Extremely unprofessional events coordinator Bev...couldn't even be bothered to show up to the tour she scheduled for us to possibly have our wedding and social at TCC. Called her cell twice didn't even answer. Would highly not recommend wasting your time.

My Channel Is A Joke

I went to a celebration of my friend’s life at Transcona Country Club, the service was amazing, the supervisor Bev was friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean and the food was delicious. My only complaint was that the coffee was a little bit strong. Other than that, my time honouring my friend’s life was respectful and enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking events here.

Lineup at the bar never got too big. They had a beer window also which helped out. Staff was friendly and polite. Tables had enough space between to get in and out of your seat. I would recommend this place.

Our wedding day, including both ceremony and reception, was at the Transcona Country Club. The coordination and organization of the staff was amazing! We were grateful for their timely communication to all my questions throughout the entire process, flexibility with our changing plans and freedom with our decorations! I would also like to add the buffet was soooo good! The food was served to all our the guests (135) really quickly and was very delicious! Would recommend to everyone for their special day. Thanks again!

My wife’s parents got married at the Transcona Country Club 30 years ago, and had nothing but good things to say about it, so last year my wife and I had our ceremony and reception there and the service and food was amazing, couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Tried the golf course out as a work outing and found it to be a really nicely laid out course however it is one of the higher priced courses to attend compared to some other public courses in the city.

Bev really made my wife and I's wedding really less stressed for she had vendors already recommended for our event! Really enjoyed our beautiful night ceremony and was blessed to have Bev help us! kept in communication with us and was great to communicate through all of it with the ongoing pandemic and with the so many restrictions in play

Recently had my daughters wedding there. Leanne was excellent to work with. Will was very accommodating and easy to work with. Had the service at there outside venue, was very nice. It was a very hot day, they had ice cold water for people to drink before the service and some nice cold beer or wine for the wedding party. Hall was decorated beautifully, there music man was fantastic. Food was very good except they used frozen vegetables!!! Summer in Winnipeg, should have had fresh vegetables. When they brought the wine to the tables, they opened every bottle instead of asking if anyone wanted wine or if they preferred red or white. Lots of full bottles we had to pay for and they wouldn’t let us take them. Lastly, the late night lunch was good, but they took it away very fast, most people went up for some including myself and it was gone.

We had our wedding here on July 5, 2014 and I can not say enough GOOD things about our experience! Right from our first phone call inquiring about having our wedding there, down to going over the bill afterwards, it was nothing but a positive experience. Leanne and Terry, along with all of the staff were amazing! Dealing with them both was an absolute pleasure. They are extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. Leanne was extremely helpful in the planning stages and Terry was a rock on the day of our wedding, making sure everything ran smoothly. The staff at the reception were wonderful! They were so attentive to what was going on. My aunt picked up 2 plates at the buffet to start filling one for her and one for my 95 year old grandmother (who is in a wheelchair) and someone was at her side immediately to fill Grandma's plate so that my aunt could do her own. We've heard nothing but positive comments regarding the staff and everyone said the food was amazing! Truly exceptional service from start to finish! I will recommend the Transcona Country Club to anyone who is planning an event. Thank you to everyone at the Transcona Country Club for making our special day PERFECT!!!

Really bad. Their food table for 400 plus guest was a single fold out out table and no utensils. I would never hold an affair there. The acustica is also bad. They should bury their head in shame

We had an appointment booked for a site visit, and the representative did not show up for the appointment; We had to call her and she didn't even know when our appointment time was. Beverly Villagarcia is very unorganized and unprofessional -- Unfortunately because of this we could not do business here.

Absolutely horrible staff to deal with. Bev the so called event planner was disorganized, late or absent for most of the event. Bathrooms were disgusting staff didn’t have a clue , didn’t know or want to handle anything and the security was a joke..bar staff was slow and waited for drinks forever people even bringing in there own booze... Don’t recommend ever dealing with Bev!

My Fiancé and I had our Halloween wedding social here and we could not be more disappointed. Just 3 weeks before our social date, we were told the price per person, and drink prices had all increased exponentially! My fiancé had been in contact with this venue for over two years as we had to postpone our first social due to covid, and at no point in the two years other then 3 weeks before the social had they mentioned the price increase. Bev, the events coordinator was extremely unprofessional and unorganized, showing up late to meetings, taking days to answer emails, and never ended up sending us the contact information for the DJ that they provided. We had to google their information ourselves and confirm they were even booked for our event! On the night of the social, when we arrived they were not ready for us to start decorating as they didn’t even have enough table cloths for all tables. They had the opportunity to have two bars but decided only to have one which caused a 15 minute wait to get a drink all night. The food that they MADE us buy was pathetic. 1/8 of a sandwich, cheese and pickles which they charged us over $2000 for! Security was completely overwhelmed, even though it was only half capacity. Any time there was an issue, security asked us to handle it, which begs the question why security was even there? The staff started cleaning up before the night was over, throwing out peoples drinks and food. We would not recommend this venue as it added so much stress as we were under the impression things were going to be taken care of and they weren’t. We understand the challenges of running of business during covid, and those are not the issues we had. The issues we had was purely the unprofessionalism, disorganization, and the execution of the evening.

Our wedding was beautiful, thanks to Leanne and Terry! Leanne made wedding planning as easy as it can be, and Terry was just awesome on our wedding day - we were able to sit back and relax instead of worrying about the reception. The food was great, and the venue looks pretty good. Would definitely recommend it for weddings.
