I had an excellent time here trying out the Vive with some friends for a few hours. Expect the first 30 minutes to be learning how to use the Vive controllers and adjusting to the headset. After that everything feels really natural and is a ton of fun. Book at least 2 hours to get the most of your visit, as the time really flies by when you get into the games. I'll definitely be going back. Highly recommend you visit.

What a fun time! The escape room was really immersive and worked so smoothly. The staff explained everything well. It's a little hard to find and not much parking nearby, but worth a visit.

If you have not tried VR you will be blown away. I went to just try it out of curiosity and could have stayed for 4 hours. It is a seamless experience and intuitive. You have to try The Climb - literally makes you dizzy from the feeling of being high on a mountain. I can't say enough about what a thrill it was for a first time experience and how impossible it will be not to go back immediately.

Brought my son and partner to the Hero Zone and none of the equipment would sync. Frustrating half hour of bumping into each other and not seeing people in the proper location before being brought to a multiplayer room without enough headsets for all of us. Furthermore the multiplayer room was not set up for a young person to be able to navigate easily at all. Payed for a night of frustration after booking a specific room that would have been age and skill level appropriate.

Love this place! During COVID restrictions it's great to have a place we can go as a family to get out of the house. We've been there twice now. Second time we opted for two hours, as 1.5 felt too short. We also tried the Multi-player room... it's a great set up, and really worked for us. Two headsets meant less waiting for the kiddos, and the Pac-Man arcade game was a great side-activity. The kids loved it... As did we. Highly recommend.

Had a really great night at Nearby Planet VR. Surprised my partner for his birthday. He loved it! He and I are not gamers but the staff is excellent at helping you figure out the amazing technology. There is so much choice in what you can do, something for everyone’s taste and ability. We had a blast! This was my third time going and I discover something new each time. Their loyalty program makes it very affordable to have such a one of a kind, unique experience. Great spot, so cool, I can not recommend it enough!

This was my second visit to Nearby Planet VR and I can honestly say I've throughly enjoyed myself both times! The first was for the Halloween Room (Can't remember the rooms name) which kept our group of 3 on our toes. With covid this year we all felt this was the safest way to enjoy a haunted experience and still take part in our annual haunting adventures! Our second trip was tonight when we decided to bring our husbands along for a Valentines Day date night adventure! We did a space mission escape room! Having done multiple escape rooms before we weren't sure what to expect with a virtual one. The virtual aspect really took it to a new level making us feel like we were actually in outer space! I think the only downside I can name and it's not really a negative is that we solved the room and wished the experience didn't end so soon! Thankfully the staff switched us over to another group game to use until our time was over. Overall this is truly an experience everyone should try!!

Absolutely come here over the other VR places. I’m impressed with their kind and knowledgeable staff and major selection of games and multiplayer! Plus two rooms costs us 70$ that’s incredible!! My kids loved it here. Highly recommend.

Such a great place to go to play vr. One of the better vr parlors in Halifax. The atmosphere is really cool with all their lights and decorations. The staff was super friendly and helpful. An excellent place to go if you can't play vr at home

AMAZING ! The owners / staff are so friendly, making our first virtual reality experience an easy process! They let us do a demo before we paid for an hour to be sure we would enjoy our time there which was great ! We paid for the hour and before we left they asked us to try a new game they just got and it was absolutely incredible! It was something to do with Star Wars and I dont even like star wars but this game was so realistic and interactive ! I highly highly highly recommend checking this place out if your in downtown halifax !!! We will certainly be back

From the moment you step into the waiting area, its very apparent how clean, organized, and fun this place is! This place by far beats the other ones in Halifax. We have been to another one downtown, and the chairs were a bit dirty, and they didnt have as many games as Nearby Planet. I will confirm what others have said about the friendly staff. They treated us like friends, and made sure we were happy. They are VERY helpful to first timers, taking plenty of time to explain how VR works, and what to expect. Once you go into the room they make sure you are ok, ask you what you wanna play, help you put on the gear etc. What I really like is even though they are busy, they dont rush things, or make you feel pressured at all. Halfway through our session, they even asked us if we wanted some water! (I think) The manager is always there (unlike the other place), and he is very down to earth and a pleasure to talk to. Will def come back, and keep reccomending this place!
