're lucky to get someone as talented as Ashley, it is worth every penny!
