A long overdue review worth sharing. Kinda frustrating how there is only 5 stars when you want to leave 6 LOL. I have been in this little family run business a few times. Always greeted with friendly staff. The experience each time was educational... along with a few samples the first time to take home. Highly recommend this place. - Dan Microdyne Computers.

Super cool place with very unique products & recipes. Their products are quite expensive by volume (hence the removal of 1 star), but their product quality is top notch. Classy place, neat atmosphere, great products. Will definitely shop here more often.

The Olive Tap is absolutely amazing. So many different flavours, endless possibilities for yummy healthy cooking, and super high quality. Carmen is so friendly and knowledgeable, she will definitely have you coming back again and again!!!

This is an interesting specialty store of olive oils and vinegars. I was welcomed at the door and given a tour that included taste tests of oil vinegar mixtures. They do this for every first timer as long as it isn't too busy. They have a chef, but I haven't tried the food yet. It's a really neat atmosphere there.

My first time here and it was delicious! Maybe the best borscht I've ever had with a piece of focaccia bread that was unreal fresh and tasty. I'll definitely be back!!

A couple friends and I came here for lunch. While I had been before when friends were getting refills, I hadn't really had a chance to take it all in. We ordered our meals then went about sampling a few of the oils and balsamic vinegars. It was very enlightening. Our food didn't take overly long, but wasn't quick either, about what you'd expect when it's all prepared fresh. The price was very reasonable and I'm glad to see they use local ingredients. I will definitely return.

And don't miss this shop. I've sampled olive oils from all over the world and The Hat's Olive Tap has the best selection in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. Try a sample and engage your taste buds.

Service was nice and very polite. Our lunches were not the best. My Brazilian stew was basically a pile mush, peppers and huge chunks of onions. His was very dry. The waitress was very kind and asked how the first few bites were.... ì unfourtunetly was trying not to gag at the time so I didn't get to correct the issue.

This is a real gem for anyone looking to find high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Their inventory of infused oils is second to none, and is combined with a large selection of balsamics. Selection of straight extra virgin was limited at the time of our visit, but they were expecting a large delivery the next day. Staff is very knowledgeable and able to assist with making a choice. Location is easy to get to in downtown Medicine Hat. Highly recommend a visit.
