Our journey with Tedi and Evan began very shortly after I asked my wife to marry me. We decided to do engagement pictures at BDI ice cream-in. We used the bridge and the river side for their scenic value and caputed some fantastic shots. I was blown way by their ability to keep my two year old son engaged and having fun! Tedi and Evan were so good with Braxton, he loves them. Angela and I thought long and hard about how much to spend on photographers and which packages to pick and tedi and Evan exceed the value we paid. We got our money's worth and much much more. When my wife and I sat down and watched the video we were both so overwhelmed with happiness. They gave us a way to relive one of the happiest days of our lives. To be able to hear the sounds of the voices of our family's and laugh at the same jokes from that night was incredible. Things that can't be done with pictures. If your on the fence about the video don't make the mistake of missing out. Tedi and Evan were extremely professional and so enjoyable to be around. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for my family. They are a dream team.

Tedi and Evan are insanely talented, insanely detailed and driven, and insanely fun. Their work has captured our biggest life moments in such a unique and personal way, that has us laughing, tearing up, and happy dancing every single time we watch. The energy and talent they bring to their craft is unparalleled - and to top it all off they are genuinely beautiful people that you will want to be best friends with. Their demeanor is always professional, but relaxed and they take all the pressure off of you by handling the details so you have one less thing to think about (which is the one thing we all want when planning a wedding). My husband and I have said so many times that we want to get married again just to have these guys come hang out and party with us again. If you're on the fence about whether or not you need a videographer - get off the fence and hire these guys. They are worth so much more than the actual cost of hiring them.

I'm not sure we'll ever fully find the words to express just how incredible Tedi and Evan are. They really are two of the most friendly, hilarious, talented, hilarious, easy-going and thoughtful people... and the work they do is PURE. MAGIC! We have probably watched our wedding video 1000 times since receiving it, and truly love it more and more with every view. All of the highlights were put together so thoughtfully, and we are still so blown away with just how "us" the video is. Between all of the fun, the laughs, the music, the touching words, and all of the little interactions captured between our best friends and family, Tedi and Evan NAILED IT. We also have to acknowledge the absolutely wonderful job The Picture and the Poet did filming the speeches, the ceremony and a number of surprise special bonus features. We were just so thrilled with every single minute of the videos, and cannot believe they are ours to look back on forever. In addition to to their amazing videography skills, we also appreciated how Evan and Tedi really took the time to get to know us and our "story" before the big day. We were a couple planning a Winnipeg wedding from Alberta, and prior to the wedding Tedi and Evan went out of their way just to meet us in Calgary while they were on their way back from a trip to Edmonton. Right from the minute we met them we know we had made the perfect choice. When it came time for the big day, we were so impressed with their professionalism, their ability to provide advice and reassurance when needed, as well as their helpfulness with all the little things that inevitably came up throughout the day (even making an emergency pit stop for Red Bulls for the wedding party!). Overall, Evan and Tedi went above and beyond. As a couple who really was not sold on the idea of getting videography initially, we can now easily say The Picture and the Poet probably ended up being the best decision we could have ever made. Not only do we feel so fortunate to have such special videos to look back on forever, but were also lucky to make a couple pretty special friends in the process too :) . We will forever be singing The Picture and the Poet's praises!

From our first meeting, they were instant friends, showing how much they value both you as a couple, your story, and the important aspects of your life. They come into your lives with a whirlwind of love, understanding and humor and you don't want to let them go! We got along with them wonderful, both during our sessions and other get togethers, our children and even our dogs love them! Not only do they do amazing work that has perfectly captured us, they have become friends who we value immensely! They take all of the concern about things being captured perfectly out of the equation and help you enjoy the planning. Evan makes the business side super easy to understand, Tedi brings the comfort and ease to the photos and together they become family! They are amazing!
