I found Wayne through google search of wedding officiants here in Winnipeg. Wayne responded very quickly and we began corresponding to come up with a small, intimate wedding. This could be challenging and stressful during this time due to Covid-19, however Wayne was so flexible and relaxed that it made planning our wedding ceremony very easy. He took the time to get to know myself and my Husband through a survey that we did separately, and infused unique facts and stories about us as a couple and individuals into our ceremony. He also provided templates and examples of vows etc to peruse on his website to make it even easier. Wayne was very easy to connect to through email or text, and was also extremely accommodating, relaxed, yet efficient on the wedding day. He even followed us to our home close by the venue after the ceremony to sign the marriage license. I would highly recommend Wayne as a wedding officiant. My husband and I needed a last minute officiant due to COVID. We reached out to Let's Tie the Knot and within a couple of hours we had a Zoom call setup with Patrick. Although they only had a week and a half to prep us, Patrick and Wayne, also from Let's Tie the Knot, provided everything we needed and prepared us for everything we needed to know the day of. If you’re looking for a ceremony that’s a little different than the norm, Wayne is your guy. He helped us create a casual yet articulate script that really captured both our relationship and the relaxed, intimate vibe we wanted. He’s probably one of the few wedding vendors in Winnipeg who answers emails and messages almost immediately, which made this process so much easier. Wayne worked with us to craft our own vows, and it’s clear he knows what he’s doing. He’s open to suggestions, and he really worked to make sure our ceremony was about us. He arrived at our venue early and ready to go. We didn’t hire a wedding planner or coordinator, but he came prepared and didn’t need much direction. It really left me free to enjoy the day instead of worrying about things like the ceremony setup and logistics. Plus, we were married on a Sunday, and he submitted all our paperwork first thing on Monday morning.

It was really important to him to customize our ceremony to be unique to us as a couple and that was important to us too. As requested, he kept the ceremony short and sweet, was funny and kind and so helpful throughout the whole process. I had initially found Lets Tie the Knot through a simple google search when looking for a marriage commissioner. All of the reviews on the website were fantastic so I reached out to them to set up a meeting. Wayne was absolutely fabulous from the moment we met him, such a calm demeanor and so easy to talk to! Our ceremony was completely customized to what my husband and I were looking for and Wayne was always accepting of any feedback provided. Wayne was also very helpful with the creation of our own vows. We ended up having to postpone our ceremony a couple of times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Wayne was by far the most helpful vendor through it all. He was always quick to email us with updates/information on the public health orders and even just to check in and see how we were handling all the disappointment last year. He was so easy to get in contact with for any questions and so accommodating when the date kept changing. If I had to do it all over again I would pick Wayne and his team in a heartbeat!

We worked with Wayne over distance as we do not live in Winnipeg where our ceremony was. He had a draft of our ceremony done quickly, even though we did not give him a lot of time.
