I attended a wedding at Kurtz Orchard on Oct 1st. I have worked in catering for 15 years and this was an exceptional experience! Everything about it was magical! The set up was perfect for an outdoor wedding. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was plentiful and delicious. The wedding tent was perfectly situated for the sunset over the orchard. I would suggest a golf cart and/or flashlights for older people to get to the washrooms. They were a bit of a walk...this is not a complaint as no one wants to hear or smell a washroom ???? (we've been at weddings where this is a problem) To get to the washroom/parking lot you walked through the magical set up.

We stopped here for lunch during a winery tour. Has us waiting for 45 minutes for our sandwiches and soup. Some orders even got lost because they squeezed in orders from a group that came in later. The kid that worked service was very friendly and trying to help so we could get going. Unfortunately the general organization was so bad that this didn't really help either. We were an hour late for our next stop. Food was alright, but not even closely worth what they charge you for it. It looks great. It's clean. It's got potential. Staff however is incompetent and slow.

My husband and I were supposed to get married in July of 2020 at a different venue but had to postpone due to covid. When spring of 2021 came around and our indoor plans were not looking promising, we reached out to Kurtz as our new location. Kurtz planner Aleigh was incredibly helpful & always available to chat and help us bring our ideas to life. As the town of NOTL tried to navigate what step 2 was going to look like for weddings, Kurtz owner Anne was more than helpful & worked as a team with Aleigh & myself to make our wedding happen. When our wedding day arrived and it was torrential down pouring all day long, the Kurtz team adjusted our plans to still make for an incredible, picture perfect day. The food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly & the location itself was beautiful. Our family & friends can’t stop talking about how amazing our wedding was & I highly recommend this venue to anyone searching for the perfect outdoor location.

My daughter was married here on June 23. When choosing an outdoor wedding your really at the mercy of the weather so I wondered if she made a good choice. As it turned out it was a very rainy day. However it turned out fantastic. What made it work was the great staff. My daughter wanted the ceremony outside if all possible so we watched the radar and found a hole in the rain and were able to do it. The staff said we just need 15 minutes to change from outside to inside dry the chairs etc. Food was great! Setting for the reception was beautiful!

I was here for a wedding on Thanksgiving. The venue is beautiful. So many different little landscapes around... grape fields, trees, large pond with koi fish, barns, beautiful bridge over the pond. Really enjoyed it!

Went to this place two years ago and I was so impressed with the food that I decided to take my mom here for lunch this time. When we got there I was told that they only serve ready-made sandwiches. I was so disappointed we didn't stay for lunch. However, they still have a good variety of their homemade jams and salad dressings.

A lovely Place my cousin Celebrated his wedding here and the staff where very courteous and the accomodations that they are accustomed to making for their guests and visitors were very well laid out. Looks like there has been a change in ownership of this popular tourist rest stop and eatery. The place was vacant. 4 items on a preset menu. No Sandwiches or all the other Kurtz items offered in the past. Outside chairs were dirty and were too low to use the ONE table available. Inside looked like a cafeteria with rows of empty Tables. Washrooms were " CLOSED TEMPORARILY " I cannot believe how far down this place has dropped in terms of product, service and ambiance. I expect this place will fail very soon.

Great local jam store. They grow the fruits themselves and make preserves enjoyed by the local population and travellers. Not as big as your more well known brands but they beat them in quality and taste. It costs a little more but worth every penny. Anyone visiting Niagara Area must try there jams.

We had our wedding at Kurtz in August 2018 in the Marketplace tent. It is an absolutely stunning venue with beautiful views. They were very accommodating and flexible -- if you want something, they'll find a way to make it happen! Our only complaint was that communication was difficult at times, with some long wait times for emails. However, communication in the weeks leading up to the day, and the day of, was great. Staff were all super lovely, tent is beautiful, and our guests raved about the food and views! Many add-ons were also available to us, making our day even more special, such as a late-night poutine station and morning after brunch. All our interactions with the staff at Kurtz were very positive, and we would definitely recommend this gorgeous spot!

I went to a lovely wedding here in the fall. One thing that really stood out to me was the staff. It was pouring rain during the meal and they had to transport the food from another tent to the main one, but they were all so friendly and did so with a smile.

It's a wedding; we'd like to enjoy some drinks, Mom. The miserable woman standing behind the bar all night giving dirty looks to guests and staff alike was bizzare and unnecessary. Bartenders clearly felt uncomfortable in her presence. A group of adults at a wedding should be able to enjoy some drinks at the bar without mother Goose projecting her misery cloud over the event.

Horrible Wedding Venue that almost cancelled wedding day before! Despite the beauty of the area and the charcuterie platters, find another venue in the area. The Venue called the groom at 4:30PM on a Friday before a Saturday Wedding to inform us of building and fire violations that threatened not only a DRY wedding with no permit, but the wedding is shut down completely by the fire dept. Apparently, they knew about these violations for weeks, and also didn't inform the bride and groom till the day of, and went back on their word they would take care of the SOP. Also it took 1 hr after the wedding guests started showing up to find anyone to put out water and open the bathrooms once we found someone. Horrible service, staff who yelled in your face, and an as$# of an owner who showed up at 10PM to say lower the music.

There is no organization at all. Wasted 2 hours of driving and waiting around since no one was showing up. About half an hour later we called them since we were tired of waiting around, then a lady shows up 20 minutes later (when we had an appointment booked an hour earlier!!!!) All of this JUST TO TELL US that our date is already booked and we can't use the venue. They knew our date prior to the meeting as we mentioned it many times. They coudn't have let us know over e-mail instead of wasting our time? Seems like a nice venue but very poor planning and organization.

Reached out over email to ask to take wedding photos at their orchard. I received a stock email about how their orchard is perfect for weddings and if I wanted to go on a tour. I responded and said I just wanted to take wedding photos and they said I still need to book a tour. Drive 30 minutes to go on a tour where they keep us waiting for 45 minutes, then tell us that they don't let people take photos without having a wedding there and that they already have an event booked for our wedding date (they knew our wedding date from my original email)... Completely unorganized and incompetent, can only imagine what it's like working with them to plan a wedding.

Epic venue and wedding! My daughter's wedding this August at the Gracewood Estate was magical. The festivities began under the big oak tree, where the ceremony was performed. Charcuterie and dinner took place under the big tent, filled with lights and chandeliers. The meal (braised short ribs, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, and butternut squash ravioli) was abundant and delicious, and preceded by the family style Beet salads and pear salads, equally delicious and picture perfect. To top off our event, a bride and groom sparkler dance took place in the field outside the tent during the twilight/blue hour where we then surprised the guests and the bridal couple to a spectacular fireworks display by Firemaster Productions. The party was made great with DJ Patryk of Liquid Entertainment, and live band Avenue Inn. The afterglow included poutine and deep fried fritter donuts. The warm weather and scenic ambience added to the grandeur of the day. Our wedding planner, Laurie, from Kurtz, guided me in the weeks leading up to the day, with many tips and suggestions. We essentially planned many aspects of this wedding in 3 weeks. Laurie provided her games of giant jenga, bocce, and bean bag toss under the cherry trees, for the guests to enjoy before and after dinner. The Gracewood home allowed for a lovely place for the bride and groom and others to get ready for the big day. If you want a unique and memorable venue for your special day, this is it. Thank you to Anne Kurtz, Aleigh, Laurie, chef Shawn, and the staff at Kurtz.

They were always so kind, understanding and accommodating. The venue speaks for itself - the property, the tent, the orchards are all so beautiful. What makes this place great is the attention of detail that Aleigh and Anne provide. Everything you dream of can be done at this venue.

This venue is stunning and our day was almost perfect. Had a hard time communicating leading up to the day which was frustrating for sure. They were under staffed at our wedding so we were told but Laurie did an amazing job and I would 100% tell anyone that books this venue to try and work with Laurie she is unreal at her job and just so so sweet! The food is also unreal Another thing I would say is not to book their DJ. We were so excited for him we sent a playlist like he asked. there was maybe 10 songs played from that play list the whole day. We wanted an earlier wedding so we could get lots of dancing in with our kids...when a groomsmen asked him to play music to dance to instead of playing instrumental sad/dull music he said that's not what i was told to do..the groomsmen said the bride and groom are asking he still wouldn't do it. We had several guests complain about him being rude to them when they requested songs, he was even rude to us being the bride and groom. He messed up our first dance and we had to rein-act it for the photos and half of the guests were off doing something else. When we said you didn't play any of the songs we asked he said well they were inappropriate for a wedding, maybe instead of telling us our playlist we sent to him was unreal he should have said some of the songs aren't inappropriate and go from there instead of not playing any of them...pretty sure the country songs I had on there (along with a ton since we sent 10 hours of music) were not inappropriate. He didn't play any country songs till the and he played 3 in a row. This was a massive disappointment as we love our music I would do it all over at kurtz as I was in love with the venue its stunning and again the food is amazing you really can't beat it and Laurie was just awesome...of course Anne as well :) We just wouldn't have hired that dj we said we would have rather play our playlist on the ipad we would have been much happier that way But Overall Kurtz made our day very memorable and I will forever cherish it.

After cancelling our original wedding venue, we yet again began our venue search. We reached out to Kurtz Orchards, and with one email from Aleigh, we knew this was the venue for us. Aleigh showed us so much understanding and compassion, and did everything with ease to ensure our wedding day was everything we'd wanted. The planning process was so smooth, from all the emails, to site tours, to a take-out tasting, and even having to re-schedule due to covid-19, Aleigh and Anne were accommodating in every way, and they really made the experience so special. The wedding day was an absolute dream, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The grounds at Gracewood are absolutely STUNNING, the staff were happy to accommodate any request, and the food was incredible. Everything was perfect. We can't thank everyone at Kurtz enough, we feel so lucky for the opportunity to have had our wedding at Kurtz, and would most certainly recommend to any couples!

got enegaged over christmas 2019 was super excited to find this venue in niagara and was hoping to have my wedding here. its been two weeks and i still havent heard from anybody, out of all the venues and event coordinators they are the only ones who have not reached out to me or even respond back with an automated message. super unimpressed and read multiple reviews of how hard it is to get a hold of anybody. im happy that i did not put a down deposit or have to deal with working them. I can't imagine how stressful it is for other brides! take your money elsewhere ! good luck!
