He shot our wedding and we are absolutely thrilled with the way he managed to capture our special day and all the genuine emotion - laughter, tears, joy, etc. His journalistic/storytelling style of photography is exactly what we were looking for. From our very first meeting we felt like we hired a friend to photograph our wedding. Shayne traveled to Toronto, checked in with us to make sure we knew he was ready for the day, and managed to efficiently wrangle our family and friends for photos when needed. If you are looking for a positive, upbeat, energetic and totally enthusiastic photographer, then look no further! We completed an engagement photo session with Shayne about a week ago and could not possibly be more thrilled. The idea we had for our engagement shoot was a little bit outside of the norm but Shayne was so excited about the idea which really helped to get us amped up. Shayne was 100% professional from day one and very prompt to respond to any kind of communication. But don’t let that fool you, he is also so much fun to be around. His energy is contagious! We are not photogenic people and really found that Shayne gave us the right amount of direction to make the photos look good while still letting us be ourselves. He is totally a photographer/ninja, sometimes we didn’t even know where he was but don’t worry, he is just doing what it takes to get the best shot. From the moment we met Shayne we felt comfortable around him. He was warm, funny, and made us feel relaxed. Leading up to the big day he was extremely responsive (seriously, I'm a Project Manager and this guys was on top of things!) and very open and willing to do what we asked of him. It is true what they say: you forget much of what happens on your wedding day which is why the pictures taken are that much more significant. I did not really believe this was true for how can one forget the details, the vivid feelings, the movements, the gestures of the most important day of their life? Well, sure enough, I did- but through Shayne's beautiful photography, I was able to remember snippets and moments of true joy with a clarity I thought I had lost. Not only did he capture the essential happiness of the day, he captured the minute details of my dress, the venue and the joy of both families with an expertise and flawlessness we all hope for in the photographer we choose. Shayne's photography style was exactly what we were looking for with our wedding. He told us that his job was to be invisible, and he really did that very well! I hardly remember seeing him, and yet he was able to capture all these fabulous candid moments that made our wedding photos so special. Shayne did our photos for our wedding a couple weeks ago in mid-May! First of all, Shayne was super responsive and was willing to make things work for us especially with a short timeline and a budget. We appreciated that Shayne was interested in getting to know us before our wedding day, and usually includes an engagement shoot before for this purpose. He was really fun and relaxed to work with, taking into account the specific things we were looking for and our own style, and also being able to go with the flow. A little bit of weather was not a big deal, he was able to work with a misty day and the photos turned out awesome! Also, having Shayne as your photographer is kind of like having two photographers in one person...it's amazing all the details and moments he was able to capture throughout the night. We really love our photos, they all turned out great, and they capture so much about our wedding day.

I spent our two and a half year engagement looking at Pinterest for shots we could take that wouldn’t look cheesy or forced. I had come to the conclusion that this was almost inevitable - so when we went into the engagement shoot with Shayne, I was wary of how this hour or so was going to go. It ended up being one of my favourite parts of the pre-wedding/planning experience. Shayne has this ridiculous ability to make you feel relaxed while he is bounding with energy, Canon in hand, snapping beautiful (& not cheesy) shots you didn’t know could be produced. By the time the wedding rolled around, we were completely at ease. We knew we were in good hands and we knew what phenomenal work Shayne could create - so it was one less thing to stress about on the day! Beyond the beautiful photos he took, one of the things I liked most about Shayne was how psyched he was for us – for our love, for our day, and for our memories. It seems like a small detail, but for me it was important to know that the people I surrounded myself with on our wedding day were just as excited for our next step as we were. Shayne is a great photographer and an even greater guy - he is by far one of the most talented, high energy, truly genuine persons I have ever met. We would work with him again in a heart beat.

Shayne was recommended to us by a friend, and I am so happy we went with him for our engagement and wedding photos. We really loved his style of photos, capturing moments of not only typical bride and groom photos etc, but all the guests at the wedding. It is really cool to see moments that you didn't get to witness yourself on your big day of your family and friends having a blast. From our first meeting he was super friendly and has a great sense of humour. He made us feel super comfortable while getting our photos taken. Shayne really went above and beyond to capture all the special moments of our wedding day. We received so many compliments about our photographer after the wedding. We had a touch of a nerd theme at our wedding, and we told him he would be sitting at the Star Wars table. He revealed after the ceremony he was rocking Star Wars socks, such a cool guy. Shayne always responded extremely fast anytime we had a question, and he accommodated all of our photo requests. We are so happy with our photos, they are absolutely gorgeous! Shayne is great to work with! Laid back and makes you feel comfortable, but also knows how to keep a rowdy wedding party in line to get the shots needed. We had a lot of moving pieces on our day and he made sure to capture all of them! We love our pictures so much, they capture so much emotion and the feel of the wedding. He ensured he captured important shots, and also the fun things happening during cocktail hour so we could see how much fun our guests were having. He printed a bunch of 5x7 photos for us, and delivered them in a beautiful box with USB so we can print more for family and friends. Shayne definitely is awesome to work with!

His photos are beautiful and captured our wedding day perfectly, including some unexpected candid shots. He's passionate about his work and it shows not only in the end results, but also in his approach to the entire event. He was incredibly good at getting our 30 or so guests (ages 2 to 90) sorted, lined up, grouped, regrouped, waiting, smiling, etc. before we had dinner. Omg where do you even begin on ALL of the amazing this man is! My husband and I were recommended Shane and he was 100% in it for satisfying our every hope and desire from the beginning! Our engagment photos ppl are still raving about, just got our wedding photos back and they are more then a girl could have ever even imagined! He depicted our special day above and beyond what we could of ever could of even hoped to be caught on film! He was beyond accomidating through covid and the million changes that had to be made his answer every time (10x no joke) was "yeah sure not a problem". Hello! Are you a nice, good looking person who happens to look awkward in a lot of photos? Do you somehow manage to close your eyes at the exact wrong moment? Do you shy away from selfies? Shayne will fix this! As one half of a photo-fearing couple, I want to leave Shayne this review: Shayne made us feel comfortable. Shayne made us look like the best versions of ourselves. We had the pleasure of seeing Shayne shoot weddings of dear friends, and we were so impressed by his easy going nature and his ability to organize large groups (AKA herding cats). Shayne also responds very quickly to emails! I was so impressed by Shayne's creative use of space and light - our engagment photos took advantage of evening light at Queen's, and our sunny afternoon wedding photos put a totally different spin on the same place! Shayne is the perfect combination of easy going and professional - this combination yields truly beautiful photos. Shayne's professionalism and clear instructions help to create lovely images. The posed photos with family and wedding parties go from stiff and formal to fun and relaxed. I was so impressed with the quick turn around for a perfectly compiled online gallery. The sneak peeks (done in less than a day!) are such a special surprise. The best part of working with Shayne is the couple's photos - he reminds you to focus on your partner, the person you love, and this really shows. You will be thrilled to work with Shayne!

Shayne is great! He is creative and his images are of great professional quality, but he is also fun, warm and relaxed. Shayne took our engagement and wedding photos and we love all of them. He was great at capturing the real emotion of our wedding by shooting what was actually happening rather than relying on contrived gimmicks or silly poses. Although his style is photojournalistic, he was adept at the traditional wedding photos that everybody's grandma needs to see.

Quality, Reliability, Experience, Style, Cost and Value. These are just some of the things I would give Shayne 5 stars on. From day 1 we have had a great connection with Shayne but it really came to be something much more appreciated "THE DAY". Our engagement session was mellow, laid back and comfortable but on the most stressful day of our life (especially the bride's) Shayne had nerves of steel and shared tips and tricks to help us maintain composure and ENJOY our day. He took the worry out and occasionally through the evening shared some of the sneak peeks of what was to be our Wedding Album. Shayne has a true passion for what he does and he really engrosses himself in providing shots he can be proud of and that anyone he shoots for would be extremely thankful for. If photos are one of the first things you think of as soon as that ring is on you're in the right place. Photos are on thing my husband and I did not want to compromise on. We knew we would (hopefully) look at these photos for years to come and it's hard to put a price on that. Kingston is fortunate to have a number of great photographers but in order for it to work you have to love the photos and the person behind them. When we met with Shayne it was clear that this was our type of photographer. He was competent, relaxed and creative - all the qualities we wanted in our photographer. Our engagement photos were amazing, we still get comments on them a year later. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and we had a great time with Shayne and his second shooter. The photos turned out gorgeous and he really captured the important moments organically, without them looking stiff or posed. Cliff notes: Hiring SB Images will be one of your better decisions. Fun, easy to work with, makes you feel very comfortable right off the bat. Shayne captured our WHOLE day perfectly. Not only did he deliver gorgeous portraits of my husband and I but almost more importantly he caught all of the small bits that I wouldn't have changes for the world: my conservative grandfather busting a move on the dance floor; the best man's struggles with a bow tie, my MOH and her dress with a busted zipper (FYI Shayne was able to save the day with a sewing kit in about 5 minutes flat - I didn't even have time to worry before he had a solution) ... Literally all the bits, I will remember with a beaming smile years later; he caught all the laughter, tears and ridiculous heartfelt moments. I was overwhelmed when we when through the photos. From the moment we met Shayne over a couple pints at our local watering hole, we knew he was going to be the perfect photographer for the best day of our lives! Five stars really isn’t enough, but it’s all google will allow! We were worried we would be awkward and look silly in our engagement pictures, but Shayne made it fun and easy and we all laughed the whole time! He made us realize that what shone through in the photos was how much we actually loved being together and the awkwardness just faded away! Besides being an exceptionally talented photographer Shayne had a great laid back personality, but he isn’t afraid to dish it- he had our wedding party cracking up and chirping eachother the whole day! The images he was able to produce so truly captured the emotions of the day, that I found myself thankful I hadn’t gotten a videographer because I could relive the whole day through the pictures! His ability to capture everything (even an unplanned wine spill) is pure, professional talent. His professionalism is top notch and is very responsive to even the smallest of questions. Shayne was the talk of our wedding! Everyone was so impressed with his ability to capture the day without being noticed and his ability to fit in with the crowd. We were married November 3rd, 2018, and had the pleasure of working with Shayne Bampton as our wedding photographer. From our first meeting - at a pub, no less! - to our actual event, Shayne was a different kind of professional. To top it off, he has a terrific sense of humour, and he gives back to the local hospital that helped his family during their time of need.
