We went back to our apartment for some cozy photos with our puppy and Lydia even left us with a handful of fun Polaroid's before she left our house. Everyone who sees our photos are blown away. Words cannot describe the honour it was to have Lydia capture our wedding. She was the absolute perfect choice and her photography skills and personality are unmatched. The quality of work that she put into our session was incredible and it was far beyond what I have seen others do as a photographer. There was no feeling pushed to do something outside of our comfort zone, or like we had to fit a specific outcome. Lydia let us be us and we couldn't be happier. At the end of the day we were still talking about how thrilled we were with our experience. Additionally, the quality of the photos were beyond anything we have ever seen of ourselves. My partner and I can almost never agree on a photo that we both like of us as a couple, and Lydia provided us with tons of photos that we both instantly loved. There were pictures we never even knew she was taking that appeared in the list, and they were beautiful. There were artistic, natural, silly, cute, and traditional photos all mixed together in the perfect collection. We went from people who seldom looked at photos of ourselves to now regularly looking at those photos with joy and gratitude. Having Painted White Photography as part of this occasion was the best decision we could possibly have made for a photographer, and I cannot recommend Lydia enough to anyone in need of someone to make their pictures and time special, authentic, and fun.

I can’t describe how thankful we are to have worked with Lydia. She made our day special and captured it perfectly. We decided to get married in our backyard with a few close friends and virtually with family. A COVID wedding indeed. I've been to a ton of weddings. I've also been in the bridal party quite a few times. She was absolutely amazing. My best friends wedding was yesterday and I felt compelled to come on here and write a review because the experience was as good as I've ever seen. I'm a guy, and let's be honest guys love to see great photos but don't enjoy the process of taking a bunch of photos. Or maybe that's just me? Anyways that wasn't the case yesterday at all. She was so fun, effecient and creative. Even though the wedding was yesterday I already got to see a bunch of photos. At my own wedding the photographer's were great and have no complaints however I did have to wait a really long time to get any photos. What I loved about yesterday was her ability to know when to have fun, when to get serious and how to capture the natural moments. Capturing the natural moments is in my opinion the best part. All the boys were looking at photos today and they brought us back as if we were back there in a really good way. We had a ton of laughs, and not gonna lie maybe a couple tears. Anyways sorry for the essay length review but I have to give credit where credit is due. It wasn't even my wedding and I feel like not only did we get perfect photos we also gained a friend. These past years have been hard and every time she checked in it brought back the feelings of excitement for us about the whole thing. She created a schedule for us which really helped with envisioning how the day would plan out. We had never met Lydia in person before our big day but she was so easy to hangout with! She was incredible with our 7 and 4 year old and the pictures turned out beautifully. Oh where do I even start?! I had the privilege of being a MOH in a wedding Lydia and her crew were photographing. Being an Italian, I’ve been to a lot of weddings (ha!) and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Firstly I need to touch on what an absolute joy Lydia is as a person. From the moment we met we just clicked and I felt I was with a long time friend. I’m not a huge fan of getting my photo taken, but she put me at such ease I can’t thank her enough. Secondly, I need to comment on this woman’s TALENT! Her photos are absolutely surreal. They really do capture the love surrounding a couple. She captures a single look between newlyweds, a secret knowing smile between best friends, or the look of adoration between a child and their parents. Her pictures are truly spectacular. She kept us all in check, making sure we were on time, and going above and beyond to make us all the have best time possible. We shared so many laughs! We contacted Lydia through our event planner. Our event was being put on on short notice due to family events and the lingering feeling of COVID persisting and lockdowns being put in place. Of all the portfolios we saw, Lydia's stood out the most. Once we signed on with her, she reached out to us right away. We were very nervous and unable to figure out exactly what we wanted but Lydia made us comfortable and gave us a lot of information and tips. She asked thoughtful questions that helped us make decisions. Lydia was fantastic on the day of as well. She showed up on time and became our unofficial general. She took the shots that we wanted and kept us moving forward and staying on time, which really helped because we were too busy trying to get ourselves ready to notice we could be late. Even when we arrived at the venue late, she worked to make sure that we took all the shots we needed in the time that we had left while also making sure we were on time for the event. During the event our request was that she keep the shots candid and she accommodated that request fantastically. She was out of the way but in all the right places to take the best shots. The work she sent us over was fantastic and it came in this beautiful package that we can hang on our wall to remember our special day. The pictures came out amazing with warm colors and captured our friends and family at their most happiest, goofiest, and warmest. I haven't used any other event photographers but I will say that Lydia has a five star rating with so may reviews for a reason. We are so glad that she made the time to work with us.
