This Valentine's Day I had the pleasure of working with Vida Ceremonies at our first annual Kelowna4Love event at Sandhill Wines. It was a completely free event put on by a team of remarkable volunteer vendors, to host 17 elopement style weddings that included everything from hair and makeup, to photography, videography and wedding cupcakes! Sepideh co-created the event with Sue Cairnie Ceremonies and I, and being able to work with her in a team environment has been an uplifting and empowering opportunity that has changed my life. The event itself was something that I will always remember, but the professionalism, dedication and determination that Sepideh put into planning the event is bar none. She spent countless hours reaching out and organizing with vendors, to make sure every wedding that was performed that day exceeded every expectation anyone could have had. On the day of, Sepideh kept everything running smoothly, she made sure every vendor had what they needed, that every detail was taken care of, and that even in the quick time restraints of 20 minute ceremonies, that every couple felt like they had the perfect wedding of their dreams. The feedback from every couple was exceptional, and being able to watch Sepideh do what she loved was something that moved me. Her passion came across in each ceremony she performed, and she was often moved to tears as she become enveloped in every couple's vows. She put a lot of hard work into making sure that each couple's ceremony was personalized to them, including a bit of their stories, and I know the event wouldn't have been the same without her. I will absolutely be referring my future clients to her, and cannot wait to work with her during weddings, and hopefully during future event planning as well. I don’t even know where to begin. Sepideh literally saved our ceremony. My husband and I had someone lined up and to keep things short, it just didn’t work out. It was a week before our wedding and we had no one to marry us, I was nervous, sad and emotional. I put out a plea on Facebook to see if anyone would be able to help with such short notice, to my surprise she was available, I called her immediately and we chatted for some time, she was so sweet and wonderful, totally put my mind at ease and was willing to give my husband and I the ceremony we really wanted for our special day. She knew we wanted simple and to the point, as we had written our own vows. My husband and I had a call with her about 3 days before the wedding tsp she could get the feel for the both of us, within 20 minutes of our phone call she has written up a draft for what the ceremony would entail and it was PERFECT!!! She blew us away. The day came and it was everything we had imagined and she made it so simple and easy for us and the ceremony was exceptional, we had people commenting on how perfect it was. She really made our day special and I just want people to know how incredible she is, I would 100% recommend her and will be doing so going forward. Sepideh was fantastic as the officiant of small, intimate wedding in July. She was incredibly professional, well-spoken and easy to work with along the entire process. We decided pretty late in the game to have a rehearsal for the day before the wedding and she was able to accommodate us which was really awesome because I feel the rehearsal answered a lot of last-minute questions I was having as a first-time bride. I’m really thankful we had this time to go over everything (although there were also many points along the journey to connect with her and ask questions). We had the amazing privilege of having Sepideh as the officiant presiding over our ceremony. Due to some last minute issues, we had to find a new officiant about 3 weeks before our wedding, including one who could perform a Persian ceremony (as we had planned for a mixed traditional and Persian ceremony). Sepideh was absolutely lovely to work with! We were supposed to be married in Vancouver with entirely different plans, and when Covid 19 became a reality we had to cancel our plans and we thought for a while that we would post pone until next year. When we suddenly decided we wanted to go through with our plan to be married despite Covid 19, Sepideh was available to us on short notice and even accommodated the exact same date we had originally hoped for. The ceremony was beautiful, and despite not ever meeting us in person and only having had brief communications up to the day of the ceremony, she captured our relationship perfectly in the ceremony she prepared. Sepideh is the best officiant we have ever seen. She was very professional at the ceremony. Before our big day Sepideh took a lot of time to get to know us both and find the best words to describe us in our ceremony. She also made sure the ceremony is in both English and Persian so our english speaking guests don't feel left out and bored.
