There aren't many farms around with this level of love and dedication. Many of the animals have been rescued and are thriving at Serenity Rising for the soul purpose of bringing joy to the herd, visitors and owners. They now have the opportunity to become healthy and enjoy life out in a wide open grassland. Previous lives of some of these animals was so brutal the abuse would have eventually killed them. At Serenity Rising they are healing and learning to love and be loved. The transformation alone takes a long time and patience but eventually you can see the true character, personality and now freedom given. This takes a complete lack of selfishness and a severe amount of devotion. How many farmers would sleep with a full grown pig for three nights to make sure her piglets could survive? If you haven't spent time out here I highly recommend it. Take some time and visit these animals and you'll see a different personality in each one. You'll see the peace and fire of freedom in everyone. Talk to the owner and feel the devotion put in place that pulls out hope for the future. A future for so many animals and we're given an opportunity to share in this success. Serenity Rising encourages people to be part of it and be educated in all aspect of farm animals. If you spend time out here you'll be overwhelmed and left with a longing to be back to do more. A true serenity most people haven't experienced before and a real serenity for each animal brought into this haven.

Such a beautiful place to bring the family and enjoy some wonderful animals! Our little guy was followed around by Vasey the pig, while we explored the farm and its animals. Llamas, cows, chickens, goats and more. Looking forward to the winter time to do it again!

Visited on July 6th and had a great time! My wife and i took 3 kids and the son was a great tour guide. We'd like to leave our 6 year old there for a week to get him more comfortable with animals if at all possible! Great visit and I absolutely love Silverado the gentle giant!

Lovely animals. Very well kept! The farm exhibits a high level of selflessness as the owner devotes herself to their care. Often sleeping outdoors with an injured animal or delivering mother to ensure safety and recovery. At other times, animals are brought into the home for care. If animals are let loose outside, they follow the owner around like the shepherdess she is. Even the cats gather round when she is near. Not only animals but visitors are also made very welcome. Their needs are met as they seek an escape from crazy hectic lives. Visits are therapeutic for children and adults alike as they interact with a variety of animals, big and small, often receiving kisses and nuzzles as they feed and pet.
