Awesome and fun adventure in Jasper. I did both the Canyon Run and Sunwatpa white water rafting excursion and both times the staff was awesome. Enjoyable and professional staff that knew what they were doing. Activity is safe and I never felt at risk. Equipment provided is great and makes splashing in the cold water fun and safe.

My family and I went on the Athabasca rafting trip! We all enjoyed it thoroughly even though my mother was hesitant to go at first because she does not know how to swim! All of the guides made it a very fun experience for the whole family to enjoy and we all felt safe through the trip. We were provided wet suits so even getting splashed with the ice cold water was fun! Our guide was Tyler, he was very funny and informative about the river. We all felt very safe knowing he had two types of first aid! We recommend this trip to anyone, it's safe and lots of fun! Thank you Maligne Adventures for this amazing opportunity!

We had a wildlife tour in jasper this past weekend, and it was great! We had Ross as our driver and guide, and he was amazing. Jasper was pretty quiet this weekend, so it was actually just me and my brothers in the tour. He asked us which animal we really would like to see and he really went after the search for bears. Did the Fraser river rafting with Maligne Adventures. I was pretty disappointed they overstated the grade of the white water. The float down the river was very scenic but if it's whitewater you are after don't bother in Jasper.

Parked at the busy and small Signal Trailhead. Our drivers were friendly, followed COVID rules and provided interesting information and ideas for my visit in Japser. Bus was clean and didn't smell. Put my pack in the back first and my sandwich got squished by another backpack. Tip: consider putting your bag in last, so your sammie doesn't get flattened.

Although the day was cool and cloudy, our guide Kaitlyn was cheerful and happy. She was knowledgeable about the area's landmarks and geography, and ensured that we had a great experience. The end of season run was ideal for my son's first time. The equipment was well maintained and the tour well organized. Do not recommend – may not paddle for the entire excursion. Lessons learned: When you’re asked which position of the boat you want, pick anything, so you don't get stuck in the “princess” position. When in doubt, ensure that there are a sufficient number of spots on the boat to accommodate your group size. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The guides were knowledgeable and experienced, and the transportation and logistics were handled well enough, but the overall operations could use significant improvement. On our outing at Sunwapta River on 7/15 1:30PM, there were two boats that each could seat 6 paddlers and the guide. That day, there was a group of 5, 2, 2, and our group of 3. The groupings made it so that the guides put the group of 5 in one boat and the rest of us in the other boat, for a total of 7. We were told that one person would have to ride “king” or “princess” position, but that we would rotate out once we were on the river. We were not asked if we would split up, and frankly why would we? You wouldn't split up a couple and have them raft separately, why would you do that to a group of friends? I sat in the non-paddling position for a third of the trip. This position SUCKS. You don’t have an oar. You don’t paddle. There’s no participation with any of the guide’s commands like paddling forward or backward. All you do is sit there and get splashed in the face. When asked by the guide part way through to switch, my friend reluctantly gave up her position so that I could get a chance to paddle. At another point in the excursion, the guide asked again if anyone wanted to switch to the non-paddling position and of course no one volunteered. People don’t sign up for a river rafting adventure only to sit on a boat and get splashed in the face. So in the end, only my group of 3 had to rotate in the non-paddling position, which I felt was incredibly unfair. Really put a damper on our first river rafting experience. I emailed customer service afterwards and they cited safety concerns and insisted that they offered to split us up (they did not, and even if they did, that’s not an acceptable solution). When signing groups up for river rafting, they should use each individual boat as the max capacity, not the overall number of seats between two boats. If we had known our group would put in a boat over the 6 person threshold and that we would have to be in the non-paddling position, we would have gone with another company. I requested a refund of 33% of the total cost of the trip, since our group did not paddle for a third of the trip. The request was not honoured and complimentary photos were provided instead.

Had such a great wildlife tour with Ross. He went above and beyond to find us animals. We were fortunate enough to see an Elk that had antlers they size of a person and a moose and her calf. He also was able to show us an Eagle's nest that had a young eagle waiting for its dinner, which it's mom served fresh while we watched and plenty of other smaller animals on the way as well The drive to Maligne lake was fabulous. Next summer we plan on taking the rafting and white water tours. Highly recommend this tour for the value alone. I know they can't guarantee the big mammals but when they do come out it is quite magical.

Cost is around 100$ dlls per person, but it worth every peso.

Fabulous trip with a brilliant river guide Andrew. Some of us have rafted before in NZ and Scotland but this was up there with one of the best trips. Andrew was great at getting us into the best positions for maximum impact from the whitewater and even had us surfing upstream at one point! The kids thought we might sink during the surf. Also managed to get in for a 'cold' swim before the end. The flexibilty to make the trip part of our journey to Clearwater from Jasper made it a fantastic day overall. The instructions on where to purchase & download our rafting photos were very clear. This was a great way to “test the waters” on a level 2 river. Great small rafting trip down the river. The waves aren’t that big, the water is cold, the river is curves constantly and the guides are fantastic. The guides are the youngest I have so far and are damn good on taking people down the river. Around a hour on the water.

My wife and I did two different trips with them. Rafting on the Frasier and a wildlife/boat tour of Maligne Lake. We had a wonderful time on each of them. The staff in the office were always amazing, whether it was helping us book a trip, or just answering questions about town and hikes in the area. Very genuine people. First the rafting. We opted for the Frasier (which they list as a Class 3+) as I've done Class 5 rivers in the USA. It was a lot of fun, albeit cold for the first 20 minutes, but they outfit you with wet suits and splash jackets so you warm up fast. Our raft guide Brody was super nice and friendly as were all the guides on the trip. Great stories on the bus and on the raft. They really go out of their way to ensure everyone is safe and having a fun time. The wildlife/boat tour on Maligne lake was wonderful as well. Our guide Ross is a lifetime local Jasper resident and has probably forgotten more about the area than most people would remember. He really made the trip fun with his stories and plethora of local information ranging from Jasper history to wildlife to info on fossils and plants. They go out of their way to make sure you have a fun time.

Wally pointed out wildlife on the way too and from the tour and took amazing photos of our family along the river. This is definitely a must do thing in Jasper. It looks very scary however their team is great and make sure you know the safety protocols.

Great experience with Maligne Adventures ! I recommend ! If you want to do some activities : go with them They also have different packages if you want to do different activities and it’s super flexible ( you can do the activities in different days for example ! ) We chose the package with the rafting in Sunwapta and the morning wildlife search. The rafting was good because it was my first time ! I was expecting for more adrenaline but it’s okay for a first time. If I knew, I will probably choose the Fraiser River ! Every guide was funny, kind and professional ! Feel safe and with them. They provide a lot of gear to protect us from the cold water ( 4 Celsius, and we weren’t cold ! ) But some equipment smells bad, it was not very pleasant The guide for the wildlife research was very kind and professional ! We learn a lot about animals and Jasper from her. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to see a bear. We saw a coyote, goats, American eagle and wapiti.

I did the Fraser river rafting with Maligne Adventures last August 22, 2017. I was pretty disappointed because they overstated the grade of theirs rapids. In fact, the biggest wave was not more than 3 feet high but the guide was awsome.

My boyfriend and I did the Maligne Canyon Ice Walk tour. This was hands down one of the best tours I've ever done! Our guide Emma was very knowledgeable and mindful of people's interests and needs. She was very passionate and made this an excellent and memorable travel experience. We were lucky to have amazing weather and perfect conditions for this tour. I highly recommend this as a must-do when in Jasper in the winter.

This Canada day, the four of us in my family joined friends to try white water rafting for the first time. We had 5 kids and 4 adults. The kids ages started at 5 years and up. For one, we were late because of the Canada day parade, and the guides held the bus for us! I was so surprised. The guides were all amazing with the kids, but specifically our boat guide, Drew, was fantastic. I think the rapid rating was on par with what we expected- it was challenging enough to keep the adults entertained and the kids engaged, with enough calm spots to calm them down when the rapids got a bit hairy. I found that the tales about the location that Drew provided was amazing and informative. We loved our afternoon on the water, and really look forward to making this a yearly tradition. It was a fantastic first experience, our expectations were blown away, and we are so happy we chose to spend our time in the canyon.

We had an amazing time doing ‘family friendly rafting adventure’ ! This was our first time and my 8yr old son was a bit nervous to do it ! But thanks to our rafting guide Jessie.P , the whole experience turned out to be awesome ! By the end, my son was asking when are we doing it next ☺️! After reaching the meeting point , we signed the waiver and boarded the bus for a 15mins drive to Athabasca river. The instructions provided how to row the raft was very clear and important so do pay good attention to that ! Do remember to wear your swim clothes underneath your regular clothes as you will have to remove the regular clothes and wear the wet suit provided over your swim clothes ! My son dint wanted to row so he sat in the front of the raft in duck position holding the rope tight (which is more secure position) and that made him bit comfortable. And then as we were rafting, Jessie gave us good explanation how the river is flowing in a certain manner and how to row it smoothly making the whole experience a breeze. The confidence with which the crew explains and take charge of the raft gives us lot of confidence! Highly recommended and a big shout out to Jessie.P and to the whole crew ! You guys were awesome !

Cold weather , warm guidance ! We did the Fraser river 3+. Was unforgettable ! Nate is a great guide! . It was a little cold out but the wetsuit and splash tops kept us warm ! If you are concerned if its plus 7 outside , no worries! Just go!!

My husband and I took our two kids, 14 and 10, on the Canyon Tour with this organization. They were very well organized, very professional, and they were tons of fun. Our guide, Kaitlyn, was incredibly informative and personable. She highlighted all the sights to see from birds' nests to the the glaciers to the various mountains. If there is one issue I had it would be with the actual river route that we signed up for. The canyon tour starts off with some pretty fun smaller rapids that are great for new rafters and then there are a few spots during the ride that have more fun waves, but most of the tour is just a float, a beautiful float, but a float. But this issue is not with the organization, this was the route we choose because of the age and size of my son. Next time, we will choose a more exciting tour, but we would definitely do it with this group!

This company provided our family of four (two adults and two teens) with a nice 2 hour adventure in August, 2021. It was a whitewater rafting trip on the Athabasca River Express Route. Jesse was our guide and he was great. We learned a lot about the wildlife that frequent the shores of the river. This was a good value.

Did the Sunwapta Falls white water rafting and it was great! Our guide Ty was awesome. Class 3 rapids sounds scary without any experience but it was really fun. 5 stars, would recommend!

I enjoyed the tour, even though it was raining. It would have been great if the weather was a bit nicer. Our tour guide was very accommodating. Our group was small, there was only 11 people in our group which is nice. The drive to Maligne lake is gorgeous, but that is expected. However encountering wildlife along the way is based on luck. We did see moose, elk and native birds in the area, but not a whole lot more. If you are planning to take the tour spend a little bit on getting the Maligne lake cruise, it is worth the extra bucks.

Had an amazing time on the wildlife tour this morning with the lovely Kelly. We got to see Bears, Coyotees, Elk and Eagles truly fantastic. The best fun i have had in ages. I 100% recommend you to take this experience. We did the 5 hour and loved watching the scenery there and back We even seen a black bear on the way back I staff was excellent to put up with our antics. Very Very friendly. I would do it over and over again.
