We saw some of Viara’s work and thought we really liked how her photos captured personalities and moments. My husband and I are awkward in front of a camera to say the least. We had Viara photograph our June 2019 wedding and it was the best investment we made. Photography holds a very special place in mine and my husband's heart and the wedding photos we received were beautiful. When I look back on these photos, I can feel the emotions that were felt that day by me, my husband, family and friends. What we love most about our photos and Viara's work is that it is quirky (hence her business name). They aren't the typical run of the mill, overly-posed, average wedding photos that you see so much of today. Instead her work is raw, beautiful, emotional, funny and so much more. No staged shots or awkward posing, just hanging out and capturing what our love really looks like. I can't wait to have them shoot our wedding next summer :)

We had the pleasure of Viara photographing our wedding day in May 2019. She and Liz had taken photos at our friends’ wedding right before we got engaged, and had snapped a couple really sweet shots of us dancing there. We knew we wanted them to photograph our own, but the budget was an issue, so we opted for the 6-hour package (the ceremony, and some of the reception) with one photographer. Closer to the wedding as she started sharing some getting ready photos of other wedding on Instagram , I became very sad that we wouldn’t have them. I talked to my husband and we decided to stretch our budget to get the full day. This is the best decision we made for our wedding (choosing Quirky Love, and then later choosing to have the full day). To any brides struggling with justifying the price of a photographer - it is arguably the only real important thing to have. Splurge. Feel good about splurging. My only regret is not also paying for both her and Liz to photograph the day, however, even on her own, Viara blew it out of the water. We are happier with our photos than we could have ever imagined. I provided a pretty sizeable list of portraits do be done and even though that’s not really her jam, she did it quickly and produced amazing shots. The rest of the photos are raw, amazing, and truly capture what the day felt like. Before the wedding, she was very responsive and comforting (especially when I had a breakdown about the possibility of rain a few days before our wedding: and yes, it rained, and the photos were still perfect). If candid, documentary-style photos are what you envision for your wedding day, needless to say I would 100% recommend Quirky Love.

Viara was our photographer on our wedding day in Kingston in February and we couldn't have asked for a better person to capture the day, for two key reasons: 1) She's incredibly skilled. We asked her to take photos in some pretty challenging environments (a lot of snow, some bright blue skies, in the woods) with some pretty difficult situations (moving birds) with some not naturally photogenic people (me). The photos are amazing, perfect depth of field, framing, really creative use of light and most importantly, capturing some beautiful and funny moments. 2) She's a lovely person. Through the planning process where we shared our thoughts and preferences, she put us at ease. On the day, she was the epitomy of calm, as well as an amazing mix of stealthy photographer and fun party guest. If you want photos that capture the real essence of a day in your life, we recommend Viara 100%!!!!
