We used Maeck Weddings for their officiating and "day of" coordination services. They were incredible to work with! During the time leading up to our wedding day Jeff and Michelle were so organized, flexible, approachable, understanding and warm. I always felt comfortable emailing them with a question - regardless of how silly I thought it was. They always replied quickly and provided clear and helpful feedback. Michelle and Jeff's processes leading up to the big day was seamless, incredibly organized, and detail focused. The documentation that Jeff asked us to fill out online prior to our ceremony was easy to follow and also hilarious - he's a really funny guy and made the process really enjoyable (amongst the busyness and stress of planning our wedding). We could tell based on his process that it was important to Jeff to really get to know us as individuals and as a couple. This was one of our favourite parts about Jeff- knowing he took his role so seriously, but was also able to make it so much fun and light hearted for us. The ceremony that he put together with us was amazing - we couldn't even count the number of people who came up to us afterwards to complimented Jeff and our ceremony. Michelle was also amazing to work with during the time leading up to our wedding. She was so accessible and approachable all the time, and never made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions about my wedding that was a year away :) She provided great suggestions and feedback with every email reply - speaking from her previous experience and what has worked well at our venue etc. Michelle and Jeff also provided great suggestions for other vendors including our caterer and photographer (which were also fantastic). Michelle was still answering emails from me at 10pm the night before my wedding - she's amazing. The day of our wedding, Michelle did a wonderful job setting up our venue and being there for any issues etc. that came up. She coordinated all of the vendors on site that day and I didn't have to deal with a single issue or question prior to the ceremony. We would recommend Maeck Weddings 1000 times over to our closest friends/family and people we've never met. They're an absolute joy to work with - striking the perfect balance of professional and warm. By the time our wedding came around, we ended up feeling like we were just emailing/communicated back and forth with old friends. We were so incredibly thrilled to have Jeff Maeck to be the one to officiate our wedding ceremony this past September. As half of the Maeck Weddings team, we had all the faith in the world that he would handle the ceremony professionally but also with the right amount of lightheartedness we were hoping for. From the get-go, Jeff made the process one of pure ease for us. He worked with us to create a ceremony outline that suited us perfectly and worked in all of our suggestions while giving some great ones of his own. He was always there when we had questions or needed advice on any aspect of the wedding that came up. We had Jeff as our officiant at our wedding in July 2018. In short Jeff was nothing less than perfect, and we had many guests ask us afterwards how long we had known Jeff for. Working with Jeff was great! He gave us access to a Google Doc with our ceremony to work with him in collaborating on the script. As a type-A person, that was A-OK with me! I made loads of small changes, moved things around, changed the wording, added new sections and Jeff happily rolled with all of those changes and was enthusiastic throughout the whole process. I really appreciated that. We wanted a very personal ceremony, one that felt true to us, and in collaborating with Jeff we got exactly what we wanted. meeting with him prior to the wedding was great too as he gave us some wonderful tips about the ceremony too! I can't overstate how his positive attitude, helpful suggestions, and flexibility helped make the whole process great. One of the reasons we hired Jeff was because we weren't sure about how nervous we would be during the ceremony and wanted to add his dynamic personality to the mix so he could bring all that charisma and charm to the ceremony, especially if we would end up being panicked and lacking our normal effervescence. (ha!) People LOVED the ceremony and several told us it was one of the best ceremonies they've seen. It was so personal, so intimate, so very us, and Jeff was a bit part of making that happen. Several people asked me if Jeff was a relative or family friend because it seemed like he KNEW us, and knew us well. I can't think of a better compliment for an officiant than that! If you're looking for a meaningful ceremony you can customize, that's personal and not your run-of-the-mill stock ceremony, definitely meet with Jeff and have him wow you like he did us. We just had our wedding on April 27 2019 and Jeff was our officiant! Throughout the planning process Jeff was super helpful and organized. His email reminders and facetime meetings were extremely helpful - and not mention funny!!! He made the process as painless as possible. The day of our wedding was extremely chilly and windy and our ceremony was indeed outdoors (under a tent). Right before the ceremony Jeff asked my husband to be, if it was okay to cut some content out and just get to the point. I think all my guests really appreciated Jeffs quick thinking. Planning a wedding in a city I was relatively still new to, I knew I was going to need some assistance. My fiancé grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo but had no clue where to direct me for the decorators, dress shopping, flowers, venues, etc. With Michelle’s experience in the wedding industry through everything from wedding shows to previous weddings she had assisted with, I knew she would provide me with the best places to go and great contacts for hair and make up, decorators, etc while keeping in mind my budget as well as my ideas and small details that made our wedding our own. For our specific venue we were unable to get access to the hall until the morning of the wedding to set up not only the reception hall but also the outdoor ceremony. When we found this out I was slightly panicked as I am a very detail oriented person and knew exactly how we wanted the hall and grounds to look. Luckily for us, Michelle agreed to help us out and once I provided her with a description of how we wanted the centrepieces, candy bar, guest table, cake table as well as the outside venue for the ceremony we knew everything would be fine. Michelle was very attentive and made sure to ask questions in order to make sure she understood exactly what we was asking for and were envisioning. Everything looked absolutely stunning and perfect, we couldn’t have done it better ourselves and this allowed me to be stress free the day of our wedding and be able to relax and enjoy all the special moments. We were blown away by how smooth everything went, how funny and engaging he was with the audience and the level of care he put into crafting a memorable and emotional ceremony. The ceremony itself was very customizable and Jeff is so easy to talk to. Right from the first meeting we had, we felt very comfortable speaking with him and he walked us through the entire process from start to finish which was very helpful. What else is there to say that hasn’t been said in the other 90+ 5 star reviews? One of the things that stood out to me is how attentive Jeff can be. After we had our ceremony and my wife and I were taking photos, Jeff brought us some cold water to cool us down. He didn’t have to do that, but it’s those small details that stuck with me. I think most people tend to tune out during the ceremony portion of weddings. They are fairly standard, and often unoriginal, even impersonal sometimes. It is something I dreaded about my own wedding. Until I met Jeff. He changed the entire meaning of the wedding ceremony. I still cannot even comprehend how he did it, but it felt like he had known us from the very beginning by the way he talked about us the day of. While an elopement was never the plan, 2020 said otherwise, and Jeff really went the extra mile when we asked him to pivot with us to a small intimate gathering of just bride and groom and an empty field. When it felt like COVID-19 had taken all my special wedding moments away, Jeff truly helped make what we still could do, the ceremony, the most special and cherished moment of all.

Jeff and Michelle were such a pleasure to work with. In the year or so that we worked together it really felt like we got to know them in a special way. There's a downside to the wedding being over, and that's that the project we all worked on together is complete and... Well if you do it right you only get one wedding. I wish we could work with them over and over. Jeff's ceremony was amazing, we got so many compliments from both our in person and virtual guests. Michelle was so organized and on top of everything. Aly was such a delight as well and was such an integral part of keeping everything running smoothly and lookingalooking beautiful as well. I can't thank everyone enough for all of their help, not only at the wedding, but leading up to it. I was definitely one of those brides who sends a LOT of e-mails ???? (especially when covid hit - that put quite a wrench in everything! Weddings are hard enough without pulling it off in the middle of a global pandemic) and they were so supportive in every reply even though I would totally understand if I had annoyed the heck out of them. They curved with every pivot we had to make to keep the wedding happening safely and within the provincial restrictions. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming - this team made it feel not only manageable - but fun!! I can not recommend them enough.

Fantastic service! My now wife and I were married in June 2019 and decided after a thorough search to go with Jeff as our wedding officiant. We did not know it at the time of decision but this choice ended up being one of the best calls we made for our wedding planning. My wife and I were planning the wedding while also living apart quite a distance and hence we often had to make decisions in the short periods of time we were together. Jeff helped make this entire process WAY easier! He knew exactly when to check in, what we should have done by when, and was attentive to changes we wanted as we went along. His availability both via computer, phone, and in person allowed us to be comfortable with all of our wedding ceremony planning. We were particularly a fan of Jeff's attention to our wants for the ceremony. We were very easily able to tell him a general idea of what we were hoping for and he was able to develop our ideas further and craft a truly unique and memorable ceremony. Both the rehearsal the day before as well as the ceremony went fantastic in no small part thanks to Jeff. Sooo... when we started planning our wedding, the one part that we weren’t super excited about was the ceremony - we have been to so many weddings where the ceremony was generic and impersonal, the officiant stumbled on the couple’s names, and it was simply the part of the wedding that has to happen before everyone can have fun. BUT… when we met Jeff we immediately got excited; we knew this was not going to be that type of ceremony. Jeff was incredibly kind and helpful (and hilarious!) throughout the entire process. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, and didn't know if I could trust someone else to transform my rough sketches into reality. Where do I even begin?! Jeff, you were made for this. My husband and I wanted a wedding ceremony that our guests would be talking about for days, weeks or maybe even years. We honestly just really wanted a wedding ceremony that our guests would always remember. I mean, it was the reason we were all together on February 23, 2019 after all. Once the initial excitement of the engagement dies down and full wedding planning mode kicks in, Maeck Weddings would be my first suggestion to all my recently engaged friends/family following my experience with them. In the beginning stages of planning I was reluctant to get a wedding planner, as I figured I had all the bigger vendors booked and had everything under control. My (now) husband Mike was actually the one who suggested we get a month-of/day-of planner, and I still to this day thank him repeatedly for initially forcing me into this idea. His reasoning was that... I could do all the planning in the world, yet on the wedding day something was bound to go wrong. All the money and time wasn't worth the stress of figuring out mishaps and potentially putting a dampening on our day. He also wanted my helpful & hands-on family to be at ease and enjoy the day as well, without the set-up and detail stress that comes along with the wedding morning. Being the control freak I am, it's NOT easy to hand off the most important day of your life to someone else in hopes that they'll understand every aspect of your vision. I actually found Michelle and Jeff on Instagram and I have to be honest, once I saw Michelle's love for NYC and Jeff's for baseball in their bio, I knew we were off to a great start. They invited us over to their house for a drink and instantly we felt a connection to them, it was almost like we were catching up with old friends. Leaving the first meeting Mike & I felt so at ease, like they had us covered! Even though we only hired Michelle for our month-of/day-of, she went above and beyond to answer any little questions if we needed her opinion in the months leading up to the big day. Also, HUGE BONUS: she answers emails so quickly (almost instantly) which is so important to any bride/groom during planning & such an oversight with other vendors. Once it hit wedding month (aka panic status), Michelle sent me two very detailed coordination lists/schedules that I would fill out in order for her to be my eyes and ears on the wedding day. I probably put in a little more detail than most, but her constant questions on the smallest details of the day made me feel so much more relaxed. Michelle was also super accommodating with meetings as well, as I had just recently moved to the NYC/NJ area leading up the wedding day and Facetime was our only option. Come wedding morning, Michelle reined in the groomsmen for walking down the aisle & set up the ceremony space perfectly. However, going into the reception I was still nervous because all of my ideas were just in my head at this point and I didn't know how they would come together. Walking in for the reception reveal.. I was blown away!! It was EXACTLY as I had planned and pictured it to be, down to the last detail. Let me tell you, it seriously pays to have someone on 'your side' during set-up and detail changes at the venue, even when given a venue coordinator. I knew her direction made everything come together the way it did, and for that I'll be forever thankful. The night went seamlessly as she kept us on schedule and cued everything perfectly along with her husband Jeff. They roll with the punches and are so professional. You know you've made the right decision when all of your family and friends are commending your choice of wedding planners throughout the night and the weeks following. Michelle & Jeff, you've truly found your calling and it's a blessing to all of us brides (& grooms) out there. Thank-you for carrying out the best day of our lives, we'll be reliving this day over and over for years to come, with thanks to you! We hope to meet up with you both, and little Quinn next time you're here visiting NYC (for some shoe shopping and a Yankees game of course ????)!!

Jeff is doing all our legal stuff to be married and he is the sweetest, most understanding and amazing person. At the start of planning our wedding my mom got sick, I got pregnant, my dad was in recovery and we just had a ton going on. Jeff never pressured me to book with him, but would send me an email here and there to just check in and make sure my mom was doing ok and that I was doing ok with everything I had going on. It was such a nice special touch that he didn't care about us booking a service with him, but just wanted to make sure we were all ok. I can't wait to do all our wedding signing and legal stuff with him ahead of our wedding, so that my mom can officiate our actual wedding date. Then there is their amazing, incredible, fun, loving, perfect in every way, wedding coordinator Alicia. The best money I have spent on our wedding this far, has been hiring Alicia. She has made this process so easy, and any time I start feeling overwhelmed or stressed, I just reach out to her and she takes all my worries away. She also has reached out to me just to check in and see how things are going being a new mom, and checking in to see how my mom is doing. It feels like I am planning my wedding with my best friend instead of a complete stranger. And I have to give her huge props, because she just became a new mama herself and has continued to keep up with all the wedding planning and just reaching out to say hi. I honestly don't know how she does it, she is one incredible human. I can't rave enough about Maeck Weddings.

Where do I even begin....Jeff was referred to me by my make-up artist, he did her wedding as well as her sister's and when she told me about her experience I was super excited to reach out. When we got engaged we really did not want a big wedding with a generic ceremony, a personalized ceremony is obviously something that everyone wants but usually I have not seen that unless the couple does their own vows so that everyone can learn more about them and their love. Never did we imagine someone could pull off an incredible ceremony like Jeff did for us. Neither of us like being the center of attention (I know...it cannot be avoided on your wedding day), the idea of saying our own vows in front of everyone was terrifying to us - but we thought that would be the only way to really keep it personalized. Boy were we wrong. Jeff really took the time to get to know us, asked us questions individually and together to get to know our story, and put together such an incredible, personal ceremony that included stories about us that not everyone knew about, and added parts about our parents to really bring everything full circle and give our closest people a glimpse in to our love that they may not have known before. We were so nervous the week leading up to our wedding that we decided last minute not to do our own vows, we just wanted to hold hands and not have to read off a piece of paper. I reached out to Jeff and he was absolutely amazing about it all. I didn't have to worry about one single thing. He FaceTimed us the night before the wedding to make sure we were all set, and told us he would make sure everything went off without a hitch. He made us so comfortable, I honestly felt like we had known Jeff before we met him, he made us feel at ease with everything and we had the BEST time. Jeff was hilarious and literally every one of our guests came up to comment on how it was the best ceremony they had been too and that Jeff was the best officiant they had seen. Our friends were comparing him to Ryan Reynolds because of how funny he was throughout the ceremony and totally agree. Everyone was engaged in the entire ceremony and excited to celebrate! Honestly we cannot THANK YOU enough Jeff we had an amazing day and couldn't have asked for more!

Jeff recently officiated our February 2020 wedding. He is worth every penny. The ceremony was nothing short of spectacular. As we're located in a different city, we didn't meet him in person until the big day, but you never would have known. He was very professional, personable, and passionate.
