As you all may agree, your wedding photo sessions may be one of the first professional photos you take. Therefore, we are not supermodels that know how to exactly stand or pose or not pose! Although, my husband was more of the star and seemed to be in the perfect positions in every photo and needed little adjustments. Hahah...Chuck and his team were very helpful at creating those "magical, romantic" movie like photos. They were great at giving pointers and advice and minor adjustments to help create those moments. I never would have thought that hiring the right photographers for our wedding would make such a huge difference to my enjoyment of the day itself. My wife and I started the day nervously, we planned a busy day and wanted everything to go smoothly. Before I knew it I was just laughing and enjoying every step of the way due to Chuck and his assistant's positive vibes. It was reassuring to be guided by such confident and capable guys. There were many more shots set up than I had expected but everything stayed on schedule. They worked SO HARD for us. I first experienced Chuck's photography as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding years ago. When it was time to plan my wedding, I hadn't forgotten his calm nature and creative eye. Not only did I get these qualities from him he also saved the day with his quick thinking and strong community connections. Rain came pouring down and before I had a chance to think about the beach photos we planned, Chuck came up with a fabulous alternative location that was better than our original idea so we wouldn't sink in the mud. With the rain delay we kept him longer than anticipated, and he always made sure to check in with us to make sure we were happy with what we were getting. I've already had one of my bridesmaid's ask if she can hire him too. I don't normally do reviews, but considering how overwhelming it is to find a great photographer (as there seems to be so many out there to choose from these days), I'm hoping this may help people out when making their decision with who to go with. For my husband and I, Chuck Hocker of Etched Productions has been the best we have come across hands down. If you are looking for a unique, professional yet personal photography experience, I'd personally look no further... this would be your guy. He is a wealth of knowledge on different ideas for locations, settings and creativity and is definitely skilled and trained at what he does. On top of that he makes the entire experience totally fun and comfortable, while giving you lots of direction on everything from your standing position, posture, and angle/tilt of your head and which direction to look. This makes a HUGE difference as we've experienced much disappointment with other photographers who don't take the extra time to correct your posture/position or guide us what to do. The end result is photos of us having terrible head and body angles, showing double chins, sloped shoulders, hunched backs....or having the majority of the pictures just being ok and getting only a couple great ones. We've had two lifestyle sessions so far, and honestly we've been blown away (both times) by the number of amazing shots. He completely exceeded our expectations as we are both quite unphotogenic and I can still remember the first time seeing him, I was only expecting a couple decent pictures out of the lot. For myself I wouldn't look so much at the cost, but what you are going to get in the end, and for me you really can't put a price tag on that. I'd definitely recommend Chuck to anyone... you won't be disappointed!!! Looking forward to our next Lifestyle Session with you Chuck... you truly are above the rest!
