This is a pretty nice venue though a lot of it feels kind of empty... Like bare corners and walls that could use either some decoration, more relaxed seating areas, or something. The front row balcony seats are kind of terrifying, because when you stand up to get to/from your seat, the guard rail glass is only about mid-thigh height. Feels like you could easily fall to your death if you lose your balance. I wasn't the only one who felt this way, almost all of us in the front row were wondering if it is up to safety code...

Very nice arena for a town of this size. Went to see a Tigers game with the family, our first, and everyone loved it. No bathroom lineups with access everywhere. Stairs aren’t as steep as most arenas which is great for kids and there is plenty of room in the seat. Great food selection and everything is reasonably priced, including alcohol. Got some great seats for a family pass. The parking is a little bit of a gong show and getting out at the end took longer than an oilers game but it seems the locals know all the secrets to getting out quicker.

Nice new facility. Not the greatest selection of food stuffs and there is no store for Tigers merchandise. But the place is clean and even with a pretty full crowd it didn't feel crowded. Have not been for anything but one hockey game but imagine it would be a good venue for concerts. Every seat is a good one!

This is a great facility in Medicine Hat. Watched the blue man group and the set up was first rate. Lots of parking, good layout. Big bathrooms. This would be an excellent place for any event. The city really deserved this. Top notch staff and service. Very clean and we'll kept.

A beautiful facility. I didn’t have the opportunity to see a game or show, but I cannot wait until I do. Tickets and passes are reasonably priced, and there’s variation in price, so families on any budget could attend. All seats in all sections have great views. There are tons and tons of food/drink/merch options, and lots of bathrooms that are quickly and easily accessible. I met a few of the staff members, and it’s clear they all take pride in the work that they do.

I was a fan of the opposing team and still had a good time. Seats are surprisingly not bad for being plastic with no cushion. Bathrooms get busy during intermissions. Dont hold it lol. Food is standard burgers and fries. Actually decent prices. Not a drinker so I couldnt tell how to rate the beer.

Beautiful arena, terrible almost everything else. The concessions are a joke. Two cashiers going off shift and cashing out during the intermission!!! Cashiers making food and handling cashier duties at the same time (with no gloves) makes the lineups ridiculously long. 23 minutes from the time we placed out order for 2 hot dogs until the time we were informed they were still cooking and would we like something else. Yes, a refund, which took twice as long because nobody could find a supervisor. Management needs to get their act together in a hurry. Ruined an otherwise great game night.

The new rink is very NICE and great to watch the tigers play with th the family. It has brought in a lot of top quality shows and preformances which medicine hat has been greatly lacking in. The seating is pretty standard but can have a good view from any area. The food vendors are good and there is a great variety. The pickle ceasers are a must have.

Great new facility for hockey. Terrible set up of parking lots with almost vacant preferred lot. Doors face west right into the prevailing winds both winter and summer. What architect and planning committee let this happen? They have curtains above the seating entry to block the draft. Still it was very chilly in this section.

New home of the Medicine Hat Tigers. Wide walkway around top of arena makes getting around easier when crowded. Good acoustics to hear the announcements and energetic rocking hockey fans. Enjoyed the game.

Need to upgrade sound system, no bass to amp the atmosphere during hockey's games and tough to hear the arena announcer, also get some upgraded spot lights or laser lights for beginning of games. Instead of the 1950 spot lights.

Food is pricey...4 dollars for a hard slice of pizza...4 dollars for a palm sized pretzel and 3.50 for a pop that is half filled with ice. If you get floor seating when everyone stands up you cant see jack its even more pointless to take any children cause they wont be able to enjoy the show the aisle is crowded with people and they cant stand on the seat. The only saving grace is I like seeing Canadian bands and the staff was super friendly. I have gone to this place 4 times already and each time i have not enjoyed it for the price of everything and the seating arrangements suck. I have been to a hockey game.5Fdp.cars and guitars and city and colour... half of these shows on the floor half in the stands...doesnt matter not worth it either way

Worst experience. Bought 7 tickets for a hockey game. Showed up early as usual, swnt my 3 kids iff to go grab a bite to eat before the game started. We had half an hour so it should have been lots of time. Not only did they not have their food before puck drop, they missed the entire first period as well. When I went and asked to speak to a manger or supervisor I was met with a snotty teenage girl telling me there was no manager and orders are filled when they get to them. Nothing but attitude and rudeness, to the point where one of the cooks came out and apologized for the time it took for the food and that they are aware of this one girls attitude and it's nit the first complaint they have had. You would think with the labour market the way it is the Canalta Centre could be a little more choosey about whom they hire. It will be a very long time before we go back.

They need to up their security for events. They asked if they had consent to search/pat us down (wut?)... didn't search hats and a fair amount of other red flags considering the amount of people in the venue. No metal detectors either. Other than a security risk, they also couldn't seem to organize or figure out what to do. Doors were to open for VIP 20 minutes before they did, and then there wasn't exactly clear instructions on where to go to gain access to the floor level. The bands were awesome - but the venue needs to up their game in a world with increasing issues.

I've been to the Canalta Centre a few times now. I really don't like their parking lot. It makes no sense at all. It should be numbered or lettered and their needs to be some traffic lights at the exit there as when events empty out it becomes super dangerous to try and leave with the herd so to speak. More exits to the roads might take some of the pressure off in this area of Canalta. Inside, there are good food vendors but I would like to see more emphasis on chips, hot dogs and things like that inside of beer and more beer. There should also be brochures with schedules of what is upcoming as you come into the venue so if you want to come to hockey games or special shows you know what is coming. I know you can go online but not everyone has a computer even in these days! Otherwise, my experiences with staff and the venue have been super positive. The only thing I really don't like is the no leaving the venue seating area during events. When you are a senior, you cannot control your bladder at all. Some understanding needs to be made for seniors. Give us a price break too please.

I don't care how good the parking is, I miss the old barn. Isolated and lonely, not in the City at all, weird seating configuration (lower bowl is fine, but most upper bowl seats are behind the nets.) I can't see myself making another trip to the Hat for a game for a while now. Used to be like a pilgrimage.
