It's crazy to see Yuriko and Erik only has 5 reviews, as they are absolutely amazing! Vintage Origami has won MULTIPLE awards, and they are absolutely well deserved. If you're going with them, you've probably already seen her work on Instagram, so you know what you'll be getting from regarding the quality of the decor. However, it is everything else that further elevates them to a top level vendor. From the moment you meet them, you get a sense of warmth and genuine caring. They want to get to know who you are, and what you care about. They answered many questions along the way, always giving us the time that we need, and always with very warm and in depth answers. From a decor standpoint, Yuriko probed the type of style and wedding we want. As we didn't know exactly what we want, just a general mood, she used it to create and materialize what we cannot express. When she works with you, she doesn't show you exactly what you'll have until the actual day (she does communicate with mood boards and shows us bits and pieces along the way, so don't worry!), because she loves to surprise her guests. When we got to our reception, it was beyond what we could've dreamt of. Her vision and design was absolutely stunning. Every detail is taken into account: subtle things that we must've mentioned (without fully realizing we did), she had picked that up and addressed it; and of course, the decor was breathtaking. (And if you follow her on Insta, you'd also see how absolutely her dessert tables are!). On the planning side of things, she was also absolutely fantastic. We had lots of questions, and she always answered everything in kind words and in detail. Furthermore, she is extremely well connected in the community, and she makes fantastic suggestions. We had a multi-day event, and when we weren't sure what to do about certain aspects after we'd done our research, we'd ask her, and her suggestions were always better than anything we'd research. She bills herself NOT as a wedding planner, but she helps you so much with suggestions and directions that you forget that sometimes! (that said, she doesn't do the actual coordinating, thus I guess why she emphasizes that she is NOT a wedding planner. :) We cannot recommend her enough. We were initially a bit hesitant given her being higher priced than some of the other decorators we interviewed, but after our meeting, we just couldn't imagine choosing anyone else. And after the wedding, we were even more sure she was the right choice: we felt extremely lucky she was our decorator, as she didn't only do the decor, but helped us along the way, helping us make our wedding weekend even better than we dreamt.

Erik and Yuriko are amazing people to work with! I cannot recommend them enough. The way that they handled the intricate details of our wedding was incredible, and it's obvious that it comes naturally to them. You can tell that they have a true passion for people. They treat you like family and make you feel at ease. We were blown away by their service and will never stop recommending them.

Yuriko and Erik did such an amazing job at transforming our venue from a darker space into an airy, bright, and romantic setting! They have incorporated ALL of our visions into the space, and especially the cherry blossom trees with the hanging wedding favour! They have made our day so special and so full of surprises and happiness. Words can't describe how TRULY AMAZING AND TALENTED they are!

Yuriko and Erik are so talented. I always wanted an outdoor tent wedding but after some research we decided on a venue where I loved the ceremony site but was not totally in love with the reception room, besides a gorgeous view. They made the room more gorgeous then I ever could have imagined. Our videographer took a reaction video of us seeing the room for the first time and I can't wait to see that! I bet I looked like I was in complete shock. These two got to know my husband and I and brought our personalities into the venue. It was totally us and I can't say thank you enough. It was perfect. They are such a talented couple, they made our dreams come true!!!!

Yuriko is AMAZING at what she does! We used her for our wedding at Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, BC and she did such an amazing job. We were blown away at her creativity and how she included every small detail about our relationship into the decor. She's organized, keeps you updated and is able to handle small bumps in the road as they come up. She is worth every dollar!

Wow where to start! Yuriko and her team gave us the most beautiful wedding. From start to finish she went above and beyond to ensure I was fully taken care of and happy. This was a destination wedding for us, and Yuriko and her team were incredibly helpful, professional, creative and kind. We had a few out of the box ideas, and they went above and beyond to make them happen, setting up staging times and meetings with venue staff to work out creative solutions in order to make our dream wedding come to life.
