Never been in such an expensive "dollar" store. The lady stood there tapping her nails with impatience Asif to so hurry up and leave thief I have things to do! Just wanted a pair of sunglasses that even on sale were $6!! Rude!

We bought an Ethernet cable here and inquired about the return policy to the employee at the till (we weren’t sure it was the right cable). The employee said “yes, you can return it as long as it is within 7 days” which is not congruent with the the policy of the dollar store unbeknown to us. Today upon going to return it, the lady in charge did nothing short of telling us we were wrong, and refused to take responsibility of the miscommunication we were subject too. Very unimpressed. If you are looking for customer loyalty it is not here, we didn’t even get an apology, “no, you are wrong, we can’t help you”.

This is a good store though the sign can be somewhat misleading, unlike say castlegar this is not a true dollar store it's a collection of dollars store. While some items are a buck most are not and can run far more than a dollar so pay attention to your purchases. That said it's a good place to get those specialty batteries, kitchen gadgets, craft supplies, incense pet toys party supplies mostly in the dollar or two range, parking can be a bit of a pain but that's true of all Baker st at times the staff can be involved in other projects so you can expect a wait at the till from time to time but usually friendly

I'm only giving my PERSONAL experience shopping here. I went in to buy a cheap screwdriver. Walked around for about 30 secs before I found what I needed. Was asked if I needed help finding something. I said no to the one lady, I found it just now. So I start walking towards the cash register. The lady who was at the register apparently either is eager to help a shopper, or needs to know where the person of visible minority is. She tries to pass it off as, well... I dunno. So I brush off the overtly dirty look she gives me and proceed to the register. There I find out that my 2 dollar screwdriver will cost me 5 dollars, because there's a 5 dollar minimum purchase on debit or credit. I couldn't imagine what she would have done of I pulled out my credit card. Pretty sure she would have assumed it was stolen or something. Anyways. I won't be going back there. Very uncomfortable shopping experience.

Not open Sundays (fix the website saying its open) staff seemed cranky when I asked where an item was. Store is clean and well stocked.

It's not even that good for a dollar store. If you actually have anything you need it's worth the drive to castlegar. You're going here because you don't care that whatever you're buying is trash and going to break in 2 months. Staff are very friendly though.
