We went to rent raft and tubes to Wilderness and I must say the people working there are so friendly and accommodating. The owner himself is so pleasant to talk with and understanding. We had so much fun tubing and rafting and we cant wait to go back!

The Wilderness Edge Retreat offers a pretty fun and organized rafting/tubing experience but the wait times to get said raft/tube can be quite long.

Very unorganized, left us at the end of the lazy river for an hour before picking us up to go to our car. Also took an hour to actually get onto the lazy river as well. Overall not a very good experience with the actual business.

Fridge didn't work, than next day we switched rooms and the toilet wasn't working and flooded the bathroom. The door into the room wouldn't lock. It's on my top 3 worst hotels I have ever stayed in!!!!

Went with a group of friends for the purpose of renting tubes to go down the pinawa channel. Called ahead at 9:30 am as suggested on the website as reservations are not taken ahead of the same day. Called multiple times with no answer and ultimately left a voice mail. Never received a call back. When we arrived at 1030 am there was no staff present. Another group was present and informed us that the business owner had previously told them it was a 40 minute wait. When the owner arrived, he told us the wait tie was now 2 hours, which was fine for us and he took our information down and put it on his list. He suggested we go to the local beach to wait which we did. When we came back 2 hours later, he said that he was waiting to hear from his staff how many tubes were available. While we were waiting by the desk, another group (larger than ours) came in. They told him they had been waiting for an hour. He proceeded to then instruct them were they can meet his staff so they could start tubing. When we asked the owner what was going on he told us that they had been in an hour ago and that he made a business decision to provide them with tubes first. Overall, it took us (and a couple that was waiting the whole time with us) nearly 4 hours to get rentals. Definitely would not use their services again.

The price and the food and coffee and rafting and the atmosphere are excellent. Very kind owner and staffs. It's owner (Wes Penner) is very old but he is very hardworking and smart. He handles all things by himself alone: receipting, cleaning, driving tractor, making coffee and gathering dirty dishes, preparing rooms, and anything else. He handed all hotel's positions by himself alone. In my home country, men in his age are almost dead or in best position retired and waiting to be dead.
