Chahko mika mall is great .

Small strip mall anchored by a small Wal-Mart and a really great Save-On. A small Coles, a liquor store, Shoppers, The Source and some other basic mall clothing stores as well as a small food court. Basic for travellers and locals, don't get too excited about shopping here if you're used to mega malls or even just larger malls in general. Best view of Kootenay Lake however with walking path access on the north side of the parking lot that leads east to Lakeside Park and Beach as well as a trolley car ride that passes through the lot. Parking lot is big but can get hectic during summer.

Unfortunately, this aged little mall is right on the beautiful waterfront, with only a large parking lot looking over it. Could do with a renovation and some landscape planning to help utilize the waterfront and the lakeside trail to improve the shopping experience — sort of an "open air" mall like they have in Salt Lake City's Gateway and City Center mall (still popular in winter climes).

Shoppers is open until 10 PM so you can get your prescriptions transferred there if you can't make it at an earlier time. Seasonal/Holiday kiosks and events such as Trick-or-Treating and Meet Santa and tax assistance. Sky-lights and seating throughout for your waiting spouse's comfort or your own. Coffee shop "JAVA" with smoothies, food, specialty coffees and WIFI and a bathroom for customers.

I order my groceries online and am able to drive up to the door and they load them into my trunk. I love this service during this difficult time. They do a great job filling my orders. Safeway in Nelson does the best flower arrangements. Thanks to Lua!!

I think I've reviewed this place like twelve times - I don't understand why Google keeps asking me to. Long story short - it's a mall in a town with about 10k people. There's a Wal-Mart and an A&W. Some highlights are Save On Foods - the best grocery store I've been to in Canada. The liquor store beside Save On is also exceptional - best selection of craft beers in Nelson. The rest is pretty much what you'd expect. Malls kind of blow.

They have made some strange decisions around covid. like removing all the Indore and outdoor seating, sofas yeah I get, but park benches and hard indoor seating, come on this isn't about public safety. And lots of vulnerable vcommunity members need that indoor place with ac to go and sit in the summer. Bring back places to sit rating goes up to 4 star. Add a shady place to leave your dog with a tap for fresh clean water 5 stars.

Lots of grocery store stuff and outdated fashion. I understand it's the mall of a small town, but there is no depth to the tenant list. This is literally waterfront shopping, but you feel like you're at Walmart, well, because that is the biggest part of the "mall". Not sad about my experience, but not impressed.

Although there is a wide variety of shopping including a Wal-Mart, Save-On Foods, liquor store, Mark's Work Wearhouse, salon, pet store, clothing stores, Shoppers Drug Mart, food court, and even a Service Canada office; the management and security of Chahko-Mika Mall are very disrespectful and discriminatory towards anyone they don't like the "looks" of and are known for handing out lifetime bans for assumptions that they have of people with no real proof for those assumptions. Shopping is good but management and security is bogus. Definitley needs an overhaul.

I Love the mall the Government. Office is very helpful. For many peoples needs and very polite people work there. And i love. Save on foods. I find. It well managed very helpfull people work there ! i would perferr to go when they first open. But not in the winter time now am not scared to take my car any were. Now that my car is all fixed up ..there is a very nice Detailing Shop in Nelson but i can not remember the name of it or whom told me about it..boy does my car ever NEED a Face lift..

I have been shopping here off & on for almost 15 yearz with no problemz until recently. I waz suppozedly seen talking to someone who iz disliked by the owner & security crew of the mall & waz told if I waz seen on the property the police would be called. This iz not legal but I decided not to fight it becuz I do not want anything to do with a place that discriminates in any way. I encourage anyone with similar feelingz to take their buziness elsewhere.

There are several stores located in this mall. Wall mart and Save on foods supermarkets are inside here. KFC, Subway several other food stores and clothing stores can be found. Moreover, a pet care shop and an electronic items shop are there. You can spot Bell & Telus vendors here as well. There's a spacious parking area. Wheel hair accessible parking and entrances. A public rest room is also located inside.

"Its a small town mall", what more can you say. It has all the common aspects of the Canadian RioCan corportion style of indoor mall. Good place to hand out resumes if your in need of work while staying in Nelson. Food court is gross. There are no electronics to buy here except for at the Source, Walmart and very little occasionaly at Shoppers Drugmart. If this town can ban McDonalds and Tim Hortons, why do they allow this place to be here?

We drove all the way from Yahk BC to attend the walk in clinic and got turned away. Horrible experience. The walk in clinic told us to call there other clinic Anrock for an appointment and they couldn't help us. Huron Medical Clinic from Creston BC told us to go to Nelson to get the drivers medical to renew his class 1 license. Cranbrook Hospital and Creston Hospital plus all doctors from each town has turned my husband down just for a simple medical. No license renewal means no job, our system is faulted.

I was able to pickup some medicine, buy some clothes at Mark's, and snatch a new controller for the Nintendo Switch at Walmart for a really good price. The indoor walkway makes for easy travel between the shops as well. I really liked my shopping experience in the Chahko-Mika Mall.

A beautiful park. The nature center is a bonus and must see with their displays, coffee specialties etc. We viewed the salmon spawning too. The count was 800+ that day by a posting outside the nature center. Great showers too. Hot water!

A small mall in a small town, it has a pretty good mix of shops including a Walmart, Save On Foods as well as liquor store and a small food court. There is also a Service Canada office there which is very handy.

This mall isn't a huge glamourous mall with large amounts of people pushing their ways threw.. It is a quiet place for the most part with a few good stores like Ardenes and a marks work warehouse outlet as well as a book store and there is 4 places to eat in the food.court section.. Last but not.least there is a save on foods and a walmart also located at this mall ..

A decent mall for a small town like Nelson. Nice seats when waiting for family to finish shopping. Some food stores such as KFC and a nice java shop. On a hot day, there is airconditioning. Good amount of parking, but the place is busy.
