If you are even considering Neil as a photographer, then there is no need to search any longer! He was our photographer for our 2014 wedding in Kelowna and we were blown away. We are not from the area so I was a little nervous hiring a photographer that I had never met before. To say the least, Neil exceeded all of our expectations! His direction and skill is one thing, but his unique artistic ability is another. From the very beginning he was very personable and a delight to work with. He captured every moment perfectly and took the time to shoot things that I would have never thought were important until afterwards. He made us feel at ease throughout the whole day including the bridal boudoir, the fun poses, and the intimate moments. He arrived first thing in the morning and didn't leave until it was over. He has an amazing sense of lighting and getting the right moments between people. I am so pleased with all of our images. I just can't say enough. Being a photographer myself his work is incredible and he doesn't charge as much as he certainly could for the quality of his work. It was affordable and amazingly beautiful. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and be around and he works very hard. I'm a perfectionist myself so I can see that in others...Neil is definitely trying to get that perfect shot every time. He's based out of out of Kelowna but we hired him to photograph our wedding in Golden. Because he hadn't taken pictures at our venue before he travelled there on his own time, without charging, to check out the area and find amazing locations for taking pictures. Neil goes above and beyond for his clients, and his photos are stunning. I cannot believe the amount of amazing pictures we received. It allows us to relive the day so well! We 100% recommend! And it won't be the last time he takes pictures for us, that's for sure!

Our experience was a little different as we eloped to Kelowna with our 2 year old daughter. We didn't have the getting ready or the reception, like a traditional wedding. Neil offered us a great rate and a slightly different package as we were wanting the ceremony photographed as well as some nice family shots. I was also pregnant at the time so it doubled as a maternity shoot. Neil was professional as was his assistant, he showed up on time and really delivered what we wanted. We felt at ease with him and like he knew exactly what he was doing. My husband is a photographer himself so he is usually a little more critical about these things but he was VERY satisfied. Neil was amazing to work with. During the day we went various times to Neil for advice, as we knew that he would know what works best for photos. For example: we ended up changing the direction our ceremony 180°, so the sun was not directly in our faces, which not just helped Neil to take phenomenal photos, but also kept us cooler on a warm day! Neil has an eye for the small details, as well as for the big picture. He is very organized, but didn’t leave any opportunity untouched to get a great photo. He will get his shoes wet, or will make you jump on his back, if this is what he needs to capture a special moment. We are so excited and cannot wait to get back the photos he took. From the moment we initially met Neil to see if he would be a good fit, he was incredibly generous and very professional. It was very apparent to us that he wasn’t just another person with a camera, masquerading as a photographer. Neil was amazingly helpful with finding locations for our engagement session as well as our wedding day photography (we live 8 hours away in Calgary!). He is incredibly skilled at interpreting the environment and surroundings and always seemed to have a vision of what he wanted to capture. That being said, he was flexible when it came to unplanned situations and was able to roll with the punches, which we really appreciated! Neil was amazing to work with and took great pictures. Both my wife and I live in Toronto but wanted to do a maternity shoot in Kelowna where my wife is from. Neil was accomodating and commuicated very well with us through email. When we arrived for the shoot and we brought props and made suggestions he was very open to them. Even when we arrived late he was very professional and understanding. His instructions were clear and all of the pictures turned out great. We got the first sample set of pictures within the same day! As soon as we paid the remaining amount we got the pictures almost immediately! For the price and quality of work, you will not find anyone better in the Okanagan. I will definately be using Neil in the future. Anyone needing a photographer for weddings, maternity pics, parties etc. I would definately call Neil first.

While looking for a wedding photographer we came across Neil Slattery, we were immediately blown away by what we saw and didn't hesitate to hire Neil as our photographer. It was one of the best decisions we made, only second to saying I do! Neil went above and beyond, he traveled (with Ragi, the amazing second photographer) from Kelowna to Vancouver the day before the wedding and spent much of that day touring our venues in order to plan the perfect shots and to ensure that the day ran as smoothly as possible. On the big day Neil arrived bright and early to begin shooting, he tirelessly worked throughout the day and well into the evening, following the specifics that I had requested, but also giving his (much appreciated) advice. The final product was nothing short of jaw dropping. The photographs that Neil took looked as though they were out of a gorgeous bridal magazine, Neil was able to capture every special moment of the day without being intrusive. The photos were even more magical than I had pictured in my mind. I plan to hire Neil again for all future events, as will everyone that attended my wedding. Neil made my dream wedding a reality, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who would like the most important moments of their lives captured in the most exquisite way possible. This review is long overdue but still well deserved. Neil was the photographer of choice for my fiance' after searching the Kelowna market for the best one that would work well with us from a distance. He did not disappoint! Throughout the planning process and right up until we arrived in Kelowna for the wedding he was always responsive and helpful. He joined us for a walk through and rehearsals at our venue the day before and guided us through the plan for the day of. The morning of the wedding the sky darkened and the rain clouds rolled in. Undaunted Neil set up our "first look" shots on the roof of the hotel we were staying and indulged our goofiness with some "run away" groom pics afterwards and got them all in before the deluge started. The outdoor ceremony was a wet one but despite that Neil and his assistant managed to get some absolutely amazing shots of it all from multiple angles leaving us with some of the best memories of our big day. Thank you again Neil for a fantastic job on our wedding photos and helping preserve the memories of that great day!
