Beautiful hotel in beautiful location . Never had a decent restaurant in it I 26 years . Come to Nelson enjoy the veiw and other anenaties , but find your meals at almost any other food venue in Nelson . Given this restaurant dozens of second chances under new management and otherwise over the last 25 years..its been remade and remodeled many times but the food and service have remained unsatisfactory for the duration .

We stayed here while attending a close family members wedding near-by, during the 2021 heat wave, outside temps were near 45 degrees, but the room temp was still perfect. I splurged a bit as it was also very close to our anniversary and got the fancy spa suite and was impressed. The room was comfortable, spacious, well laid out, had a walk out onto the ground level with a small yard area for those rare moments when it wasn't hot enough to smelt steel outside. Never got a chance to try the pool (private person, not big on public pools) but I'm sure it was wonderful. Despite an abundance of activities going on around the hotel (it overlooks a marina) we never once felt we didn't have privacy or peace. In fact this resort may very well make Nelson our go to destination for our anniversaries going forward.
