From start to finish the Juliens were amazing. First and foremost were the pics, which we love. They exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier. We had an elopement wedding with just our kids, sitter and makeup artist. Because of this we spent a huge portion of our time with Courtney and Steve. The energy they brought was great and really made our day extra special. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for clean, crisp, timeless wedding pics. Thanks Steve and Courtney!!♥️

Steve and Courtney are the best photographers we have ever worked with! They made us feel comfortable and heard throughout the entire process. They listened to what wanted for our special day and went above and beyond to make that happen. On the day of they were so great and prepared (especially with snacks to help us get through the day) for everything! It really touched us when they stayed a little longer (even though we told them they didn't have to!) on our wedding day to capture a special moment at our reception. They were able to get one of our favourite photos from the wedding by doing that! Beyond this, their photos are GREAT and we look at them so often. Words cannot describe how incredible these two are! I met this wonderful couple through a friend while attending a concert in Vancouver and had an instant connection. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with them while co-ordinating a wedding, being a part of a bridal party in a wedding they were hired for, and through my own personal photo sessions with them. Professionalism, Creativity, Efficiency, Enthusiasm, and Worth are all words I would choose to describe them, and that is just the tip of the ice burg. I have recommended Steve and Courtney to all of my friends and family when looking for a photographer, and all have chosen to work with them after seeing what they provide. I am lucky to have been on both the client side and the vendor side, and found it to be such a smooth process. Courtney is great at providing a fun and comfortable atmosphere when doing intimate shoots, and worked well with me on posing and getting me into my comfort zone. When it comes to working with them during weddings, the benefit of having two photographers on the day of is great, and their eye for design is impeccable. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that I will be hiring these two for my wedding in the future, and would whole-heartedly express anyone looking for breathtakingly beautiful and unique photos, to do the same, you won't be sorry! EDIT: We just got married on August 1st, 2021 and had the absolute pleasure of working with Courtenay and Steve for our engagement photos and wedding as hoped. We received our teaser photos today - they are STUNNING. Our family can't stop talking about how beautifully they turned out and how much of a pleasure Courtenay and Steve were to work with. The Juliens arrive on time, fully prepared, and are on point throughout the entire day without a hitch. They are fun, stress-free, comfortable, energetic, and incredibly professional. Communication prior to the wedding was top notch, and has stayed as such even after the wedding with what we are to expect next. These two are WELL WORTH the money and bring infinite amount of value to your wedding day memories. You will not second guess your decision to go with this couple!! I highly suggest going for the same day edit, and extending the timeline to include golden hour photos if possible!

Going into my wedding I knew 1 thing... the pictures would be all I would have to remember the day by (other than my amazing husband ???? ). I spent a lot of time researching photogrphers and even put out feelers on Facebook to see who people would recommend. Over and over again the Julien's kept getting recommended. My husband and I booked a meeting with them and it felt like we were having coffee with old friends so I booked them right away! Leading up to the wedding we had our engagement photos with the Juliens and they made the experience so easy and recommended great spots for what I was looking for. They also set up 3 meetings before the wedding to go over so many details that I would not have even thought of from who would be in what family pictures, the orders they would be taken in, the day's timeline, and every other little detail in between. They were extremely thorough and always made us feel calm about the whole thing. The day of Steve went to hang out with the boys and Courtney came and took pictures with us girls. We had the best time, they were on time, proficient, and SO much fun to have around. I got all of the shots I wanted! DUring the wedding they seemed invisible but the pictures we received seemed like they were EVERYWHERE!! They were both dressed perfect for the hot summer day, profesional but still semi-formal. They made the family pictures go very smooth and very quick. During the reception, again, they were everywhere but out of sight (I don't know how they do that!). They got pictures of all the details of my reception and some amazing candid shots! Courtney even joined the dance circle and busted out the worm ???? The beauty of having 2 photographers? They get every angle and they make set up time for lighting, etc VERY fast. We ended up with over 800 professionally edited pictures and every single one is AMAZING. I cannot recommend the Julien's enough!! If you want a seamless, effortless day full of amazing memories caught on camera, you need the Juliens!!

We were so honoured and excited to have them capture our big day and we’re true professionals in their lighting, setting up shots, and making us all f el comfortable and relaxed throughout th entire process. The Juliens shot our wedding in 2014 and I finally got around to sorting out our wedding album last week, but hey, it was a great trip down memory lane. They captured the excitement and emotion of our day and worked with our request to film the ceremony, edited down to 20 min to show case all the meaningful moments. Selecting the best photographers within our budget was a priority for me and, after the research and shortlisting, I'm still very pleased we chose them, and that they agreed to be part of our special day :)

We cannot say enough good things about working with Courtney and Steve! From the moment we were engaged, I dreamed of having them as our photographers based on the work of theirs I saw online. I was worried we wouldn't be able to book them since we were only engaged for a few months, but I think COVID was on our side because they were available for our Saturday date in the spring. From our very first email interaction, their sense of humor and passion was evident and this was confirmed in our first Zoom meeting with Courtney. They were very reasonable, willing to accommodate our budget, and always quick to respond to questions and reassure me as the bride when I had my moments of anxiety due to the constantly changing health orders/restrictions. Working with them the day of was fun, easy and relaxing. They make such a great team, had us laughing throughout and there were no moments where we were left wondering what we should be doing or what the plan was. Courtney and Steve are full of great suggestions for locations and know how to capture stunning portrait shots as well as those special candid moments. After the wedding day, they were quick to send us some teaser pictures and also put more on their blog which we were so excited about. Again, we could go on and on about how wonderful they are. We absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an easy going and fun experience and some killer photos!

I would highly recommend Julien Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer on Vancouver Island! My husband and I used them for our wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara Resort and could not have been happier! Our experience right from the initial communication to the final delivery of our image gallery exceeded our expectations. The photos turned out incredible and we now have so many stunning images to look at. The best part is that Courtney and Steve were fun to hang out with and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Our guests are still raving about how good our photographers were (and we are too)! After months of searching for the best reviewed photographers on Vancouver Island, we found the Julien’s. Since we live in Vancouver, we weren’t able to meet them right away, so we scheduled a call. It was important for us to find someone who we felt comfortable standing in front of the camera with since neither of us feel very relaxed doing so. After our initial phone call, my husband and I were sure that the Julien’s would be the perfect photographers for us. They both have a special sense of calm and enthusiasm that really helped us loosen up, but also made us feel excited about being photographed.
