We knew, the moment we sat down with Jeff, that we had picked the perfect Dj/Mc for our wedding. It was a no brainer! One of the best decisions we made. Jeff has a way of making you feel comfortable from the get-go. He walked us through all the details of our ceremony, reception and everything in between. We spent over two hours with him and it felt like we were asking our best friend to be our Dj. I remember telling to Brian ''He gets us, eh!'' because that's the truth! You can really tell that he has years of experience and on the things, he's not familiar with he does his research. Jeff really understood what we wanted out of our wedding day and he delivered. Our guests have been messaging us and telling us how great of a night it was. From the games to the music selection to the timing of everything, it was a perfect day and we can't thank Jeff enough. He's more than a Dj for us, he's now a friend and we highly recommend him!

DJ Haymaker is the best DJ in British Columbia. Full stop. We were recommended DJ Haymaker from some of our friends who had amazing things to say, and he exceeded all of our high expectations. We had postponed our initial wedding date due to the global pandemic, and DJ Haymaker was so easy to work with and accommodating. In terms of our wedding itself, Jeff was a true professional in every sense. The sound cues were perfect, and the party was one that people will be talking about for years - all thanks to DJ Haymaker. Our guest's feedback was exceptional and we would highly recommend DJ Haymaker's services. Not only was DJ Haymaker "the best DJ" our guests have ever seen (according to multiple guests), but he also went above and beyond to make our day special. In addition to keeping everybody on the dance floor, and incorporating some fun ice breaker games, DJ Haymaker went the extra mile when he followed our last shuttle back to the hotel in his vehicle after a couple guests had forgotten some items at the venue. Further, DJ Haymaker also worked with our parents and our Emcee to provide them with a projector and screen (without our knowledge) so they could incorporate video into their speeches. When it's all said and done, I would highly recommend DJ Haymaker to anybody and everybody looking for a vendor who will not only keep the party going, but also a vendor that will ensure everything goes off without a hitch.

When Sherri & I were planning our wedding, we debated on whether we would hire a band, DJ or do the music by ourselves and just rent speakers and sound equipment. Let’s face it – weddings are expensive and we were trying to keep costs in line. With Spotify, Tidal and other music services, we thought how hard could it be to do the music ourselves & ‘just’ create a playlist with our favorite tunes? Boy were we wrong! DJ Haymaker (Jeff) made our wedding. Plain and simple! The actual music – although awesome – was perhaps the smallest contribution. No disrespect – it was truly great, however, everything else he did is what made our day truly special & memorable. Anyone can ‘just’ play music. He is the ultimate wedding host. He is part wedding planner, superb emcee, host, comedian, creative inspiration, marriage counselor (kidding, but true!) He has so much experience doing weddings and incredible events, he knows what works, what doesn’t and is truly a perfect ‘master of ceremony’. Jeff got to know our guests, (we had pre-meetings, he gave us homework to be completed) – he used this detailed information on guests to make guests feel welcome, get them to know each other, helped us with wedding vows, use of humor, suggestions on making our day unique (individualized) and not feeling part of a wedding factory. He created fun by telling interesting stories about guests or playing ‘the newlywed game’ or other ‘surprises’ in order to get the guests having fun quickly, and engaged early – truly awesome. Of course he is a musical wizard as well – helping us with tough decisions on music selection for key moments (aisle, signing, first dance), to suggestions on how to make our day special. He truly hosted & emceed the evening – and you might think that duty should go to a family member. It shouldn’t. Let the family members do their speeches (Jeff will review and coach them if asked to make sure they are appropriate and in the spirit of the occasion) and let a professional handle everything else. Jeff worked with our Justice of the Peace, Hotel Wedding Planner and Photographer to ensure everything, everyone did was seamless and not siloes – each part of our day transitioned perfectly. Jeff was ‘looking out for us’ from pre-ceremony though to ‘Last Dance’. We had such a great day. Sherri said it was the ‘best day of her life’. I’d like to say it was the groom! But Jeff gets some credit as well.

DJ Haymaker was phenomenal in every way possible; from the pre-wedding meetings to the ceremony and of course the reception and dance. Jeff has a way of making you feel like he's 'got you covered'; I don't know how this was possible but we always felt that Jeff would be there for us and make the day that much more special, and he did! Jeff had the perfect kind of music playing before the ceremony and somehow magically faded to and from the songs we wanted during the precessional. Jeff was not only our DJ but also our MC/coordinator and every part of the wedding started and ended with ease with no worry from us. He managed to squeeze all the introductions, speeches, dinner, dances, surprises and fun into the short window we gave him - all with every single person there having a blast from start to finish. We did in fact, have many people come up to us to say this was the best wedding they've ever been too and a lot of people asking 'where did you find this DJ!?!?' - we believe that says it all. Jeff did a terrific job as our MC/DJ for our wedding. He is incredibly personable and outgoing, but doesn’t come across too strongly like a lot of extroverted types often do. He was incredibly knowledgeable in music tastes and options, which of course you’d expect from a DJ, but he really went above and beyond by offering recommendation lists for certain songs during the ceremony/reception, having games ready for both the cocktail hour and the reception, and really getting the attendees engaged in all parts of the reception with his high-energy presentation style. We didn’t really “vet” any of the the work that he did - we met with him a few times, he came prepared with questions and asked us details about our families and wedding parties, and when the day came around, he just showed up and rocked it; it was like he knew everyone in the room, even though he had never met any of them before. He also went out of his way to check in with us, both a day or two before the wedding and during the day, to make sure that we were feeling good about everything. He managed to appeal to everyone at our wedding, from people in their teens to their mid 80’s. He’s definitely not cheap compared to others in the DJ category, but you have to keep in mind that you’re getting SO much more than someone who just shows up and, well, tries their best to play music that doesn’t suck. It was really amazing to see him work and we don’t think we could have spent the money any better.

I, myself had the best day imaginable, but for my guests, they too, absolutely enjoyed themselves and can't stop telling us how great of night they had. The best money we spent on our wedding was easily having Jeff as our DJ. We knew after seeing him at our friends weddings that we HAD to have him! From the very start, we knew we were in good hands - his experience helped us through so many important decisions...including what songs we were going to walk down to. He even helped by meeting with us and our JP to make other very memorable decisions about the ceremony. Then came the reception...one of my favourite parts was the introductions to our wedding party - he took the information we gave him and had everyone in the place laughing until they had tears in their eyes. The games! Oh the games. Exactly what I had hoped for! He knew exactly how to draw out the crazy in our crowd. So many laughs! And of course the dancing...I have NEVER seen a dance floor completely full for an entire wedding reception. He did that. He knew how important the dancing was to me and he played EVERY song I could have asked for...sometimes twice if we asked! haha! He even took video clips throughout the night that I know we will cherish forever. So much more than just a DJ...he's an MC...an entertainer...a comedian...and by the end of the night...practically family. He MADE our reception what it was...a night we won't soon forget. Absolutely wow! I have to say right from the beginning of wedding planning to dancing the night away our experience with Jeff and Jennifer was a breeze! We are from out of town and were worried about not being able to meet before booking however, Jeff put a nice personal touch right from the get go in setting up a phone date to really get to know us. Throughout the planning process both Jeff and Jennifer were 100% present, I never waited more than 24hrs for a response if it wasn't immediate. Jeff asked all the right questions to get to know our guests and what type of music, games and interaction would keep the party going all night long. The day of went off without a hitch. From our wedding music to bridal party introductions and then dancing into the wee hours of the night Jeff coordinated perfectly with our Emcee's to figure out the perfect combination. We had many people chatting afterwards about how much they learned about us when Jeff did a how well do you know the bride/groom game to get the dinner service started. His upbeat, fun yet professional personality made our guest feel comfortable and really got the party started during dinner! Song after song people danced at the night away. We don't ever remember a moment when the dance floor was empty and people raved all night about how perfect the music was. Our guests also mentioned to us that they've been to multiple weddings in the last year and ours was by far the funnest and most memorable. Jeff (DJ Haymaker) was our wedding DJ/emcee on September 7, 2019. He was incredible to work with from start to finish. As a bride, the weeks leading up to the wedding can be stressful, but Jeff made an effort to check in with me on a regular basis to ensure I was feeling alright, and things were coming together. As far as the party itself, Jeff can really read a crowd. The dance floor was packed all night long, and if it wasn’t, a quick song change had it full again momentarily. His games, and sense of humor keep the flow of the evening moving smoothly all night long. 100% worth every penny we spent, my guests are still complimenting me on my choice of DJ, and I have been told MULTIPLE times that my wedding was the best my guests have ever attended. What can we say - Jeff was everything we could ask for, and more! When we first met Jeff, he described himself as an entertainment coordinator, and that's what he was! He was our DJ for our wedding, our MC for the reception, and above all, he really was our entertainment coordinator for our wedding day! Jeff was there for us from the very beginning. We first came across Jeff's services from a friend who had attended a wedding he put on, and heard such amazing things! When we first called him up, he was absolutely great. He gave us so much assurance from the very first call, asking us tons of questions, giving us tons of suggestions, and was very comfortable and had a lot of experience incorporating our two cultures - Chinese and Pakistani - into our wedding day. We were extremely impressed with our initial phone call with him, and even more impressed after meeting him in person to go through the details of our wedding day. When it came to the actual day, Jeff was on top of his game. He was great in checking in on us, to make sure our day was flowing as planned. His ability to captivate a crowd is absolutely remarkable. He was our MC for the night, and ensured our guests were enjoying their time - incorporating fun facts about the wedding party, and various games. He gave us so much peace of mind during the reception, guiding the night's events, including our many outfit changes. But let's get to the actual party! The dance floor was packed! Jeff has an ability to keep the dance floor going, feeling the crowd for what songs will keep the party going. It was quite amazing! One of the biggest comments we would get from our wedding guests after the event was "Your MC/DJ was amazing!!" He left such an amazing impression on our wedding guests, and us. Getting a great DJ was very important to us for our wedding, we got that and so much more with Jeff! He did a phenomenal job as our emcee as well as helping us plan our timeline and music and essentially being our day of coordinator. Every conversation we had with him prior to the wedding made us feel at ease and all of the things we were “stressing” about were no big deal. Jeff went over and above our expectations by attending our rehearsal the morning before bringing music so we were sure we had the right songs picked for the ceremony. We thought about hiring a day of coordinator but after speaking with Jeff about it decided not to. It’s hard to express how great he was on the wedding day; he was there early to set up and text messaging both of us to see if we needed anything. Throughout the day he was always making sure the day was flowing as planned and that we weren’t getting too overwhelmed. We felt that he was truly there for us! The days after the wedding we’ve received many compliments from our guests about how much fun everyone had. The games Jeff had planned were a huge hit with our crowd, they really broke the ice and had every person engaged and enjoying themselves. The dance floor was packed all night, he really did a great job reading the crowd. No one wanted the party to end! Jeff will tell you he’s typically more expensive than most DJ’s and we will tell you he’s worth every penny! I originally hired Jeff because I didn’t want to worry about music during the ceremony and reception – but I got so much more than what I bargained for! Jeff was incredibly friendly, professional and organized, and made our ceremony and reception a very personalized, fun and meaningful event that I know I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish on my own. Personalized Ceremony & Reception - Jeff offered a consultation so that we could figure out the timeline for the day and decide which songs we wanted to have played during key moments. We had a few songs we knew we needed for sure, and Jeff helped us pick all of the other songs by offering suggestions and playing them for us. Knowing how much we loved the song “Come on Eileen” (we had it play as we walked down the aisle for the first time as “husband and wife”), he played it one more time at the very end of our reception. It made for an unreal finale, with guests jumping, dancing and hugging. Jeff was also very willing to take guests song requests, which led to some hilarious and memorable songs and dance-offs. Useful ideas & games - I can’t stress this enough – Jeff had all kinds of useful suggestions, ideas and games that made the wedding flow seamlessly and kept everyone laughing and having a great time. Whether it was his icebreakers, his recommendation to go outside during the sunset for photos (wow!) or his incredible games… we loved every moment. Organized - When we arrived, Jeff was set up. When we had a question, Jeff had an answer. When the bridal party was getting ready to enter for the reception, he was there, offering recommendations for where and when we should arrive – plus totally willing to change our entrance song to be the Imperial March at the very last minute… Jeff made our wedding the wonderful, happy memory that it is today. The way the day flowed, the amount the guests laughed and the way we partied right until the very end was testament to how much he cared.

Without a doubt I would book Jeff again. We were a bit hesitant when booking the package if we needed everything he offered but he was able to exceed our expectations. He was very thorough and was able to run us through everything the day before our wedding. I had my brother MC but ultimately his success was led through Jeff. Jeff is one of those people who goes above and beyond! We we're so thrilled at his work during our wedding at Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, BC. He was our DJ and MC and he did an amazing job. Almost a month later and people still message me saying how he made the night - that's the guy you want DJ'ing and MC'ing your wedding. He's so much more than a DJ though - he counselled us throughout some frustrating moments with vendors, he stepped up and helped us during the rehearsal and day of when our wedding coordinator fell very short. My husband and I did not originally plan on adding a DJ service to the budget for our wedding this summer. We, mistakenly, thought that our day would “do” with an iPod; we assumed someone would take on the role of MC; and we hoped that family would help us coordinate last minute things on the day of. He had charisma, he was funny and fun (yes, we could tell that on the phone), he was caring and incredibly considerate of our wants, needs and limits. A few weeks before the wedding when my husband and I finally met Jeff in person, we were both beyond stressed. Life was overwhelming us, planning was drowning us and we were both ready for it all to “just be over”… One of the first things Jeff asked us was how we were feeling, and when we told him, rather honestly, how we felt, he nodded in understanding and asked questions in concern. He told us, “by the time we’re done talking today, I promise you will feel 10x, if not more, better then you do just now…” He was right. From that moment on and right up until the last hours of our wedding reception, he was right. Jeff has this incredible talent for what he does. Not only is he the epitome of professional; but he is outgoing, trustworthy, creative with his games (you HAVE to play the group games he does), funny, an excellent MC, a fabulous day-of coordinator, and an all around good guy, but he made possible a wedding that we both felt like we had been waiting for, for a very long time. During the crazy time that is covid and the daily restriction changes, planning our Fall 2021 wedding was overwhelming to say the least. Jeff put us at ease and guaranteed us our wedding would be one to remember no matter how many could come and/or what restrictions were in place, and he sure did deliver! It’s no lie when people say that the DJ makes or breaks the party – and all we can say is that our guests remained on the dance floor until the lights came on and they were kicked out of the venue. We should started by mentioning we had a very long & very Indian Wedding for which we couldn’t have picked a better DJ/MC combo. Jeff went above and beyond the scope of a DJ both in our year-long planning process and on the day of our wedding-- he was on site creating the perfect atmosphere with his extensive knowledge of music for every traditional aspect of our big day from first thing in the morning well into the wee hours of the night. Where to start? Being an Alberta couple in the very early stages of planning our dream Okanagan wedding, we were really going into the whole process blind. We found DJ Haymaker through a vendors list, and got a good vibe from his website. We followed that up with a phone call, after which we were pretty confident he was going to be our DJ. With a bit of email correspondence, we made our way down to Kelowna, and set up a meet and greet with Jeff at a coffee shop of our choice. We managed to score DJ Jeff Haymaker for our wedding this summer when our booked DJ was unavailable following our date changes. I am still speechless regarding what an incredible job he did both as our MC and DJ, but I will do my best to put it into words. We received incredible feedback from all our guests both on the night of, and months later. We shared with him our goal of “the most fun/best wedding ever” – and he managed to make that happen. To start, he may be a professional DJ and MC, however, he should add wedding planner to his title as he was extremely helpful in this regard. He basically did everything but hold our hand along the way. He provided so many tips and tricks for us to keep in mind and checked in with us regularly on how things were going. Due to the pandemic we had to be a bit creative regarding dancing/a dance floor, however he was very helpful and accommodating and even advocated for us as best he could with unique ideas. His ability to read our guests, and bridal party and make jokes/introductions on the fly was something we will never forget. He managed to take both my spouse and my music recommendations and create the most incredible, fun, and smooth playlist that resulted in a packed dance floor. Jeff took our ideas and made them a reality; he made a huge impact on our day. I would recommend Jeff time and time again; you will not be disappointed. We both truly feel as though we left our wedding with a new friend, he is such an amazing human being, and great at what he does!!!!

When we heard through the grapevine that DJ Haymaker was the DJ we "had to have" for our wedding, we had no idea how true these statements would end up being. Jeff Hay genuinely made our wedding day the day we always hoped it would be; fun, organized, and incredibly memorable. We are Indian and we had a Sikh ceremony in August 2015 in Kelowna, BC. Good dancing music that an Indian wedding has to have was ESSENTIAL to us. DJ Jeff was our man. He listened to all our requests about bhangra, bollywood, MCing, and made vital suggestions to boot (he advised our floor plan as we did our reception at the groom's residence so where we pointed our speakers was very important, he offered us amazing microphones for our MCs to use, introduced our MCs, came out to meet us before we made our reception entrance and carried my purse in for me so I could come in hands free!) He came in earlier to set up, brought his own everything - table, equipment, did not ask for a THING...completely stress free! He took requests all night with a smile on his face and had the dance floor going the whole time. We ended the night not because things had died down, but instead, with one last song with all of us on there together - EXACTLY what I wanted. He played a mix of bhangra, fusion, bollywood, and western seamlessly so we had all ages of our guests catered to. I could not ask for a better night. If I needed a DJ that is more than a DJ, who will listen, take requests, know his music (even if that means he has to go through the playlists you put together), play it well, have an excellent sound system, and do it all with a smile then I would not look any further. Just call him, I did and it was perfect!

Having been to dozens of weddings, we know that a good DJ can make or break the dancing portion. So, we wanted to hire someone who will be amazing at it. We interviewed a few different DJ's in Kelowna, and DJ Haymaker (Jeff) was by far the best of them. He genuinely cared about us as a couple and our wants for our wedding, and he is extremely passionate in what he does. The best part? Beyond the DJ portion, we also hired him for the MC portion. And my god, that was such a good decision. He was with use along the wedding planning. With his vast experience, he was able to point out things that we didn't think of: different entrance music, how we'd enter, how the timing flow should go. As well, he cared about the music he played to make sure some of our Quebecois guest got the right music. During the day of, he also ended up acting as our very, very competent time keeper/coordinator as well. He helped us manage timing (where we can gain time as some activities got longer), and helped field questions as needed. Of course, this was even smoother as he was MC, and able to really control the timing! Then, onto the games he planned. We wanted games that are fun, and not the same as every wedding. He had twists on classics (shoe game: it's very fun the way he does it), lots of audience participation, and even did a Family Feud style game for us! For the dancing portion, the dance floor was FULL the entire time. He read the crowd amazingly. My wife wanted to have a lot of Celine Dion. Somehow, Jeff was able to work that in, and somehow, the dance floor stayed packed for 4 Celine Dion songs IN A ROW. Only someone who can really read the audience can do that! After the wedding, we had MULTIPLE guests come to us and compliment on the DJ specifically. I don't think I've ever gone to a wedding where I wanted to compliment the DJ, so having guests do that was incredible. Overall, we are super happy we had DJ Haymaker for our wedding. He really made the day go well! (He is a bit pricier, but absolutely worth it!)

Weddings are stressful and the day-of can be that way as well. I'm not gonna lie, we totally thought we'd be a little frantic about what time it was, where we needed to be, and what was coming next. But with Jeff there, doing his thing, our stress level quickly went down to zero. He's got you covered! You can kick back, relax and finally take part in enjoying the great time you've spent so long planning! Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect thanks in large part to Jeff Hay. I can not say enough good things about DJ Haymaker. His website states "Professional DJ & MC" and I don't think I could describe it better myself as he truly is a professional. From the moment I had called to book him, he was so helpful, easy to talk with & personable. I originally had my wedding planned for 2017 however with Cedar Creek renovations, I had to bump up my wedding and my biggest concern was Jeff wouldn't be available. He switched some things around in his life and ensured he would be available which was the best news to my husband and I. Once we had booked him, we immediately received an e-mail with 2 booklets of questions about my husband and I, how we meet, our bridal party, our wedding and much more. It was so fun to fill out and knowing that he wanted to learn all of this about us before the wedding made me so excited/happy to have him there! When we came to Kelowna a couple months before the wedding, Jeff made it his priority to meet with us. We spent an hour going through wedding day details, the booklets and any questions we had. This made us feel even more assured of how good he is at his job and that hiring him would make our day just that much better. Jeff is more than just the DJ as he interacts with the guests, MC's & even wedding coordinates. He provided our vendors with information, instructed people where they had to be, provided advice throughout the day as well as created our wedding day timeline. I had a special surprise for my husband (a cardboard cut out of Tom Brady) that I needed to have in Kelowna without my husband knowing, Jeff encouraged me to send the cutout to his house which was a huge help! We decided to have Jeff at our ceremony along with our reception. Having him there for the ceremony was great as he played all of our requests (groomsmen walk, groom entrance, bridesmaids entrance, bride entrance, signing paper etc.), provided the mics and kept the timeline of the day running smoothly. The reception confirmed everything we already knew. Jeff co-MCd with my step dad which provided my step dad time to enjoy the reception. He had lots of fun games & ways to make our guests feel like they knew each other before the dance. Come the dance, Jeff pulls out a trunk full of the craziest hats I have ever seen, which was a HUGE hit to our guests! Every single song had the dance floor packed with our guests dancing!!The biggest compliment we have heard about the wedding was how amazing DJ Haymaker was and that it was the funnest wedding they have ever been to! When Chris and I first started planning our wedding it was overwhelming. We were given all these dates to choose from and all these vendors who you don't know a thing about until you review review review on Google. Very time consuming. Since Chris and I lived in Calgary and our wedding was in Kelowna making decisions was even more difficult, that feeling you will make the wrong choice was in the air. Jeff wasn't the first DJ we spoke with but he was the only one we considered. Jeff really stood out to us because he wanted to get to know us. From the first correspondence we had to our first face to face meet and greet. He wanted to know everything. Our likes and dislikes, all of our silly quirks, and of course everything about our family and friends involved. The planning forms he uses seem overwhelming at first. Trust me you must fill them out as detailed as possible if you want to laugh until you cry at your wedding. Chris and I were worried about how both families would come together and party it up on our special day. Jeff had these amazing little tips and tricks. He also had these hilarious surprise games that blew us all away with laughter and fun. I have known some people for years and have never seen them dance like they did the night of my wedding. He really knows how to open people up and make everyone feel welcomed and involved. My family could not believe that Jeff wasn't a part of the family he has such a warm genuine tone to everything he does. It became more apparent as the planning process went on that Jeff is the go to guy for absolutely any questions you may have about your wedding. Don't be shy. When he didn't know answers he asked other wedding vendors. He made our lives so much easier from planning to our wedding day running flawlessly without a single second of boredom. Jeff is not just a DJ, he was an entertainer, a super organizer, and a wedding consultant guru to us. It was a bonus he played great music too, even our grandparents loved it! Having Jeff at our wedding was the best decision we made. We wanted to host an event that was classy, FUN, and well organized, and he played a role in allowing us to host exactly that. From having someone watching the time and leading us through the day and night, to having one of the most rocking parties on the dance floor, it was absolutely the best day of our lives. We had trouble coming up with words for a review, because there isn't enough space to describe just how awesome Jeff Hay is! Jeff is more than a DJ, I swear he's also part wedding planner (and a friend during the hectic process). He helped us pick out songs that would work well together and transition smoothly, and he helped set the timeline for our wedding. His planning help was great, but nothing compared to his day-of services. Jeff made sure that we followed a timeline, he kept people entertained (even when we were running 45 min late and it started raining), ensured our guests knew where to go and what was going on, and he definitely kept the bridal party calm and organized. Jeff did everything -he helped organize other vendors, helped get everything set up for the reception, and made the transition from ceremony to reception so easy. He was also our MC, and he had the entire room laughing and my bridal party was almost in tears from laughter. Everything from his introductions to the games he played were fantastic. He is 100% an entertainer (not just a DJ), and I'm so unbelievably glad he was our MC/DJ. I can't imagine it would have been as perfect as it was without Jeff. And of course his music is amazing! Jeff played the songs we wanted, took requests, and he is so experienced he just knew what music to play to keep people on the dance floor. There wasn't a single time that the dance floor was empty all night! It's been almost 6 months, and we still have friends and family saying that our DJ was amazing and people wanting to know where we found Jeff. Our guests could not stop raving about Jeff and how he topped off the already amazing day. When we first started planning our wedding the top three important things were our officiant, entertainment and food. We were to spare no expense. We were referred to Jeff through friends ours that had either used him for their own wedding or had attending one of the events he hosted. We were assured that we wouldn't be disappointed. After chatting on the phone and emailing back and forth we finally got the opportunity to meet up in person. After that we had no doubt that he was going to be worth every penny we had to spend. This guy is so unreal at his job I don't know how any else in the industry keeps up. DJ Haymaker made our wedding, during the year before our wedding we asked him a ton of questions as we needed help with many different things. He gave us lots of awesome ideas such as doing pictures before the ceremony, which by the way was the best idea ever! It keeps everything flowing without any gaps between the ceremony and the reception, and after the ceremony you can have some time to talk with the guests and have a glass of wine! A few days before the wedding we met him for coffee and went over everything to do with the wedding which was a huge stress reliever. He gave us some great ideas in regards to changing some things at the reception which we feel really made a huge difference. For the ceremony at Cedar Creek Estate Winery he helped choose all the different songs for us walking down the isle and made some suggestions that we would have never thought of that really set the mood for the ceremony right from the start. He also was the MC for the whole wedding and kept everything rolling smoothly on time, he has the ability to read the crowd and kept everyone entertained all night! The dance floor was going all night and there was never any gaps when the floor was empty, I couldn't believe almost half the guests were partying with us until 1am! We hired Jeff to be our wedding MC and DJ for our July 12th, 2015 wedding at Cedar Creek and the Eldorado in Kelowna. I had seen Jeff perform at two other wedding previously – my maid of honours and my brothers – and I knew I had to have him for my wedding when that day eventually came. He was so important that we didn’t even confirm the venues until we were sure that we could have Jeff as our MC/DJ! Any wedding that Jeff is a part of is “The Best Wedding EVER!” and ours was no exception. Jeff takes the time to learn about his couples, their family, friends, and wedding party. From the very beginning I knew that we were in good hands. Jeff is so much more than just an MC/DJ – he is also so important on the actual day in ensuring everything runs smoothly. At the ceremony, he helps to ensure people know when and where to walk, he kept the guests informed as to when they needed to move to the reception venue, and ensured that everything at the reception ran smoothly. My husband and I got married July, 1st 2016 at the Eldorado in Kelowna . We picked Jeff to be our DJ pretty early on because he had done my brother and sister in laws wedding 3 years prior and definitely left a lasting impression so I didn't feel it was really an option to try anyone else. We are also not from Kelowna we are from Slave Lake, AB and I found Jeff made it really simple and easy for me to deal with long distance. Now as per our wedding he was absolutely amazing. We met a couple days before with Jeff as well as our MC and we all hit it off! The meeting with Jeff got us super exited for the big day. There was one small issue with a song I had picked as it had some talking in the version I had wanted which apparently was not very easy to find so Jeff confirmed with me if it was something I had wanted for sure or not and I assured him it was. I did not have to fret for long about it as Jeff apparently got to work quickly because hours later I had gotten a text assuring me he had found the one I wanted, not that I had any doubts he wouldn't. Jeff is one of those people that right off the get go you just feel like you know he will always pull through. Now to the big day! For our ceremony, I know most brides or grooms say they just "saw the person" didn't know or hear what else was going on, well I am not that bride haha. Music is just one of those things that makes a moment for me and Jeff pulled it off perfectly. I never once heard a pause when a song should be starting, no breaking up in the music, he actually even managed to look like a happy guest in the background on some of the pictures our guests had snuck which was totally fun because it is a lot nicer then just being like "oh there is the DJ in the background just doing his job and doesn't care about the wedding." which for me is going above and beyond. Also one thing that I didn't expect was Jeff had actually suggested a photo he had seen done at our wedding location to do with all of our guests and honestly I am so glad he suggested it because I wouldn't have even thought of it and now we have a photo of all of our guests who attended the wedding which normally people do not get to have! On to the reception, now I must say our MC got along great with Jeff which doesn't surprise me because well he is super easy going but their communication made the night amazing everything fell together perfectly and their games were definitely a fan favorite. One of the games we played Jeff had done at the wedding we attended years prior and I was a bit worried a lot of the guests would say " Oh we did this before blah blah" nope he changed it up just enough that they had a complete blast and are still 28 days later talking about how hilarious it was. One thing for me though that was most memorable was his ability to remember guests names and faces. We had a lot of guests comment on the fact that he did this and when he announced the guests song he would give a little fun speech about them and the song he was playing for them which really made it feel like he knew everyone from my family personally and like he was a part of the wedding, not just as the DJ but as a friend or family. Even throwing in some funny jokes about some of my crazy families dance moves or song choices which made everyone crack up including that guest themselves. I honestly couldn't have picked a better DJ and judging by the guests comments about how amazing he was I don't think they think I could have picked a better DJ. We got married on September 1st, 2017 in Kelowna, and our wedding was amazing! It went off without a hitch, and a large part was due to Jeff. Having an amazing DJ was so important to us, and picking the best was a no brainer. We found Jeff on weddingwire.ca and his reviews were off the charts, so expectations were high. We were also planning our wedding by ourselves from Vancouver, without any help from a wedding planner, and Jeff was instrumental helping us plan our day, and not just the music. He made himself available for phone calls often in the months leading up to the wedding to help us plan, and to get to know us. Jeff also knew many of our vendors, and they knew him - The reputation Jeff has in the Okanagen is amazing, as many of our vendors were incredibly complementary of Jeff, and were excited that we booked him. In the days leading up to our wedding day, Jeff made sure we were all aligned on music, schedule, and just really helped calm our nerves. He provided music for our ceremony at the church, and the reception, and was able to fulfill all our requests. We also had a good friend of ours MC our wedding, and Jeff worked really well with him. Their chemistry was amazing, and everyone thought they knew each other for decades. When it came to get the party started, Jeff knew exactly how to get people excited with entertainment that involved everyone. The costumes and games were on point and super fun and everyone was laughing hysterically. Then it was was time to open up the dance floor.... he played all our requests at the perfect time and kept the energy going until 1am. After our wedding, many of our closest friends and family kept saying how amazing our DJ was, and that if we knew him, and if he was part of our circle of friends. We did not meet DJ Haymaker in person until the day before our wedding, as we live in Toronto. We had two phone calls, and a few emails back and forth. We had no reservations that DJ Haymaker wasn't able to pull it all off. He kept us informed throughout the entire day and we kept right on schedule. Despite our wedding being the first event that Jeff had at our venue, he worked with us and our venue manager to organize a flawless day. He made sure he arrived with plenty of time to be set up and to help us with anything we needed. Jeff gave us a sense of calm. When he says "don't worry about anything, leave it to me"... he means it and you can trust that things will be perfect. Our guests were a little slow to start with the party but Jeff read the crowd perfectly and by the end of the night everyone at the wedding had been on the dance floor throughout the night. Jeff also had some great suggestions for some very memorable moments to make the day as personal and special as it was fun. Everybody had something positive to say the next day... and we heard more than once that he was the best entertainer that people had seen. One of our groomsmen even tried to book Jeff for his wedding in the future... he's not even engaged! WHAT A PARTY!!! I am always leery about online ratings and testimonials... especially when they're all positive, but after working with Jeff, I believe all of them and feel very privileged to have had him as our entertainer / MC. Jeff is AMAZING!!! I first saw him at a wedding years ago and I used to try and book him every year for 3 years in a row for my corporate party but he was always booked. When I got engaged I booked my venue and then contacted Jeff right away and booked him as fast as I could! I had high expectations and he exceeded all of them!! He put in effort to get to know us and our wedding party, coordinated the timeline of our day and made sure it went so smoothly, bringing lawn games and projector equipment, being our MC and organizing the most hilarious games and kept the dance floor packed all night. I sent him a few Croatian songs to play and he did some of his own research and found other Croatian hits that blew my Croatian guests away. Honestly. This was our best decision in regards to the wedding. He did all the planning and coordination with decor, caterers, officiant and the facilities. It made everything so smooth. We also had a weird request to show a couple music videos I made when I was a kid with my brother and friends! He was able to play those along with a new one we did as adults before the wedding. It was great how he planned everything out so perfectly. Had a set schedule for the reception but times are never gaurenteed with weddings. So he was able to go with the flow while making sure we didn’t miss anything on the agenda! Then the music selection and the games were awesome. The games...everyone was laughing. It was so fun and funny! Very different for sure. The music...mixing Music for Punjabi and Portuguese people isn’t the easiest thing to do. But he pulled it off. Everyone was dancing all night. Even had a dance off! Was truly the best night of our life’s. We owe a lot of it to Jeff for sure! We both have a lot of family who have been to a lot of weddings. They all have said that it was one of the best weddings if not the best wedding they’ve been too. Thank you so much Jeff! Anyone who wants the best wedding...get Jeff to do it for you! He’s awesome.

We haven't laughed, danced or cried that much in a long time and it was all because of Jeff. He is phenomenal at what he does ... and that is an understatement. We wanted a party, not just a "good time", we wanted to throw the best one our guests had ever been to and we DID. Jeff was so comfortable to be around, he took the time to know us and he really personalized our day to make us feel special. Since day one he had ideas and suggestions on what to do and what not to do, and as a first time wedding planner (and only time - I hope :P), I found that so valuable. He is so genuine and all our guests loved him. He connected with everyone and made sure that all our guests connected with each other - so important when there's a room full of people who don't necessarily know each other. The games we played were hilarious and he had everyone in stitches. He just lit up the whole room! Biggest part to a great party is the music, and boy were we all sweaty from rockin' out on the dance floor. We had 154 guests ranging in age from newborn to 85 and not a single person in the room wasn't singing along to the songs he played, well maybe the newborn, but my point is that the variety of music he played was amazing. We didn't provide a big list of songs, maybe 7 or 8 in total, but it was like he could read our minds and knew what we wanted him to play and when. He played one of my all time favourite songs and I didn't even have it on the list, request it, or even mention it ... he is just THAT good. Every song that was requested, he played. If he didn't have a song, he found it, and all our guests keep saying that Jeff was the "best wedding DJ they've seen". We had a little bit of family drama towards the end of our wedding but Jeff brought so much positivity to the situation and made it his goal to make sure it wasn't the last thing my husband and I remember about our big day, and it isn't. It is hard to put in to writing how much we appreciated having Jeff there not only on our big day but the months leading up to it. I would recommend Jeff over and over again. Jeff, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. It would not have been the same if we didn't have you there to help us celebrate. You're the best! Thanks for the time of our lives.

Jeff Hay was an amazing DJ, he really made our party. It was such a small wedding with mostly just family I was afraid that the party would be a flop but Jeff got us rocking with his great energy, fun games, and amazing musical knowledge. He learned people's names and had lots of great interaction with all of the guests all night long, always knowing what to play to keep people moving. He did his homework on us too, and knowing that we're both big Star Trek fans he wore a Start Trek shirt at one point which made everyone smile. And the best part was the compliments afterwards. I remember a few days before my wedding I was a nervous wreck. Although it seemed everything had been planned (remotely from Winnipeg) with great detail my experience told me there was a lot of room for error. Was the (wedding vow person) going to show up? Was I going to stand in the wrong place during the ceremony? What if the songs we chose didn’t play properly or weren’t appropriate? What if my wedding reception was boring? Where should we go on our honeymoon? How am I going to have the energy to do it all? All of these thoughts were going through my head and were spinning around in circles making it difficult to enjoy in the moment. And then I met Jeff… His warm handshake, friendly smile and calm, knowledgeable demeanor put me at ease. He had good answers for all the little questions we had, knew all the vendors, and had extra special advice like what snacks to have on hand to make sure you don’t burnout midday. The wedding was a success. Better than any party I have ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot parties lol) Honestly all of my guests said it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to and each of them largely credited the experience to how fun the reception was. There wasn’t a dull moment. We can’t thank Jeff enough for how easy, and special he made that magical day for us. I wish I could married again and again it was so much fun. *Without getting divorced of course. Lol Jeff you’re the best and you clearly love what you do. Keep up the fantastic, amazing work.

When we planned our wedding we were told food and DJ were the most important. We first heard about Jeff through a friend so we asked our photographer about him and he completely agreed that Jeff was the best DJ/MC in the Okanagan. We weren't disappointed at all Jeff was amazing! Our wedding required 3 different stereo setups and we had some unusual music requests but Jeff handled it all and kept the flow of the wedding on time and our guest entertained. He also helped us choose our songs of the moment like grand entrance, signing the papers, exiting the ceremony, and receiving line music. Throughout the night Jeff was on the ball getting all the guests out on the dance floor, participating in ice breakers, and he managed our playlist while fitting in our guests requests. The transition from dinner hall to ballroom was seamless, and appropriate announcements were made throughout the night when shuttles were leaving the hotel. The sounds system that Jeff supplied was unreal. We were supposed to be in a sound proof ballroom but Jeff proved the hotel wrong. I don't think they have ever had anyone show up with a system of that caliber before and we aren't ashamed of our noise complaint count at all. We highly recommend Jeff as a DJ/MC, if I could redo my wedding there are a few things I would change but we would for sure book Jeff again.
