Dean and the staff always go the extra mile for their customers. They have adapted well to the Covid-19 restrictions with service and safety having equal footings. If they don't have something in stock they will get it in for you in a timely manner.

Majority of the employees are quite nice and most of what I have to say is not caused in any part by them, however there seems to be some inconsistency when it comes to the management. Dual ownership will do that to ya tho. You’ll always be treated nicely by the staff however don’t expect your orders to show up on time/when you’re told they will and if they do, don’t expect anyone to know where they are due to lack of proper communication and file management. Sadly only a handful of the employees are French speaking so don’t expect to get full French service and if you are calling in to see if there is an item available just.......don’t lol. It’s better to go to the store if it’s close or just go somewhere closer to you as even if it’s there you’ll probably get a “sorry we don’t cary this” or “sorry we are out of stock” (at no fault to the cashiers as they are not allowed to leave cash majority of the time) as the store has been going through renovations for quite a wile and the merchandising........... well.......isn’t done so things are a little.....all over the place. All in all it’s definitely not the place you want to go for specialized help but hey, if you want the cheaper option to Canadian Tire or Home Depot why not.

Well today I was treated like inappropriate by one the the staff the older one I was waiting for my items to come out when I person came out and told me to put a mask on I said I didn't have to I'm outside so I do want to give my apologies to the gentleman who was serving me I'm sorry but your other worker is rude and ingorant.

The 2 employees I encountered today were rude and snarly with me. I did not see anyone else being treated badly. I cannot wear a mask and they no right to discriminate against me instead of just honoring my exemption without the commentary. I'm giving 1 star only because I can't give none.

Very unsatisfied at first but great end result. Buyer Beware: when you order online make sure you get confirmation of price in writing or printed. When picking up at the store the price may not be the same as online. In my case the manager agreed to let me purchase at the price l was quoted. Very much appreciated. I apologize if l came on strong. It was very frustrating. Thank you for the courtesy

This store is not taking COVID seriously. I saw three staff members wearing their masks below their chins, and the woman at the front counter told me that the owner told them they only had to wear it when they're within six feet of customers. Given that there are so many hardware stores in the city, why go where the staff can't even take this issue seriously?

They always seem to not have everything I need. One day they had no medium steel wool. The other day only one can of paint, no Danish oil, only paint stripper in litres. If you actually need something drive to Gateway. For a hardware store they don't seem to have that much stock. What is the point of expanding if there's nothing in the store? You'd think that steel wool and paint are pretty common things that you'd want to have on the shelves to sell people. It's not like it's going to go bad.

The Gateway Home Hardware on Algonquin Ave is a hundred times better. Not only do they stock a much more complete inventory , but the management is also extremely understanding and so much better to deal with. I will never shop at Ferris Home Hardware again!
