Terrible. We tried to cancel services with them since we were no longer doing a wedding reception and we needed to move our wedding up nine months since my wife's grandmother is dying so we had to finish planning a wedding in 12 days. So we didn't need a DJ. They acted flexible and accommodating when they counter offered to just do the ceremony for half price. So we sent them the rest of the payment and returned the sound system we were going to use for just the ceremony. Five days later they messaged us and told us they couldn't do it after all and they kept the additional money we had sent them.

Cancelled services almost 2 years ago. Paid in full during a promo in order to get new equipment. Once cancelled, I requested my deposit back. Received $150, still have $300 outstanding. When requesting MY money back multiple times, the owner Darren, rudely messaged back - stated he'll get MY money back to me when he can. What an absolute joke. Can not stress to people enough to avoid this company. I clearly will never see my $300 again and have informed my whole family out East not to do services with them. Please note, I have a physical copy of our contract in possession where it states that if cancelled by a certain period of time in advance money is refundable - apparently they aren't aware of contract law. Comes off as a real scam.

This company has ripped me off for my deposit. Sent 3 emails requesting a return as the reception was cancelled with no response !!!!!

Booked them. Even met with Darren to go over everything we wanted. Then 2 months before our wedding he cancelled saying the company had shut down and he was moving to Alberta. Sent us into a frenzy of finding a new DJ last minute. Then come to find out he hadn’t moved and simply changed the name of the company from Hyper Entertainment to Hype Weddings. I would tell anyone to STAY AWAY!!
