Great venue and the kids loved it!
Great experience!
hate the parking at the center
awesome center
Very nice venue ...loved the place except only problem was there was not enough places to buy drinks ... seemed like everything was in one spot when it should have been spread out more over the arena
Loud
Facility is nice, prices for concessions are insane... Make sure you're pre-approved on a loan or have home equity available before going.
Great Centre " enjoyed the game
Good looking venue but that's about it's only good side. Terrible logistics for security/entrance, no parking and low customer service.
The venue is state of the art. Lots of variety for food
Great seats and atmosphere , food and drink way overpriced
Very nice and well setup place. Food and drinks are pricey thou.
Beautiful building!
Parking sucks so bad
(Translated) The exterior is perfect for cultural events and especially dancing. (Original) L'extérieur est parfait pour des événements culturels et surtout la danse.
Very nice arena. Great seating.
Went to the game with the Halifax Mooseheads Fan Club and had a great time as usual. The staff where very friendly and accommodating to everyone on the trip. The only negative thing I have to say is that I bought a hotdogs and when I went to put stuff on it there was no relish anywhere and both the mustard and ketchup had no taste to them as it seemed like they had been watered down with water and came out of the dispenser real thin and runny. Maybe you could look into this and I didn't enjoy the hotdog like the last time I was here. Beautiful place for sure and looking forward to my next visit.
Came for the July Talk Concert. They were amazing!! Not understanding why there are no cup holders in an arena. $10.00 for a glass of beer and no holder to put it in. Not Good for an arena that caters to kids during hockey games. Please fix this!
Great venue loved, the hockey games there, provides a very immersive experience.
Beautiful new spot, lots of staff around
Just went to front door..wasnt open to public...but heard lots of good things
Had an AWESOME time with my family! Soon came up from FL for Thanksgiving and took him to see his first hockey game! Moncton Wildcats won in a shut out game of 9 to 0!!
Great spot that still needs to sort out how to sort out the parking issues. Make sure you come with a plan.
the game was awesome had a great time with tyler my son
Brand new and now open! Soon to host a myriad of concerts and events. Check out upcoming excitement and book early!
No parking, really uncomfortable seats, way overpriced concessions
Meeting place...good one
Great seating!
5/5 once Tim Hortons is open :)
best place ever
This place is awesome. I was here for the Old Dominion concert, and it was awesome.this place would be so fun to watch a hockey game at, and I am definitely coming back. PEI needs an arena like this!
Easy to get around. Clean, but food court is over the moon expensive.
Great events centre but they omitted putting any parking
Helpful staff, great reception.
Nice building to watch hockey games
Great place to have fun with family and friends.
Brand new and Modern Arena and Concert Venue. 8800 Seats. Max. 10000 people capacity for Concerts. Parking: you should park a few blocks away for FREE or close by for $10. Other options are: TAXI of FREE Bus Service, contact Codiac Bus for details.
Very nice facility.
Not 1 bad seat in the house!!!!
Moncton downtown!
over priced for water Dansi brand for $5. ridiculous. seats very uncomfortable for anyone over 5'11". did not respect opening time. was informed doors open at 6:30 didn't open till 6:40, usually not an issue in summer however standing on the street in a middle of snow storm with staff standing inside looking at you. once allowed in not allowed to sit down. as a matter of fact there is NO seating unless you are in the rink part. show was good however a poor venue for this type.
Very organize center. I saw a Hockey Game. I was very happy with my family.
Amazing arena well organized
Beautiful building but super expensive
Great sound, lots of seating.
A first class facility in the heart of Moncton! Spacious and easy to find your way around. Lots of handicapped parking and seating area available. Elevators and escalator. Outdoor public skating rink and warming pit open all winter. Limited parking behind the building.
Amazing facility! Beautiful, and the sound is also great and doesn't echo too much! But why no parking garage beside it? 15-20 minutes walk from the nearest street or public parking downtown is a bit of an inconvenience. Also, businesses around the venue are now forced to have parking attendants ask where you are going, even when you're simply stopping for some groceries. Not very efficient, and seems counter productive when helping the downtown is the goal. Food and drinks are also extremely expensive. Also, no customer service when calling, only Ticketmaster which can rarely pick up the phone. The venue is beautiful, and most employees working there are very helpful. But there needs to be parking.
Fantastic facility. Staff were very helpful.
Saw Jersey Boys here at Avenir Centre. Great Performance. Center has issues with layout for this type of event though; 1) staff cue to turn off and on lighting was 3 minutes out of sync; 2) access to only one set of washrooms on upper level inadequate, should have alllowed access to at least one other set; 3) did not adhere to access to seating or show start times - 20 minutes late for seating and 30 minutes late to show time; and 4) prior to access to seating, did not allow enough space for patrons on secod level which easily could have been overcome by more accessible space not cordoned off (see issue 2). Thankfully, Jersey Boys performance was stellar and made for a most memorable night.
Concert was good, but overpriced everything, can't go out to smoke during intermission and as soon as you walk in beer ....$5 for bottle of water rediculous
Love this place. Average prices (cheap compared to Ontario).
Great game! The Russians put up a good fight but Canada triumphs! Great showing from the boys in the QMJHL. Jacob, Jordan and Olivier were sensational. Although Alex was on the opposing side he was as great as always. Love our Wildcats. ????
Awesome place to go for an event but the prices of snacks and drinks can be a little cheaper.
Entertaining
Pretty fun place for concerts
Big
The Avenir Centre itself is a nice place. We went to the skating oval outside today and it was a great experience. The parking isn't great.. non-existent, really.. but that's a downtown Moncton issue in itself.
Platinum seats.. extra legroom? Where? $4.50 for a 10cent bottle of water. $15 for a sandwich. Whenever I mention this I'm told that this is how it is in all the big cities but... Guess what people... Moncton is NOT a big city.
Although we were using the Ian Fowler Oval and not the true facilities, everything seemed well maintained. The oval was well-lit and the ice surface was clear of small bumps and pits. The only downside to our evening is we didn't know the outdoor music was cancelled because the only notice was posted to Facebook.
Nice facility and staff were good. Ths prices for merchandise were highest of anywhere I have been and this means they are charging performers more then other places to sell the merch and the customer pays it in the end. Before people tear down my thinking I have been to several venues in both Canada and US and most I have paid for a short is 45. My other issue is the prices of beer and water. 5 dollars for a bottle of one dollar water is outrageous. I won't go out of my way to go back to the venue
They should have an outside smoking section
A bit pricey..what do you expect lol
Had a great time , good acoustics . Great venue for Moncton .
Beautiful arena, great atmosphere and an awesome place to watch a hockey game.
Good seats
Great venue for special events like concerts and the Blue Man Group. Brand new and well maintained, good security and staff to help you find your seats, lots of concessions and washrooms that are easy to find
Beer was way overpriced and the food was crazy price as well. Everything just seemed kind of unorganized
Great atmosphere!
Awesome venue, great sightlines throughout. Just an overall great experience
Nice new amazing facility!
Amazing place for a concert! Not a bad seat in the house. Only complaint is the bottleneck trying to exit all at once. Otherwise awesome venue.
Very nice arena, I love how there is skating out side in the winter.
Very nice venue, well laid out, good service, entry was quick and painless. Keep in mind that they don't have free parking at the venue.
Nice place for events
Had a blast at UFC Fight Night 138: Oezdemir vs. Smith
L9ve it
Amazing place. Great job
Amazing center for Moncton to come. Great layout and better seats from the Coliseum. The down part from what I saw tonight. At the opening game of the Wildcats. Was the sound way to loud at times from the opening from the movies clip for the children saying “hello “ . You need to adjust the sound better because you will have allot of people complain about it . Also if you want to make more money on the venu / lower your cost for water bottle from $4.50 each to a normal price. Also beer $10 to $12 way too much . Where not living in Montreal or Toronto and it’s not an NHL team that we’re watching here. If you want the mid class to come support the team more lower your food and beverage to a reasonable prices . Other then the sound/food and drink over price. The new center has a lot of potential to come .
Love this venue! Fantastic facility!
Enjoy going to watch hockey games here. Every seat has a great view.
Nice new building. But still not 100% to hang a show in.
Fantastic venue where you can go to see sporting events and concerts. I would have given the Avenir Center 5 stars but really can't because I find their concession stand prices are not inline with what the people of Moncton expect. You can't bring in outside drinks or food, but they'll sell you Aquafina water for $4.50 - $5.00 a bottle (price varies by event). Beer is about $9.00 a can (500ml). I try to get seats in the Club section as they are padded and have drink holders and you can go use the washroom in the club section which has nicer washrooms and a big area that gives you great views of downtown Moncton. Again, great venue, somewhat decent shows have been in the short year and a half it's been open. They should really work on prices for food/drinks.
Narrow seats with zero legroom to wiggle. Not as cold or as small feeling as the coliseum but not large enough of and upgrade to make it worth it in my eyes. Also 5$ for a water bottle is a little much even just 3.50 could be sceen as mildly reasonable in my eyes.
Good Center
Beautiful centre. The best among the QMJHL
Excellent spot I must say, easy to find your seat, great layout. Hotel just up the street, easy access. Great acoustics for a live band.
It's a very nice place ,but the pricing is high on the food and drinks
The old Coliseum had parking....how did you build this with no parking in mind
We went for a hockey game and it's an unbelievable center but the food is very expensive and the beer is not cheap ether. If one goes there early it doesn't take much time to get in and when everything is over coming out is not bad.
The PA/Music during games is way over the top too loud.
Sure, the concessions may be pricey, but I think the layout of the Avenir is great. There are plenty of bathrooms, easy to understand directions, and it's easy to access from the buses and/or walking from downtown. I've already seen many great shows. I also love the public outdoor space
just watched the game of wildcats and mooseheads here!
Went to a wildcats game and Women's Canada vs USA here. Also, my daughter has played a few games with timbits hockey and a game before the wildcats. I found the Bathroom setup is super easy to find and access. Plenty of options for food and beverages. Very expensive beer, expensive drinks overall. 5$ for a water is pretty terrible. But Tims is reasonable and a very nice facility overall.
Good place for hockey game...
Great concert venue.
A modern venue that will surely attract a variety of well established performances and creative artists. Money well spent Moncton!
I just went tonight “October 6th, 2018”. It was a ok place but smaller then the old Coliseum. I probably won’t be back again, cause couldn’t enjoy the game if having to stand up every 10 minutes, to let people go my, cause so close to the row in front. Not to mention the prices of food & drinks is highway robbery. $5 for a pop and $9 for a poutine and two chunks of cheese is just terrible. I spoke to others there tonight and they said they’ll not be back either. Needless to say, $23:10 for a seat way up to back row next to the rooftop was highway robbery too. $77.00 for a evening out for two people is not my idea of a enjoyable evening for me. So I hope they change a lot of things before the lose everyone before it’s to late. This place is only a 2 stare to me and no more. I wish they was still in the Moncton coliseum. ????
Very nice facilities, easy access and good flow of crowds throughout the venue, prices are excessive 5 dollar Pepsi and 9 dollar popcorn ouch!, parking is available in some locations but are hard to find.
Beautiful place. Nice seating. Great for all shows. Home of the Moncton Wildcats hockey. Also home to Moncton Magic basketball
Saw the 2nd concert in the new Avenir Centre . Chicago was amazing and the building is first rate. Great addition to the region.
The congestion this center has costs the city is obnoxious beyond belief. When the collosium was in operation, Moncton could host large events without disturbing those of us who just need to get to work. I used to hold a gym membership at a near by hotel well I can't even go anymore. These city planners fantasize about people biking and walking everywhere well we live in a snow tundra half the year and most our population is 50+ years old so no it's not practical. Frankly, dragging young children through the downtown area when you need to park a km away isn't great either. It's way overpriced, food and drink will cost you an arm and a leg and all the prices have gone up to reflect the building costs of this city tumor. The median annual wage in this city vs the prices for concerts and tickets here make you seriously question who this center truly serves? Overall the Avenir center is big, shiny and nothing more.... Ways it can improve: -Lower tickets by 25% with the goal of filling more seats rather than being inaccessible to middle class families who frequent such events -Have student, Military/police/EMS and Elderly discounts of 10% -Lower food and drink prices to 15% over costs -Collaborate with local parking facilities to encourage accessibility. - Increase security outside and cross guards to ensure safety of the young and vulnerable. - Create special parking for Elderly, disabled, pregnant, young families and car poolers closer to the building as an incentive for people to travel together. - Create a shuttle service from a larger area: university, collosium, old Costco parking lot as examples. -Donate space to the community on non event days: our taxes paid for it we should have access to it for community events that promote health and wellbeing: Cadets, cubs, sports ect Please consider these for the benefit of the greater Moncton community
$10 drinks.... Save your pennies. Otherwise a nice facility.
No parking, wont let crew watch the show, without us there is no show.
Great venue, food and beverage over priced, otherwise would be a 5 star
New venue. Good sounding concert space. Only problem is cost of beer. It is the same as what you would find watching an NHL game in a big city. Doesn't realy fly in small town NB.
thanks to Dawn Arnold, AKA Bob the builder, we are now in a crippling debt crisis thanks to this 117 million dollar building. i feel like we should have moved this money towards rehab centers for the plethera of meth addicts who cant find help, or really anything else. no one was complaining about the coliseum, why change it?
It was great but the water is alittle pricy but i guess that is to be expected
Went there to see the offspring! A wonderful arena.
Much better facility than the Coliseum, besides the high concession prices. Very easy to get around and lots of room. Only thing missing was the ties to the past Wildcat teams. The Coliseum had team photos, and a mural of players to make it to the NHL. This place the walls were all bare.
Minimal lines and friendly staff.
Great place. Accessable. Lines weren't super long. Parked at mall and took bus to centre
Awesome place to bring the whole family and friends for a good time.
Way to go Moncton! This is a 1st class Facility! We are thoroughly enjoying this new events center in our downtown. The shows are spectacular ! The hockey is awesome! Bravo Moncton!
A great venue!
Very impressive ice surface and stadium seating.
Something off with the acoustics in there.but very nice building washrooms are way to far apart.
Was amazing experience totally nicer then the old one lots of new food only thing I was kinda mad about is no tims but apparently its coming
They made me sit and not move
Hi dad!
Amazing show... but absolutely pricey for any snacks or drinks..
Great place
Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house.
Brilliant venue in the heart of Moncton. Public and private parking lots within easy walking distance. We found a spot for $10 within a five minute walk. The lineup to get in was a bit daunting, but once it got moving, the bag searches were efficient and thorough and we were able to get to our seats in no time. Do not bring any sort of backpack. We saw a few confiscated and it IS clearly listed on their website what to bring and what is prohibited. Excellent sound quality for the rock concert we attended and as far as I can tell, there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The only concern was leaving all at the same time through one exit. I can understand using one entrance, but leaving was a very hot and slow process.
Great ! The Cats lost though ????
DO NOT go there for anything if you think you might have to leave for meds, a breather a puffer, a baby bottle as you are NOt Allowed back in for any reason due to security. What?? Paid my ticket, was relieved of water bottles that they finally lowered the price to $4.50 but don't try to go for a smoke for a 4 hr event. Or meds. And an employee told me on the way out that they aren't allowed a break when working 5 hrs. So the law is if you work over 5 hrs you must be allowed a break. So 1 minute over constitutes a break, but not there. I will never go to an event there ever again. Ever!!
Keith Urban rocked the house
Very nice arena
Awesome facility, brand new and laid out with some thought and convenience with lots of washrooms and concession choice and right on the main drag
No free parking
Great use of tax dollars Dawn!
Nice, clean, lots of seating, would give it a 5 star if it had parking - huge downside
Top notch
Very well designed and beautiful. Only down is there isn't any parking...
I loved the electric atmosphere of the Wildcat game we went to. The acoustics were amazing and I'll be going back. The only downside was that the food and drinks were so very expensive! We stuck with coffee, at least we can count on that price! I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Moncton really outdid themselves! What a place!!
The new center is gorgeous! I loved almost everything about it. A few things need to be adjusted though, but that's to be expected because it's brand new.
Great atmosphere and wonderful workers
Great center. Went to see the wildcats and a sum41/offspring concert. Its great for both types of shows.
Best Junior rink in Canada
Exciting experience with Wildcats!
Friendly staff and we got in and out quickly. No bad seating in the place. Had a great time. Circle De Soleil.
Fantasic place.
Outstanding venue for watching a Moncton Magic basketball game.
Very nice place, seating is laid out so every seat is a great view, concessions and bathrooms are everywhere which was great! It would have a 5 star rating but the price of food and drinks are just way to high, $9.75 for a tall boy of alpine or moose light...this isnt the NHL here, come on! Other than that very nice facility!
Top notch venue.
????????
Magnificent views ???????????? I love it.
Was their for a game between Moncton’s wild cats and Bathurst Titans. It was my first Hockey game and was thrilled. Great facility !
A great new addition to moncton. Some of the acoustics sounded off during the performance but that could be the fault of the song tech and not the Center. Only need is a pedestrian walkway connecting the rear parking lot to the facility.
Amazing facility! Was there for the first ever concert (Keith Urban). Parking (12 minutes from the Centre) was easy to walk, security check & lineups went super fast & flowed quickly for the amount of people entering the Centre. I was pleasantly surprised by that. The sound quality was AMAZING. Great view from anywhere (I had floor seats)...truly looking forward to the next show!
Looks great
Very nice facility and the atmosphere is good. Beer is unbelievably expensive for a QMJHL venue though.
Expensive
I down right despise giving 5 stars, but this arena deserves 5 stars, a group of 10 attended a wild Cats game. One word awesome.
Great venue !!!
Great facility. Parking was quite expensive
I'm very impressed with this venue
Seen Def Leppard tonight. Venue was excellent!!!
Very very nice venue. Spacious , clean and excellent staff
Wicked time!
Nice
Beautiful place but we still lost by 30! Enjoyed the experience.!
Home of the Moncton Wildcats! I’ve been going here since they moved from the Coliseum. The environment seems to be like a church sometimes, as no one is making any noise. This is a hockey rink, make more noise and get the fans excited for the game.
Beautiful new arena would have gave them 5 stars but they dont have much parking.
Nice and new and interactive.. Expensive food, too expensive, no parking, gotta take at least a point or 2 away
Well layed out. Great lighting and happy staff. This building will host great performances and events and memories for all who attend
State of the art. Nice arena
It is a gorgeous arena inside, I went to see a hockey game and it was really impressive. The upstairs has food all around it and although it is quite pricey, similar to movie theater prices, it wasnt bad. It is a nice place that is very well maintained
This is going to be a great venue!
i work for stage crew
Great new events centre!
Okay building, nothing special. Big lineup to get in. Super expensive food and drinks (to be expected). No parking??? One employee selling alcohol was carding people in their 50s. Maybe she thought it was funny. People throwing water bottles in the lobby. Security didn't seem to care. I won't be back.
First time watching a Cats game and it was in the new downtown center. Might have to go again!
State of the art event center
Excellent venue. I haven’t been home to Moncton in 7 years and kind of missed the coliseum; but nice to see Moncton get a new state of the art arena without that giant concrete slab in the upper bowl. Ya; the parking at the coliseum was awesome but all these people upset that the Avenir has no parking.., give me a break. Every major arena in Canada is downtown and you have to find parking. Get over it. Put down your deluxe clams and chips and go for a walk. Beer and water is drastically over priced. I think a tall boy of beer is $9.50. It’s not Madison Square Garden! Good thing is that the lineup for beer is non existent because no one else can afford it. The arena is missing out on profits because the price is too high. The flow of buying tickets, security, etc was pretty smooth. Looks like they have a system in place. Overall... really good venue. Go Cats Go
Very nice facility but parking at facility would be have been nice and concession prices are ridiculous.
It is a beautiful place... very well done. A must see!
Clean bathrooms... friendly staff
It was litttt
New
Nice new building but concessions inadequate and not nearly enough men's washrooms for a large crowd. However seats are good, building is well lit
Saw Jim Gaffigan tonight! Friendly staff, even the nosebleeds are comfortable. Only thing is that food is expensive and if you want to drink? Forget about it! Expensive as hell.
Big city
Great venue for hockey games.
Family friendly. Awesome experience. Went for cirque du soleil
Not a bad seat in the arena.
Nice center but i think they are way over there heads with the the price of the food and alcohol, $4 for a pretzel, $5 for a little apple juice, like come on and security is way to much, cops all over the place and thats on top of the center's own security. This is moncton not new york or Detroit were they have real stadiums.
It's a nice venue. It definitely has potential to be a great venue for all kinds of activities. However, they either have to lower the cost for food and drink, or raise the quality. I've never spent so much on a crappy, dry pretzel in my life! And ten bucks for beer, five bucks for water! Ridiculous! Also be prepared to walk a distance from wherever you can find parking or take the bus, because of course a site that seats 18000 people doesn't need parking.
Nice new and upkept ice surface
Show and production was amazing but the service left a lot to be desired, especially for the cost and convenience. I would rather pay a high cost and be in a comfortable environment where the staff is at least tolerating the event.
Great venue as a spectator. Concessions are overpriced and parking can be tricky.
Awesome!!!!
Security is outside the building. As winter approaches that might be a problem. For $113 million could we not be screened inside?
Tickets MUST be bought through ticket master. Big minus for me. Also security is SLOW and not all doors open. Parking is also an issue. Center was built with no parking. Would not be an issue if you could take the subway or go train but alas, we have neither. Big city venue in small city place.
Opening night Wildcats
There was a hockey game. The Acadie Titan won the Moncton Wildcats 5 to 2.
Food is too expensive
Nice arena and fantastic place for event and concert
Paid extra for floor seating at concert. Waste of money..chairs too close together front and back. Beer and shots $10. Bottled no name water $5.00. Sorry.. I'll take a pass next time
Saw Keith Urban. Awesome!!
Beautiful building. But.. Parking was a disaster. Not enough leg room in seating.
The venue is nice but their relationship with price gouging Ticketmaster needs to end. Their email communications aren’t clear either. I received an email from them saying they were giving me a presale code for a ticket which I tried to redeem, but when it’s time to choose payment method only American Express is available. Turns out it’s an exclusive presale for American Express cardholders but the email never mentioned a thing about it. Then on Boxing Day, they sent me another email offering 25% off for Boxing Day but when I tried to buy tickets it didn’t work. I called Ticketmaster and they said that only so many seats were available at 25% off and that they had all been sold. Once again I go back to the email and nowhere does it say “while supplies last”. I figure when a place has a Boxing Day sale it should be for all of Boxing Day. Strike 2 Avenir...
I thought outside drinks were not allowed in the Avenir Center but that apparently only counts for certain people.
Great arena designed beautifully went to a concert there and it was set up wonderfully. Only downfall is the parking if you want to make sure you have a good spot or a spot at all LEAVE EARLY !!
Nice and modern.
Nice and clean.
First time visiting the Center was for the UFC night and I found out quickly that they do false advertising on their Facebook page. 1st. Their website (Facebook post) stated that fans where allowed to bring cameras as long they are not Professional (DSLR), I even double checked with the FB page via message and they stated the same. After waiting 30-45 min outside in line, I arrive at front where I’m told there is no camera allowed at all. Had to go back to the car to drop it off even if they posted it’s ok to have them. 2nd the concession price are pretty hefty for Moncton ($5 for either a Water, Pop, Juice, Hot Dog), $10 for 1 beer. 3rd since you are not allowed to leave the building for any reason (ex: smoking) so they have made new smoking areas in the building in case you need a cigarette or a joint, they are located in every bathroom of the center. 4th you where allowed to take pictures of the event yet if you had your cell phone up more than 3 seconds someone would harass you. All in all, in my opinion, if the same even comes to Halifax, SJ, or PEI, you are better off making it a weekend away.
The avenir crnter itself is amazing, I would attempt many concert but the parking is a massive issue.
Great place to watch a game or see a concert. As most of these places the concessions are overpriced.
very nice and warm but food and beverage is way to expensive the cheapest is a powerraide that coat 5$
Very nice Can't wait to see an event.
Nice place
As far as venue locations go they a pretty typical but offer a decent experience.
Awesome venue even though a small bottle of Pepsi is over $5 lol
Beautiful Events Center! Cannot wait to see a game here.
Went for UFC fight night. No parking, long line up, and high prices. And you can't leave the building once you're in.
Awesome place
Beautiful arena very comfy seats
Always a great place to go with the kids a tad pricey to be honest but always a great safe place to enjoy family time!
Lots of staff.
Its nice an new . However you get jacked on the price of food. Oh, an the seating is very crampy.
Beautiful but expensive
Large open spaces, lots of places for munchies, beverages, craft brew and more.
Wonderful
Food was great! Service from all the staff was very welcoming! Great job everyone! ????
Always have a good time.
Great place
Lovely facility. Watched a basketball game.
I have, been to a couple of concerts. They are very efficient to get you in safely and there's lots of staff on hand.
Nice place and well designed. Still not great sciatica for bands as there is so much echo. Some of the older staff are abrupt to the point of being down right rude. Such as being told I could not one device to record something, but that I could use my phone all I wanted and when I asked why they didn't have an answer and neither did the supervisor. Food is decent and decently priced considering the venue (Lrg popcorn $5, jumbo hotdog $5)
New and beautifully constructed
Nice facility. Great staff, but it is a money grab. From way overpriced alcoholic drink to $5 bottle of water. Can’t bring in reusable bottle for water and no filing station. Also for smokers you cannot go for a smoke and come back in. Johnny Reid was amazing would definitely go see him again. Just make sure to eat and drink before you go.
Awesome new venue with great events
Nickleback ♡♡♡
Rink is first class. Lovely building. However the idea of not having a parking lot is absurd. We had to walk 800 meters to get to the rink after driving around for 15 minutes looking for parking. I hope the city of Moncton comes up with a solution.
No area to go out and smoke at the recent UFC fights, Once you leave you are not allowed back in.
No obstructed views.
Great arena with great staff.
It's was fun
Nice and new
Only reason i gave this place 4 stars is no arena parking except out back and had to pay ten dollars
Very nice building. Friendly staff.
People have said this is the best event centre east of Montréal and I agree. Located in downtown Moncton, it is the newest addition to a vibrant metropolitan area which also includes the adjacent City of Dieppe.
no parking was my biggest concern and it proved true on my first visit..insane prices for mediocre concessions is next on the list with less then ample leg room to round it off...harbour station is only a stones throw away thankfully...unless the wildcats make the finals again,i wont be back
Cool stadium but the food is priced very expensive, highly recommend not to buy pizza.
I only went into the Wildcat Den but the store was awesome. Go Wildcats!
Awesome venue for concerts and sporting events
Well it's a great venue. Acoustics are very good and the customer service is great. I have a broken ankle and called them to see if they could accommodate me since I had stand up tickets on the floor. They put a fold downe chair next to the boards so I could sit once and a while when my ankle started to hurt.
Not as accessable as a new building should be inside, for the disabled. The elevators aren't big enough to hold scooters. When I went last time, the staff had to bring me down stairs by the freight elevator. I didn't apprieciat feeling like freight. The designer off the building should of thought that not all dosabled people are in small wheelchairs.
Great atmosphere..friendly staff
Side walks were icy walking to the rink was harassed by security and ushers well attending Wildcats game even gave my kids a hard time really sucking the fun out of major junior hockey. Nice building
Awesome place with lots of room and well laid out floor plan. Can't wait to see the first event.
Great Venue
Was much better than the first show I saw there, venue wise. If they keep up the continued improvements, it will be a great venue!
I enjoy watching the Wildcats.
Great new arena. Food and drink prices are way too expensive
Great game. We watched from the Taylor's box. Thanks to Taylor Ford for the invitation!!
I loved that show. But I wish the Wild Cats won that game It was so close 8-7 Almost recorded all of that game but my Camera died.
Great game and facility. Arrived for my first experience and was advised I couldn’t bring in my empty travel mug in. When I advised I didn’t want to bring it to my car and could I leave it at customer service I was told I could leave it on the floor behind the door, I never seen it again. As we went in we somehow lost one of the tear off pieces of our ticket stub. They scanned one ticket and as we looking for the other piece they said ”well which one of you is going in” to which we replied neither and were about to leave when they called a supervisor and he “allowed” us in. Other then that great game but not a great first experience.
Great
Beautiful new arena. Also played the raptor finals run which was great of them.
Great experience at the basketball game! Staff is very pleasent and enjoyed the game. Avenir center has a great setup for getting up close to the action and the hype is going all the time!
Great arena. Comfortable seating. Only complaint is the lack of selection in food vendors.
Let's start with the good, it's a modern arena ..so bathrooms are nice and spacious. Let's go to the rest.. nothing else stood out from the coliseum- so just an update to the colisium would be sufficient. The sound was way too loud with it spiking as if there is a child turning a dial for everything on the speakers. They have speakers scattered so why they need to make it so loud you can't talk to the person beside you is beyond me. They offer ear plugs which just goes to show they know they have sound problems. Not family friendly unless you don't mind your kids going deaf. Also there was so many ads.. so many.
First home game of the preseason #onegoal #feelthemagic
Very nice facility! Very clean, and very new!
Not a bad seat in the place. Great food and beverages. Fair prices. Entrance is inefficient so get there earlier. Great ticket prices through Ticketmaster.
Great arena. Awesome atmosphere.
Awesome place
Not a great venue for musical shows. Also the concessions are too expensive.
Good facility but I wish their prices for food and drinks are more reasonable.
Awesome!!!! UFC!
Beautifule place but expensive for a bottle of water!!
Very expensive inside
Love the new arena! The sound is so good and the leg room is awesome. There is no "bad" seats like the Coliseum! Nice job
Beautiful architecture and great outdoor stage. Great hockey rinks and concert venue!
Great place to watch hockey
Great show
My first impression was great.
Great central location, can be tough to get out after an event but a beautiful building
Bright and shiny new.
We really enjoyed the Wildcats game, and loved the Avenir Centre, however we were disappointed in the prices for beverages and refreshments at this venue. We will not be back again anytime in the near future.
Good call concert but wheel chair users pay double able body folks - makes no sense
Love going to see the Moncton Magic games
Stunning place! Definitely recommend
Great venue for hockey
The temperature is quite cool inside. You will wish you had your big coat. My daughter wears a fur coat when attending Wildcat games and still finds it cool.
Great facility, awsome place to take out the family for a hockey game or even a basketball game
Amazing place to have shows
Fantastic building.
Beautiful new arena, close to everything!
Its sad to see the harassment of Patrons for not wearing masks when they have no idea why the person can not wear a mask. When asked staff say that they are told no mask you can't stay no matter the reason.
Enjoyed the shows
For hockey games, this is a tremendous venue in a great location, and has everything you'd want to see in a modern arena. Lots of leg room, good views from any seat, high-tech scoreboard. On the down side, food/drink prices are a bit high, and the fans in general seem oblivious or apathetic to what's happening on the ice, although this seems to be the case throughout Atlantic Canada. A livelier crowd would make this a 5-star experience in a heartbeat.
Awesome set up. Seats a little cramped
Security like an airport. Canteen prices are high but you can't even take in a bottle of water. There it is $5!
A beautiful facility, but 10 bucks a beer? Really?
Sound is horrible for concerts and ticket master makes prices waaaaay too high
The place is not bad....it's the drink and food prices!!! Ridiculous really....we are little Moncton here....I can get cheaper food and drinks @ Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Mass with 70,000 seat stadium then this place. CITY of Moncton really need to change these prices!! $4.50 For a bottle of water?!?!
Wonderful show and venue
Beautiful well designed
Meh
To expencive
NYE at the Wildcats game! Can't complain about free facepainting, bouncy castles, and balloon animals with great hockey. Minus one star for concession prices (not unreasonable for the venue, just more expensive than the coliseum used to be).
Way to much unnecessary security and cops for a center. Plus having to wait outside and does not matter season tickets or not. Middle of winter waiting outside will not be fun at all!
Go cats go.
Awesome rink to watch hockey. Seats down by the bench wert too close to follow the game in detail. Spoke to staff between periods regarding a move; they were most helpful and found a seat in same section with a much better view!
It's like NHL Arena atmosphere
Overpriced. One long advertisement. small and crowded over the top security unrealistic demands. Absolutely nothing for parking poor design and did I mention over priced 10 dollar 8 oz beers 10 bucks for parking 10 dollar popcorn. The tickets them selves. This is just one big money grab.
Beautiful facility
Great facility but no parking
Very nice centre.
The seating is amazing, no matter where you sit the game will be enjoyed! Luckily i live by Jones Lake off of Main st so parking wasn't a issue; i could over hear people complaining about the walk but thats uncontrollable, not everyone is as aware of the downtown parking as others. The more games/events people attend the better they will learn the parking arrangements and convenience of some places. Only down side from me is the price of a beer, 9.75 for a tall boy beer is kinda ridiculous. 5.50 for a small can was okay and didnt promote binge drinking, by buying a bigger can you are more then likely to drink it cause of the price. Bang for your buck!
Awesome concerts here
Place was great parking not so much..
Really nice but the hallways are s little stark.
Beautiful place to see a show ie Cirque du soleil. Then entrance was great no waiting to go inside and outsite much. But when playing hockey, the room are so small we can only fit about half of the team comfortably, after that it will be tight. I love this arena and event center. This has made our downtown better.
Good looking building, walking around was a bit confusing at first, all the concessions look the same as the walls and the floors is the same color (pretty blah). Speaker and bass are REALLY LOUD which is probably great for concerts, but is almost too loud for a hockey game. Seats have no cup holders (I don't know why). Room for improvement for sure, the finish touches of the building looked rushed. 5$ FOR A HOTDOG!! Not even fries! food and drink are way too expensive for me. My time there will be limited since I can't afford those prices too often. PS: bring back Mr. Bourque for the national anthem!
First time in the Avenir centre... Horrible.... Once you are in you can't leave... Not good for someone with anxiety! I will not be back!
So much nicer than the old colosseum
Food at venues are WAY overpriced and most is not even edible....3 times so far. Poutine and chip fries drenched in grease. Polish sausage half raw....that's a good $30 wasted. Might be staying home more often. It's getting ridiculous.
Tight seating.
Moncton Magic was awesome. Avenir Center is new but just another over priced at the concessions, no great parking facility. The volunteers made it a great thing.
Good atmosphere. Clean and spacious.
very nice arena
Beautiful spot well built
New building is great
It was awesome...quick entrance and quick exit!!!Sound system is awesome!!!
New center looks great good view frendly staff
Nice new building and seating is nice. Was there for a concert over the weekend and I get it was a special event, but $10 for a beer is a bit ridiculous. I didn't even pay that much for a drink at the Saddledome in Calgary when I saw The Hip on their final tour. And then no cupholders to hold my $10 drink?? Super lame and very disappointing.
Waist of taxpayers money, should have let irving build his own dam arena.
Great game!nice facility!prices for concession stands are ridiculous.!!!
Not being able to leave and re-enter and my 5 dollar water having to be poured in to a paper cup with a paper straw was foolish
Loved the centre itself, but the prices are outrageous.
Seen blue man group was awsome concert drinks are too expensive
Beautiful facility. Premium entertainment, including sporting events and concerts. Seating for 8500++.
Beauty spot very convenient access to it and ammenities!
Nickelback concert
Amazing facility. Went there for the Chicago concert. Very impressed with everything. Entrance was orderly and quick. Staff were great. Concessions were delish. Beer and water are a bit pricey though. Great experience overall, will return often.
Beautiful centre. Nice to see games here. Drinks and food are ridiculously priced. They could make a profit selling food at half the price being charged.
Great arena to watch a hockey game !
The Oval is the highlight of my winters ever since I moved to Moncton. It is very well kept together, and there is a good amount of parking. It’s also a good place to skate with the family since other skaters are respectful of other’s skills.
Tried to drop off 90 year old friend to Wildcats game in front of center. Wide open space no cars or people. 2 workers run over foaming at the mouth screaming and banging on my windows we cannot drop off here for disabled only. I tell them he is 90 years old they ask if he is disabled and my friend says no I'm not disabled out of pride and they scream that we have to drop him off up past crown plaza on highfield. My 90 year old friend with walker who can barely walk from house to the car had to walk down from up highfield street. Why are they doing this to our seniors?!?
Brand new building, really nice. Don't see myself going there to often, it's on the expensive side.
Very Nice place. Setup seems great. Watching the hockey thru "glass" isnt very clear wouldn't recommend any low bowl seats.
Mixed reviews...
Beautiful facility, but concession prices are rather high.
great concert!
Great place. New building.
So far have gone to see Basketball and Hockey. Very nice venue for both sports
Very big venue. The seats were tightly close together but it's still great.
Love it nice place but no parking it doesn't make sense
Great venue, comfortable, lots of vendors. Only issue cant hear what is going on , on the ice.
Just went to see John Mellencamp. Avenir Centre was very nice.
I had a wonderful time it was amazing ice skating
Outstanding place. At 48 with young boys it's impressive that they have their, next generation facility for shows, concerts and hockey entertainment. Great investment. A real plus for our city!
They go above and beyond with service
Great experience.
Beautiful building! Temperatures near ice where ridiculously hot. Once u enter building you can not leave building and get back in there for trapped inside for full time of event. If this was posted at entry I would not have paid and entered. Will not be back as long as no re entry policy is in effect.
Beautiful venue. Modern and well layed out. Flow to go in and out was very smooth.
The structure and venue itself is amazing and they have done really well with the new building. The only downfall to it is insane drink and snacks prices.. like sell your first born to get a few beers.. overall the sound and seating is very good! We went to jerry Seinfeld there and it couldn't of been better besides the crazy food and drink prices.! Great place for any event.
Poor parking and drink to exspensive
Nice modern venue
Great venue.
They wouldn't let you leave to have a smoke. I was upset and I don't even smoke.
Brand new facility. Everything is good. I wish it has parking space though.
Very little parking around venue and long line ups outside to get in.
Is fun with the family and kids too..
Nice new building
Very nice facility. Sadly watching hockey game is like listening to TV on mute no gnarling of skates. No slapping of sticks or thump of a body check. Good site lines & large seats & legroom. Concessions expensive $5 soft drinks/water, hot dogs, $10 Donair, $15 pulled pork sandwich. Gift shop expensive ball hats $20 - $60, sweaters up to $100. Security to enter good but could be a pain in cold winter as this outside of building.
Beautiful place cant give it a 5 cause i haven't seen all of it.
Very clean and modern arena, helpful staff, great acoustics, easy to find washrooms and drinks/food.
Very nice place but expensive inside
The Avenir Events Centre is beautiful, modern and spacious. There are really no bad seats. The price of food and drinks is expensive but its compatable to other event centers. The only negative is there is only only one security check so there is a ling line to get in. Would move much faster if there multiple places to enter through security.
(Translated) Very nice place, super big, nice atmosphere for shows and hockey games. This place will bring a lot to the city of Moncton and the surrounding area. Very beautiful modern center. (Original) Très bel endroit, super grand, belle atmosphère pour les spectacles et les parties de hockey. Cet endroit va apporter beaucoup pour la ville de Moncton et les environs. Très très beau centre moderne.
Nice, but expensive. Game ticket plus food and drink will cost you over 50.00 every time. 5.00 for a bottle of pop is insane. Especially when a case of 24 bottles costs around 15.00 at sysco or any whole seller. Plus pay parking now, unlike the Coliseum. But I guess we have to pay for the new avenir center somehow
Went to use outside ice very nice but should have been larger
Nice place
Good environment
Great event venue, but expensive concessions.
Great views from just about any seat in the place.
Went for a concert.... the lineup was huge but it progressed quickly. Facility is very clean and modern.
No parking, and long, long line-up outside with no shelter from the elements. That is only if you are NOT a season ticket holder. They have THEIR entrance, with no wait.???? Not really an option if you're from out of town. Thank goodness, it wasn't raining or that the temperature wasn't in the minus.
Beautiful new arena, comfortable seating, large TV screens, wonderful
First time there... To see Blue Man group.... Great show.... Only complaint is that if you went to the bathroom they would not let you go back to your seat for like 15 minutes!? :/
Cool place
Super venue!
Great new arena for the Moncton region.
What a great facility. Well designed and in the downtown corridor. Well done moncton!
Some Staff was rude and you can't get back in if you have to go outside...
Beyond expectations. A superb state of the art venue. Bravo Moncton
Horrible box office service. Had to freeze for over 45 minutes. Then I was treated like a criminal when I didn't want to take my hands out of my pockets for the useless security guard.( who could barely speak English) The seats a extremely uncomfortable. NO parking!!! None! What in the world was the city thinking?
Need more parking
The food isn't great. Pricey for cold, barely cooked hamburgers. The chips that come with the meal are often soggy. After the last hockey game I will skip eating at the game.
No parking. No cup holders in seats.
Nice new rink seats are large. Drinks are expensive. Parking is not good.
This facility is gorgeous, being newly constructed and designed. It is relatively easy to access, with hopefully more clarity of parking and access as construction around the site is finalized. Concessions are a bit pricey for the City of Moncton, and for this reason it can do more to incite families to come for sporting and other events. More vendors with competitive pricing are required. Generally a nice offering of events.
My first hokey game and I'm now addicted to the gym and the game
Great new place for a hockey game which is what I attended. Much better than the old coliseum, great food options and awesome views. Missing one star for two reasons, could not find a garbage can for the life of me and there is no way to get out of the building and come back in. There needs to be a section where people can get out and go through security again if needs be and definitely add garbage cans, it will help keep the place clean instead of leaving everything under the seats
It is ridiculous the way ticketing is setup when you have free student tickets. The wait is unreal. You miss half to a full period for the wait time to get a ticket. They have to find a better solution for all customers. Also prices for food are way to high. But Avenir center is a great place, very nice.
Nice building but game tickets are way overpriced
We went to the Francis Cabrel concert. I bought tickets online. I was asked to select a section of the auditorium, not a specific seat. When we got our tickets, they were near the back of that section. When we got there, we realized there were 6 rows ahead of us where most of the seats were empty. I suspect that there are different companies selling certain blocks of seats. A friend of mine had better luck at the box office. We could not see the stage well enough. We certainly saw a man singing, but we were too far to distinguish any facial features. I would expect a screen when seated that far back. Other than that, the venue was nice. There was lots of space and plenty of washrooms. The seats were comfortable and the attendants were very polite and helpful. The sound was excellent.
My first Hockey game at the Avenir was nice we stayed in a lounge the view was excellent
Watched circle du Soleil and it was awesome. Way better than the blue man group.
A great arena with a winning team. Beer and wine prices were over the top.
I went to the Avenir Centre in Moncton for the first time yesterday to see the Thank You Canada Tour Skate show. The show itself was marvelous, but the Avenir Centre has a lot of problems. I have been to large arenas all over the world (O2 in London, Madison Square Garden, Maple Leaf Garden, Rogers Centre, Giant Stadium, etc, etc.....including Harbour Station in Saint John, NB), and have never, EVER, had to stand outside with tickets in hand for any reason. We stood in line outside yesterday for almost 40 minutes in the freezing temperatures and wind, so that thousands of people could be bottle-necked through a small entrance and be cursorily scanned and cursorily searched. There is no other way to say it, it was ridiculous. The arena itself is nice, like most new arenas. But again, on the way out, thousands of people took close to 30 minutes to get out through the bottle neck. It is beyond understanding why there are not more entrances and exits, and, a larger lobby area where people can be inside while waiting to be admitted. Parking is a problem, but it is the least of their problems. There are serious design flaws when it comes to people-movement. It will have to be a very special event for me to go back there. Harbour Station....I really appreciate you! D. Doran
The facility is ckean and easy to get around in.
I wasn't impressed that I tried 14 doors before I got to the right entrance to get tickets on a bitterly cold day.
Parking still sucks
Great seating no matter where you sit. Only down fall is it costs 5 bucks for a bottle of water.
Went to see Blue man group. The show itself was great. The washrooms were a mess. The toilet sprayed water when flushed and the floors were dirty
The staff was so loud during the Rock the Tour event that I could hardly hear the music! Not impressed AT ALL!
Fantastic arena. Modern amenities. Beautifully built and centrally located. SO MUCH PARKING!!
The only thing I wish was different is the lineups to get into the building.
That's a very nice venue. Almost a year old.
Way over priced!!! Almost need a bank loan for a night out. Can't see myself spend anymore time here. Made it through 1 period of hockey went to find a snack and decided to leave after looking at the prices.
The facility itself is nice. It does, however, have a fair few issues. First of all is the lack of parking. Secondly, the fact that they feel the need to scan every single person as they enter is a bit overkill. The seats often feel to cramped. And of course, the prices for concessions are absurd. On the plus side, it is very easy to move around the building, even with large crowds.
Great facility. Needs more pics of moncton and Wildcats on the walls.
Swift service response
Great place
Nice venue. They still struggle greatly to get people frisked and into the building. This is a real challenge for them.
Nice place
Beautiful spot, fit for an AHL team
For everyone
$5 for a bottle of water!!!!!!
Great arena. Parking can be a problem
This is the event center it.s beautifull wow
Love this place
It's a parking nightmare! Great building but someone missed the boat ehrn it comes to parking
This is a nice facility, It would get more stars but parking sucks.
Beautiful new venue
It was my first visit and very impressed with the new building, the only thing I didn't like was the ridiculous prices at the concession stands. If you go there as a family it can be very expensive as children always want a treat. I know I will not pay those prices.
I attended my first hockey game of the season on Sunday and would have enjoyed the game better if the loudspeakers hadn't been so loud. I did find one ear plug in my purse to protect one ear. I couldn't even carry on a conversation with my husband without having to shout over the noise. Why do they have to have it so loud there? It wasn't like that at the coliseum. I will take the coliseum any day where the parking was free, the food wasn't as costly and the noise level was just fine. I noticed one couple there with a baby and they had a pair of small earphones on the baby to protect his hearing. Is Avenir trying to get more customers from the too-loud noise level?
Saw the Thank You Canada Tour. Awesome. What great talents and very entertaining.
If you smoke DO NOT watch a game here. They WILL NOT even left you comeback in after leaving for a smoke.
Love the new center!!!
Great staff and game!!
Great game between the best female hockey players in the world. Avenir Center has comfortable seating and is a great facility for our city. Parked for free a block away for a 5 minute walk, piece of cake! Love our new center.
Go chats go
Very nice place but food and drink are way to expencive
Place is fantastic but if you want to eat bring your bank card your going to need it
Very very slow service. On the flip side, very friendly. Still kinks to work out I'm sure.
Great concert set up. Alcohol prices are ridiculously high. Bring a flask lol
Beautiful place. I love it.
New Arena is gorgeous! Lack of parking and organization at the entrance lost them a star but really have enjoyed checking out the Wildcats!
Was a great event
It's a circle with seats and expensive fries.
Great place to watch a game.
No Tim Hortons and prices are too high
Hockey Game! Was good fun
Very poor flow of people narrow stairs hope there is never a need for rapid evacuation
Safe and agreeable
$10 for 2 bottles of water and the fact that I paid for tickets for something and can't go have a smoke if i want. Don't agree with that at all, discrimination in my books.
Sold our minor hockey team concert seats that don’t exist at the Wildcats game! So we waited around for 30 minutes while they got us seats in the 2nd last row instead of the third row! Not the best upgrade.... ???????? It is a nice rink though.
awesome opening very enjoyable
If the line up issues aren't fixed then I'll pass on future events. No one likes waiting on the cold in rediculus lines.
Great game ...first one 4 me this season ...boys night out lol
Seating area and venue were great! But... unfortunately they missed the boat big time in other areas. Never have I seen lineups for men's washrooms like this place. Soap ran out and paper towel too. This is a sporting center primarily. Did you forget your demographic study? $10 for an Alpine and Moose light. Give me a break. Get some selection if you're going to charge premium prices. Let's have the services match the venue. We can do better.
Very good venu, definitely an improvement over the coliseum and absolutely no issues, apart from the weather, getting out of the parking and heading home after the UFC event. Only issue I have is with the food quality/quantity : for 5$ each, the quantity of fries I got was sad and the pretzel my wife got, for the same price, almost tasted like Wonder bread pressed in a form of a pretzel. I don't mind paying more for food at such a venue, just hope the quality improves.
(Translated) Nice arena but no parking (Original) Belle arena mais pas de parking
Parking wasnt an issue as we left early, but with beer at $10.00 each I can't see myself attending too many events here. Snickers bars are $4.00 as well. Wouldn't dare inquire on the cost of a poutine! But, overall a clean place with plenty of washrooms & doors in + out. Well done on the city's part, just bring prices to a realistic level.
First time here attending PBR. loved the venue. All seats great.
Nice place
Very nice venue. Nickelback rocked!
They have no idea how to handle a crowd. Horrible first experience.
Great place and show was wonderful!
What a waste of money. I was totally discusted with the place. City of Moncton made a big mistake when they built this edifice.
Parking was close if you don't mind parking where you shouldn't. Ice surface was 7/10, a little rough, with a few bad places. It was a warm day, after a wet snowfall. It is a great place to skate for an hour or so in the middle of the city. It is well decorated around the new center , and had places to lace up just off the surface of the ice. We will be back.
This event center is first rate. I have now been here for hockey games(Wildcats), concerts and now a Cirque du Soleil performance (Crystal) and I have always been impressed by the Avenir Center. World class is how I categorize it. Staff are friendly, seats are comfortable and there is space to get around. For people with mobility issues this place is totally accessible and plenty of handicap parking.
Cold!
Wow all I can say is wow
Food is way too expensive. $6.00 for popcorn is ridiculous.
beautiful building, but concessions are extremely over priced 4.50$ for a bottle of water. ( really)
Nice and clean seats are to close together
Love the assinine prices. Last night I was able to get from my seat to the concession stand buy and pay the $5.00 for a 591ml Pepsi and was sitting in my seat having a drink 3 minutes later. Funny part ..that was half way through the 1st intermission. I was sitting 7th row had some stairs to get up and down. Absolutely no line up. Lets keep it that way and boycott concessions enmasse.Who wants to pay 12 bucks for a crappy supposedly Philly cheesesteak. (Philadelphians would be mortified) oh ya I got about 15 cold homemade potato chips called house chips. The 2 stars are strictly for the building itself. Should have 5 but the rest of the screwups cost Avenir Center 3 stars.
AWESOME PLACE!!
Had a great time in am a visitor from Toronto and looking forward to the next time i can visit ????????
Excellent place
New, outstanding design, great view in every seat.
Nice new center
Mixed Feelings. The center itself was very nice, good to finally have an up-to-date venue for sports and concerts. The bad part was the sound quality of the concert. Was a great show that would have been better if the sound was better.
Fresh and new great venue.....paying for it though with the prices of jerseys and beers, remortgage before you go!
Did not like the long walk one way that place is wide enough to have arrows on both sides with the 6 foot rule which nobody obeys especially in the Washroom
Very nice mall,.weird layout
We bought seasons tickets. I warned my husband about parking and he said he would deal with it. Now that he’s gone once, we’d like to try and sell them. The food and drinks are far overpriced. There are no cup holders, which is huge when you have kids. Lastly, we can’t accommodate by bringing in our own food because we’re not allowed. The city might be trying to make money, but I bet in a few years it will be shut down!
Awesome place great seating can see all the arena from any seat, went to see Nickleback there, great concert
Every seat is a good seat.
No parking u need to pay 10 $ to use one !
The new Avenir Center is awesome!
Nice building but parking sisuation sucks. Not enough parking. Seems like a poor location to choose for the amount of parking required.
Great facility, parking needs attention
Beautiful new modern state of the art building. UFC. Seinfeld. Keith Urban upcoming shows.
Food and drinks are a bit pricey but other then that great experience.
The elevator
Lovely location, but MAJOR price gouging for concessions. $4.50 for one bottle of water?!? After I pay $10 for parking and the cost of tickets, the least you could do is not finish off my bank account for buying water. Toronto prices don't work well with Maritime wages.
Helpful staff, really nice layout. Easy to find seating. Prices are a little much,
Seats are much to close and while attending The Jersey Boys ,mostly seniors in attendance, the lights for seating was NOT on. People were using their cell phones to help others get to their seating. Thus has to be a safety issue.
Decent building, good venue, prices for drinks are crazy. 10$ a beer?! This isn't an NHL arena.
Crowd was super quiet but rink was spectacular. Good job Moncton on a top notch facility
Great attraction for the downtown core
Nice place and awesome game opener
Pretzel was horrible. Take it off the menu.
Nice place
Worst experience ever. After walking 2 miles carrying a bag with snacks and drinks for my kids to the centre, I'm told at the gates no food or drinks allowed in the building because the good ol' city of moncton wants families who used to enjoy a cheaper experience at the coliseum now have to spend a small fortune to enjoy a drink or a snack while they watch the hockey game. Shame on you city of moncton.
It was a fantastic show Thank you tour Canada The center is beautiful Thanks to all the people responsible for the building of this great center Special thanks to our past Mayor George LeBlanc who was instrumental in this fantastic event Center
7$ for this..... more chips then sauce. And that's asking for extra. I can go buy a jar of salsa and chips for this price. Other then that it was pretty good.
Great hockey game
