Thoroughly enjoyed the single person performance by Donna Butt of Teresa's Creed. Depicting rigours of outport life in the early post confederation era. Venue exceptionally well suited.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Extremely disappointing experience. We were sold tickets for a show on Tuesday* night. We came in from out of town to see a performance as the Rising Tide Theatre comes highly recommended. We were excited, pre-booked for Tuesday and waited outside the Parish Hall for the show to start. Turns out, we were sold tickets for Wednesday. Upon entering Rising Tide Theatre to discuss this with staff (as we know mistakes can happen) , staff were VERY rude and unaccommodating. When asked what would happen under these circumstances as we were leaving town and would miss the show, she stated “We don’t offer anything in return 48 hours before the show starts although we sold them to you in that time frame”. Becoming increasingly rude, she blatantly said , “Nothing will happen next! Nobody will be sitting in those seats you bought. As a matter of fact, the show isn’t even sold out”. I couldn’t help but wonder, what was our money paying for? Long story short, these people kept over $100 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and refused to give us a credit or refund. Very unprofessional and overall rude.

Christine Bugler

Nice intimate place. All seats are good.

A reasonable performance from a troupe of young folks trying their best to uphold traditional roots and music. Ms. Butt was as gracious a host as ever, but this show needs some modernizing. Some of the performers even seemed to lack motivation and looked tired. Most unfortunate as several of them appear to have untapped talent. Perhaps part of that is due to the average age of the audience hovering around 60 years. Again, a modernization would go a long way here. The food was, I'm sorry hut I have to say it, just terrible. Grey flavourless beef, wayyyy over-cooked fish, and veg accompaniments that surely were made the day before. You can do better than this folks. I do have to acknowledge the service level of the catering staff which was impressive, with both youthful and senior helpers very efficient, mannerly, and as non-intrusive as the tight seating permits. Lots of potential here, but a makeover is way overdue.
