Wedding date: October 26th, 2019 Huge thank you goes out to Lisa and the entire OCC staff! From day 1 Lisa has gone above and beyond in helping make our dreams come true. The venue itself is stunning and spacious. We were anticipating a 400 person wedding that quickly grew to 650 people! Lisa and staff were accommodating in every aspect the whole way through. The week leading up to the wedding Lisa must have spoken to me and my husband at least 1/2 dozen times each day! She never once complained, reassured us that all our requests would be met. Even on the day of; she assisted my cousins with rearranging seating arrangements without any questions! Thank you to everyone at OCC for all their help! We had NO complaints from our guests; the food was great, the service was excellent, and most importantly; the shots were being poured! Thank you for making our "Big Fat Polish Wedding" a huge success! Would recommend this venue to EVERYONE!

Big shout out to this place. I worked there couple of weeks ago, and for the first time in my career the couple decided not to feed the vendors (after working for 12 hours). Luckily the owner of oakville conference center treated me and the other vendors like we were his family and offered us a table and food. I will definitely recommend this place to any of my future clients.

EDIT: It has almost been two months since our wedding and the Oakville Conference Centre has still not tried to contact us to rectify the situation. Talk about "excellent customer service" ???? My experience with the Oakville Conference Centre leading up to the wedding was okay. However, once we submitted our final payment, we noticed the service go downhill. There were a couple e-mails that we sent before the wedding that went unanswered. Then, to top it off, the venue put up a tent that completely covered the gazebo where we were going to have our wedding ceremony. It looked absolutely disgusting, and my fiance, who is about 6'4" couldn't even fit under the tent because it was set up so short. Our event coordinator, Lisa, did not tell us that this tent was being put up until a day before our wedding, so we were left scrambling for a backdrop that would make our ceremony look somewhat decent. We should have been given at least a weeks notice that this tent was being put up, and they should have made sure it was okay with us first because we paid to have our ceremony there. We also offered up many solutions to have the tent taken down, like that we would take it down ourself or we'd pay them to take it down, but Lisa was not willing to work with us; she was uninterested and acted like she didn't care at all. The main reason we chose to do our ceremony at the venue was because of the gazebo - if we had known they would cover it because of a 10% chance of rain, we would've chosen another ceremony location. So if you're reading this and you're thinking of using the gazebo for your ceremony, you better make sure there is a 0% chance of rain on your wedding day otherwise they will screw you over. Also, when we first visited the venue, Lisa told us that the walls were 99% soundproof and that we wouldn't be able to hear music playing from the other rooms. This was very misleading. The music from the reception room beside ours was so loud that we could barely hear our speeches. They should either coordinate the time of speeches with each reception room so that no music interferes or just don't tell clients that the wall is 99% soundproof, because it's obviously not. Overall, it was an awful experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially brides looking for a wedding venue. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Grumpy serving staff serving cold food. Pushed my arm out of the way to grab a plate instead of asking (they were behind me) - lacking basic manners. Long long delay between courses. Had to reuse cutlery which the staff basically threw back on our plates. Angry bar staff were visibly grumpy and more interested in watching hockey on their phone. Would not book here.

The place is very close to the highway Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), to Region of Halton and couple of Oakville hotels. Availability of different halls in personal choice is a plus point here. Food quality varies from function to function so is the service.

We want to especially thank Lisa Andrews for all her help, from answering all our questions in a timely manner to ensuring we got everything we wanted and needed, not just that but making sure it was perfect. From the moment we met till the day of the wedding her communication was always so timely, friendly and professional. She was AMAZING to work with and really helped ease any stress we may have had planning the wedding. We can’t thank her enough for everything!! Thank you for allowing us to come the day before to decorate, that helped us a lot, it really relieved some of the stress we had and allowed us to have a little break before the reception. Thank you for being the perfectionist that you are, if it wasn't for you this wedding wouldn't have been as organized and flow as smoothly as it did. The antipasto bar looked incredible! The food was delicious! The tacos and poutine were a hit. The staff were amazing and so accommodating with our needs!!! We also wanted to extend a thank you to one of the bartenders that was given a red envelop to give to us because they came late and didn't know where the card/money box was and didn't know what to do with it and gave it to the bartender. The bartender was so honest, he passed it along to the wedding party when he could've kept it for himself. For that, we want to thank him for his honesty. We can't thank you and the OCC team enough!! I attend the Homestead Christmas party here on December 1, 2017. Very festive decor at the entrance and lobby. I gave this facility a 5 Star rating mainly because of the food which was superb. It was buffet style with gourmet taste.

We had our wedding last weekend at OCC. The staff was very accommodating, they provided antipasto platters for the bridal party that was held up conducting the receiving line. Lisa Andrews always responded to my emails within a few hours and was great to work with. One thing I might point out is that towards the end of the evening the bar ran out of rum and scotch and they had to run to get more. The main male working our event was very friendly and adhered to our guests needs such as wanting more pasta or changing a sauce last minute.

We had a First Communion Party a few days ago and the party was fabulous because of the service that was provided. It was extremely well planned, and everything was perfect. Had my wedding here two weeks ago and we were overall pleased with our experience! We found the staff easy to work with. The day of the wedding the waiter for the head table was amazing, he checked so many times if everything is great and went out of his way for us. The bar staff also was super friendly! The only negative was that they didn't provide a plate and fork for cake cutting, which seemed odd that I had to think of that to tell them to do, as opposed to them asking us in advance. We would definitely suggest OCC for a wedding venue!

Attended a dinner organised by Oakville Chamber of Commerce. Staff was very pleasant . 3 stars for service. 1 star for food. 2 stars because of overall experience. Food- yes it is a banquet hall but if ownership settles for that you will only be able to serve so called mediocre banquet food with no emphasis on basic details. Presentation is very important but food quality is equally important. How do you serve wedges of romaine hearts for a Ceasars salad and you plate dressing on the plate to only be able to eat 25%of the hearts with dressing. The rest of the romaine had to be eaten plain. Bacon had cold fat congealed onto it. Maincourse- steak dinner- I was not expecting a AAA piece of meat but the meat needs basic decent beef flavor. Steak felt like it was boiled versus grilled or broiled. Very poor quality of meat, all meat cooked well done, food barely warm. We all ate because we were hungry and starving. Dessert - the best part of the meal. Chocolate Pate- excellent. Very nice presentation, excellent taste. Coffee after meal- stale and luke warm. Disappointing. Overall a fair experience. Service team - great job.

Nice venue but poor food services. Large facility with lots of parking. Very hit and miss when it comes to the food. My meals were okay but other people at our table were served prime rib where half of the cut was googly fat. Most items looked premade as well (pretty sure costco). The staff was 50/50 as some servers were good, and others terrible.

Venue was nice and big. The food had absolutely no flavor. The salad was covered in oil killing any flavor. The pasta was not seasoned and has no flavor. The beef was bland. The chicken covered in a sauce that also had no flavor. The chocolate brownie rated like plastic and the top was so hard when you try to cut into it, it smashed all over the plate. I made my allergies known before hand and when I got there but was still served food I was allergic to and then had to wait. Another table was forgotten about and didn't get their dinner until we all had desert and their food was good. I have been here a few tunes and never recall it being this poir. The"fancy" chair covers has tears in them. The water at the table was not cold. Always had to ask multiple times before receiving things .

For its large venue, the Conference & Banquet Center still manages to feel cramped. Oddly dedicating way too much of its internal space to things like lobby areas and hallways combined with setting out too many tables for the event taking place creates this clustered, claustrophobic atmosphere more better suited for a night club than an event hall. During the event the kitchen was under staffed and food took much too long to prepare for the evening, and the waiting staff's ability to manage dirty dishes was under par; Leaving tables around the room in the main venue with piles of dirty plates instead of taking them to the back with a cart, and not accommodating enough space for guests to order drinks. The only saving grace to the hall would have to be its optimistic and vibrant staff, who were smiling at every turn and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there.

We had our wedding at the Oakville Conference Centre, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The original plan was to have the ceremony outside, but the weather prevented that from happening. Instead, they were able to transform my room into the most beautiful ceremony space. The food was absolutely incredible. People are still talking about the food weeks later. Lisa was my sales rep and she was amazing. She was so thorough and was so quick on answering all my questions. Everyone I dealt with at the OCC was great. I couldn't have asked for a better team. My wedding was the perfect day.

The team at EDGE hospitality did a fantastic job with helping us in planning our wedding. Throughout the planning process they helped us clarify our doubts and provided expert counsel to a number of our queries. They were proactive with their followup and often reached out to us to ensure our concerns were being addressed. I attended a number of weddings for my close friends this summer and I know the support their vendors provided was far more limited than what we received with EDGE. On the day of the wedding, their onsite staff was responsive, courteous and attentive - something that was truly appreciated by our guests. I would highly recommend EDGE as a preferred vendor to consider for your special day.

My daughter recently got married at The Oakville Conference Centre in October. My daughter and her fiancé (at the time) lived out of provience, I was lucky enough to help plan the wedding. I had the pleasure working with Lisa Andrews. She was the person who provided my daughter and I with a tour last summer and I worked directly with her up until the big day! Lisa answered all my (many) questions along the way, she was so quick to respond to my emails with detailed answers. To be honest, I did not have to plan much! She made the planning process so easy! On the day of the wedding, she was the first person we saw when we arrived at the venue. She always checked in to ensure we were on schedule and everything was running smoothly. The banquet team was AMAZING! I felt like a queen and it wasn’t even my wedding! Our main contact on the day of was Mahmoud, he was phenomenal. Extremely attentive and took care of all my guests. We had antipasto platters and champagne waiting in the bridal suite. Such a great touch because we were starving! The FOOD was amazing! Everything from the huge antipasto station to late night was flawless!!!!! My guests are still raving about the service, food and venue! I would highly recommend The Oakville Conference Centre for anyone who is looking for a wedding or upcoming event.

My daughter Sameera was married on Aug 25th 2018. My planning process started 18 months ago when i reserved the 3 halls at OCC. I had also booked HBC on Aug 23rd thursday for 220 people for a pre wedding function. There were 450 attending at the wedding and reception for a family sit down dinner. I have never seen such great service, professionalisn, quality and care. The whole team from Aileen, Antonio, Lynn, Marissa, Roberto etc etc were beyond words. I highly recommend their facility. Their servers and bar tenders were equally up to the task. I want to thank OCC and HBC from the bottom of my heart for making my daughters day such a success. Thanks again. VB

This venue hosts multiple events at the same time. Unfortunately their walls are paper thin and if the party next to you has tunes blasting, your speeches, congratulations, etc. are going to be hard to hear. Especially difficult for guests seated close to the dividing wall. Really kills the mood when people are tearing up but you cant hear what they are saying over the macarena next door.

Greatly enjoyed my wedding here. Venue is spacious and very well lit with a beautiful patio/gazebo, but it is a little plain so decor is needed. The staff are friendly but not all on the same page. Different staff members would tell us different information. We had the buffet service and the food was good overall, but I wish we could have tried it out in advance.
