We were so thankful for everything Lamour did for us on our wedding day. Going above and beyond our expectations is an understatement. Driving over an hour to cater our special day, to ensuring the bride had everything she wanted and more. Denise even made the brides brother serve her, her first meal. Denise, Sandy and staff made sure our night had just that much more fun in it. The Decor was beautiful, and the food was so delicious. I could go on and on about the phenomenal service Denise provided over the past several months, however all everyone needs to know is that she is an amazing individual and even more than amazing at her job.

Denise and Sandy and their amazing crew catered our wedding this past Saturday, June 2 at Fields on West Lake! To say the food and service was amazing would be a gigantic understatement! I can’t say enough about L’amour catering. They did a wonderful job catering my husbands birthday party. They arrived on time, set up in my kitchen and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The servers were professional and kept everybody well fed. Sandy the bartender kept everyone’s thirst quenched. We had Denise, Sandy, the wonderfull Amber, and all their amazing staff cater our wedding on August 28th 2021. We had prime rib, stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes, traditional Greek salad, Caesar salad, and asparagus. We also had their delicious apps which included spring rolls, sticky chicken satays, and coconut shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection and all was cooked out side. Our guests were thoroughly impressed with the food and service. Denise, Sandy and Amber are exceptionally easy to work with and made the catering part of our day go off without a hitch. Denise and Sandy went absolutely above and beyond for my wedding early september 2018. Denise was so helpful during the planning process and responded to messages very promptly. I ordered sandwiches and fruit trays for the day of getting ready, lots of appetizers and our full meal. My guests are still talking about how hot and delicious all of the food was. Some people were skeptical as our venue was a barn but L’amour Cateting knocked it out of the park. There wasn’t one component of food that was not delicious. They by far exceeded our expectations not only with food, but with the fantastic service. I will be recommending L’amour Catering to all friends, family and acquaintances for future events!

Catered for a couple of my closest friends last september. I was in the wedding and there where many complications that occurred with this wedding as there venue closed on them and needed to find a new place when we fu d a new place ( a friends large yard) these guys came to the rescue and used a home kitchen to prepare our meals!! With all the rain and all the hassle this team pulled off an impossible situation with smiles on there faces and positive words all the way through all the negative things that happened. They pulled off an amazing meal complimented by all guests who attended and a few of those guests have hired these guys since because of this wedding. Thank you guys for all that you do ! Your care and compassion for the bride and groom was just as amazing as your food was! Wedding July 14, 2018: The measure of a truly excellent meal, is an absolutely quiet room of over 50 people with their heads down, simply enjoying it!!! Three weeks on, and our friends and family are still raving about the dinner. It was nice and hot, fresh, very attractive and Oh! So tasty! Her gluten-free, vegan dish was an excellent addition to our buffet that everyone enjoyed. I received specific feedback from our vegan friends that they were so pleased to have been able to have a full plate -- with variety! The most common feedback, 'BEST wedding meal, ever!!' Denise was a solid, down-to-earth guide for this scattered, indecisive and always, 'last minute' bride. She answered my questions promptly and with grace. She was also very helpful with tips, referrals and ideas. Denise and her team served our guests with a professional, helpful and very friendly presence. I totally recommend L'Amour Catering and thank Denise, Sandy and their whole team for their service and talents.

Denise and Sandy at L'Amour Catering were AMAZING. I'd give them 20 stars if I could. After a horrible issue with my caterer, I found myself 3 months away from my wedding day with no caterer. Denise found my Facebook post begging for help and reached out. Within an HOUR of me posting online, I had a caterer. She literally save my wedding. Fast forward to the wedding day, the food was THE BEST FOOD IVE EVER EATEN. Hands down. She made me my favourite meal better than I've ever had it. My guests still talk about it (almost a year and a half later! Five Star Catering!!! L'Amour catered my brother's wedding this past weekend & I cannot say enough good things about, not just their food, but their staff & service as well! Being in the wedding party, my time was occupied by glad-handing & makin' the rounds making, slipping away for food would've been a challenge. L'Amour had already considered this! As soon as the ceremony & photographs had concluded hors d'oeuvres were already being served. *one of the hors d'oeuvres was the best Springrolls I've ever tasted! The wedding fell during the freak Ice Storm of April 2018 & even that didn't cause them to skip a beat. They still arrived early and gave service that was above and beyond. Staff & servers were fast, friendly & courteous and the food they brought out was amazing! I had chicken stuffed with spinach, divine! Others had prime rib, I heard only great feedback! Other notables: -my girlfriend's a vegetarian & (pardon the pun) they catered to her with Spaghetti Squash dish. *caught her going through regular buffet to get the peppers/mushrooms! -A1 Deserts -meat/cheese platter (before hors d'oeuvres) -Denise is great, we lacked for nothing!

Denise was so easy to work with, accommodating of special diets, and flexible when we needed to make changes due to covid restrictions. Denise went above and beyond to give us the best experience, making us small charcuterie boards for each table because of the restrictions in place for covid re: buffet style meals. There are so many great things to say about Denise & Sandy and their team. From the first time I met them I felt so comfortable. Denise was on top of every detail. She asked me questions that I hadn't even thought about. Leading up the the wedding we texted back and forth about last minute details. Fast forward to the weekend of the wedding. Denise & Sandy met us at the hall the night before to help set up. She brought extra items that I hadn't even thought to ask for because she thought they would enhance the decor. The day of the wedding everything was perfect. They saved appetizers for us (which were delicious) since we were arriving after the guests. The staff were all so friendly and the food was amazing. The beef tenderloin was out of this world. We had a late night breakfast buffet that guest raved about. I had so many compliments from my guests about the quality of the food & the service. Denise & Sandy were on top of every detail. They checked in with me throughout the night to make sure that I felt like things were going well. Denise was there right until the end of the evening when we were cleaning up. I would use L'Amour catering again in a heartbeat for another event.

Denise’s team catered my wedding last Saturday and they were nothing but helpful the entire time. When there was a smudge in my cake, she fixed it for me without hesitation even though she didn’t make the cake. The food was to die for, it’s all we kept hearing about all night was how good the food was. On May 26 I was married in Bath. I’m not from this area so I found on Facebook the Kingston Wedding site and relied on previous brides to help me plan my wedding. My mom kept telling me the same thing... no one is going to remember the decor, the fancy charger plates I had to have, they are going to remember the food. I asked the girls on the site who was a great caterer in Kingston. They all said L’amour. But they doubted I would get my date even though I was a year in advance. Denise Bertium and Sandy Dean are the best in the Kingston wedding scene. It was more than true. This is our experience. My bridesmaids were not in town yet, I told Denise. She came to the hall with a staff member and Sandy and did my entire set up. She took a huge weight off a nervous bride. Also... the alterations on my dress were not finished the day before the wedding. I didn’t know if I had a dress. I was so upset. Denise said don’t worry... my daughters is cleaned and ready for you if yours is not done. That’s pretty amazing for someone who’s only responsible for food. She took control. And my Wedding ran so smooth. The venue was beautiful. They took care of cocktail hour. Her staff is efficient and polite. My guests had lots to get them started. Sandy ran my bar. He learned my guests names and remembered their drinks. I think that’s pretty personal and amazing. He made fancy drinks for the guests and never was there a line up at the bar. Dinner was amazing!!! Our parents paid for it and said they had no problem with it because it was sooooo good and so plentiful and tons of choice. Not to mention everyone was served and eating quickly but not rushed. There was seconds and no one wanted them. They were full. Dessert was gorgeous. I chose fruit pies. Denise’s pastry is flaky and light and she adds the finishing touches that make the difference. Some of my pies had heart cut outs on them. These small touches are why you want L’amour and they don’t go unnoticed. Denise saw my venue and brought extra decorations that she knew were the finishing touches. That was so kind of her. She knows every vendor. She is a wealth of knowledge. Six weeks ago Denise and Sandy were my caterers. Today they are our friends that we plan to do things with. They are not only great caterers they are great people. My wedding was perfect because of them. I can’t say enough or thank them enough. Good people that are running a hands on business with a great staff and doing great things on the Kingston and area wedding scene. You will not be disappointed. Marc and Lori Patry.

Where do I begin? this was the company my daughter chose for her outdoor wedding August 2018. They were professional in set up and clean up. The staff were so hard working and pleasant. They had full use of our kitchen and brought their own cooking Ovens and stoves. They were so clean and efficient. They left my place cleaner than I left it for them. Now the best part. The appetizers were awesome as were the servers. The dinner was unbelievable. It was the best prime rib potatoes and vegetables I have ever had. It was buffet style and so much food for 180 people there was seconds and thirds. The pricing must have been really good too as my daughter had a budget. The owner Denise was amazing to work with and she did so much to make everything run smoothly without any hiccups or issues. She made it memorable for not just my daughter and her husband but everyone that attended. They are still talking about how amazing the food was and the servers that worked the event. they couldn't get over how much food there was and how delicous everything was. We had three different meal options and each one was amazing! The level of care and passion that went in to the planning and execution of the service was bar-none. Do yourself a favour – it you are looking to book a wedding, book L’Amour Catering & Cakes as soon as possible… and if they aren’t available the day you’d like to get married, it’d be worth changing the date!!! Denise and Sandy made our wedding day seamless, gorgeous and better than I could have ever imagined. Their rentals are amazing, their food is incredible, and their professionalism and attention to detail cannot even be put into words. I cannot even begin to tell you how incredible it is to gain members of your family through booking a caterer, and we look forward to hopefully sharing a drink with them at some point soon!

Honestly, the staff were not that bad, only a few were smoking outside, which I am a smoker so it wasn’t a huge issue but other quests seems to be affected which we didn’t enjoy. My issue was with Denise. We asked her multiple times to have the food out and ready for a specific time, and she was 20 minutes late, putting our entire evening off track. She wasn’t very empathetic when we discussed our concerns acting smug and arrogant as she already had our funds. I would not recommend her. The food was not the issue here. It was fine just a bit cold.

We got married on October 13, 2018. Our experience with L’amour was great from our very first meeting almost 2 years before our actual wedding. Denise helped us set up the day before the wedding, and also cleaned some things up before she left the night of! And the most important thing, the food was AMAZING!! The meal was equally as good, any guest that has spoken too us about the food had nothing but great things to say. We didn't do food tasting or anything but just relying on reviews and recommendations, we adjusted our wedding date to their availability upon receiving a quote from them. We were on a tight budget and Denise & Sandy worked happily with us. Two days before our wedding, few vendors bailed out on us, we didn't have a ceremony area and the stress level was so high. A day before the wedding, the day Denise and her staff to set up; they transformed our reception area to this elegant cozy tent that upon seeing it I couldn't help but cry. Denise made sure we would have a lovely ceremony as well by doing last minute decorations. Wedding day came and looking at everything from the food set up to the ceremony area, it was surreal. The beauty and perfection infront of me was way beyond my imagination. The food were fresh, scrumptious and served with great smile even if they had to walk back and forth between two homes. Our guests couldn't stop raving bout the food and L'Amour staff all night long and above all my husband loves and trusts me even more now in making the right choices. I am Mrs. Right! L'Amour Catering and Cakes staff were very accommodating, courteous, hardworkers and passionate in giving couples one of the best days of their lives. We cannot say enough amazing things about Denise, Sandy and the whole gang! Our wedding was last weekend and it went off without a hitch. This is hugely due to how amazing L’Amour Catering is! Denise came for our rehearsal day and helped the groomsmen, my husband and I set up. She put in a full 6 hour day. She listened to every crazy specification I had and made our tables and venue look absolutely incredible! And don’t even get me started on the food! Denise and her team handled the serving of all the deliciousness. Sandy handled our slow roasted pig and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Almost every guest has told either me, my husband or my parents how good the food was. Denise also made an absolutely stunning cake that was so yummy! After the dinner was over, the staff was very quick with the clean up and never in anyone’s way. Denise also stayed until well into the evening to help our bridal party and parents with the tear down. She is always joking and is a joy to be around. We 100% recommend L’Amour Catering to anyone looking for the perfect wedding. A complete 10/10 in our books.

I first had their food at a work Christmas party. It was absolutely delicious. I then hired them to work my wedding. Not only was the food and service the best I have ever had but Denise stepped up the day before my wedding and handled an issue that came up. I had ordered the linens and when I picked them up the day before the wedding we were short for an entire table. Denise called the company and ensured that the linens were not only there in time for my wedding day but she ensured it was set up in time for the dinner. Denise and Sandy catered my wedding in September of 2016 and my guests still talk about how amazing the food was! They were more than accommodating with us when we chose to do a brunch which included 2 types of meat, omelette bar, French toast, fruit salad, buns, muffins, soup, fancy little sandwiches( I Don t remeber the kinda they were just delicious!) and a few kinda of salads. They also catered out cocktail hour in which we didn't attend because of pictures so They saved us some of everything. L’Amour Catering was recommended to me for my daughter’s wedding, and from the first moment I reached out Denise was nothing but helpful. Not only did she easily agree to my daughters idea of a hamburger buffet for her wedding but she suggested specialized burgers that “fancied” it up and many many side dishes. There was definitely more food than could be consumed and lots of options for all eaters, including vegetarians. Not only was the dinner delicious but the appetizers that Denise and her staff served and prepared were incredible as well. The staff were always pleasant and went above and beyond to help out. Aside from the above, Denise suggested a venue to us, which led to the wedding of my daughters dreams. She also helped to source out items such as ice that we required, and suggested a rental fridge (not hers) which was the answer to our problems! We were also able to rent other needed decorative items directly from Denise, which were a perfect touch to the evening. If you want a personalized, highly attentive caterer, I highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of being a guest for a wedding that was catered by L'Amour on July 18th of last year. I have gone to weddings with significantly more expensive plates, but very few come close to the quality and consistency of the food made by Denise and her staff. The appetizers were all excellent. The entrées were prime rib and salmon, and both were juicy and very flavourful. I've had many dry cuts of meat at weddings before, but not with Denise! Her entrées were really a cut above! The desserts were all hand made and delicious. I would recommend this catering service for anyone in the Kingstion and surrounding area. Excellent quality food, amazing service, and at a significantly lower cost than the competition. Go. With. This. Company.

L'Amour Catering did our wedding on August 11th, and the food was amazing! They had everything ready and hot on time, and made my dream of a classy burger bar wedding meal come true. I was a fan of the classic cheddar and bacon burger, but heard many guests raving about the caramelized onion and brie option as well. They provided lots of side options with assorted salads and corn on the cob, so there was somehing for everyone.The staff were happy to answer any questions and were very approachable. I would definitely recommend them to anybody planning a wedding, or for any other event where you want the catering done right!

She also helped us when we needed to make changes due to Covid. Denise was very responsive to any questions I had both through email and on the phone. Come the day of, Amber and her team catered our dinner. Not only did they come out to the wedding party before our introductions to offer us appetizers, but they also offered extremely professional service inside throughout the night. Both courses of our dinner were served quickly and efficiently, I barely had time to look up and the last table was already served. The food (prime rib, stuffed chicken, yukon golds and carrots) was absolutely delicious and the portion size was huge! I ended up sharing half my prime rib with my husband. After dinner, they quickly cleaned up and took care of everything. We have already gotten so many compliments on the food and service and I'm sure there is more to come. we booked with L'Amour after our local caterer decided to close up shop the month before our event. Denise and Sandy did a fantastic job! our event was in Belleville. they arrived on time, had more than enough food for our guests. we had a buffet lunch followed by an open house with a selection of hors d'oeuvres. they were able to provide an additional vegetarian dish on the buffet - i requested for one person and they supplied enough for several guests and there wasn't a morsel left over. i would absolutely book with them again. thank you for helping our day go smoothly!!

Denise and Sandy catered my wedding in June 2016. We had a small, private ceremony followed by dinner at a local restaurant, but L'amour catered our late night buffet. From the moment we booked with them, Denise was so incredibly helpful. From dealing with a bride that made many (and I mean many) changes to the menu, then to help re-do the menu when our budget changed, to helping me during my more stressed out moments, this woman takes her brides under her wing and treats them like gold! She has a warm heart and just wants to see her clients happy and taken care of. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. As for the food - it was amazing! No detail was left behind. The table set up was beautiful. The food was delicious. Everyone raved about the meatballs! It was exactly what everyone wanted and we received comments for months afterwards! I could literally go on forever, but to sum it up, I would 1000% recommend L'amour to anyone needing to book a caterer. We will absolutely be calling upon Denise and her crew for any future events we host!
