We found Amanda in the summer of 2021 to help us plan a small backyard wedding. The work that she put in, and the design board that she came up with blew us away. The process from day one was smooth and efficient. She was great at working with covid restrictions and guidelines. When things started opening back up, we decided to go back to our original plan at a venue with more guests for December 2021. We knew we wanted to keep her on board for that plan as well because we enjoyed working with her so much. We hired her for the full wedding experience. Our wedding was definitely a bit bolder then her styles that she advertises, but she saw our moody winter wonderland dream and brought it to life. She made sure the day and the entire process went as smooth as possible and was able to roll with any punches that came our way. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and perfect the day was! We can't thank her and her team enough for making it a day we will never forget!

We hired Amanda and her team to design and coordinate our wedding. We got married at a private residence and we didn’t want the stress of planning a wedding ourselves, especially within a pandemic. Amanda is one of the most positive people I have met. Right from our first virtual meeting we had together, I knew she was going to be great. Sea and Silk is truly as good as it gets. We hired them for a full planning package, so we worked with Amanda and her contacts for the year leading up to the day as well. Amanda took our preferences, and designed and executed us the perfect wedding, and somehow managed to make a backyard wedding of 160+ feel intimate, and stunning. Throughout the process, Amanda emphasized that she wanted us to have fun, so she kept us in the loop enough that we felt involved and were able to design what was important to us, but she handled everything else and allowed us to enjoy the whole year, and have the most perfect wedding day. I truly could not recommend working with Sea and Silk more!

We hired Amanda to coordinate our wedding as my now-husband and I were stressing out over COVID regulation changes and planning the day. From the start, Amanda has been an absolute professional, giving us recommendations and advice throughout the entire process, even at the last minute when we finally started getting our sh*t together about booking vendors. When regulations changed, she was so quick to respond and leap into action, and never missed a step. On the actual wedding day, Amanda was a godsend. Watching the videos on her Instagram afterwards of how quickly she flipped our venue from ceremony to reception space, we were in absolute awe of her speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. The wedding looked perfect and ran so smoothly, neither of which would have been possible without Amanda's help. We received quite a few compliments about her from guests, family, and the bridal party on her coordination and organization skills, and that "even when she was in drill sergeant mode, she was still an absolute professional and super nice". Even if you consider yourself a master planner and don't think you need the support on your wedding day, trust me. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin!? I was looking for a wedding planner in the spring of this year for my wedding at the end of August. I came across many different websites but ultimately I was most intrigued by Amanda's style on her Sea and Silk Events website - I loved the elegance and yet the simplicity of her designs and decided to meet with her. After our first meeting I booked her right away! Amanda is warm and easy to talk to, I felt comfortable with her immediately and knew that I wanted to work with her. Originally I hired Amanda for the wedding design and decor. She put together the most beautiful design board for my wedding and did so in a very timely fashion (we brides are always very eager to see things and she put something together for me so quickly after our first design meeting!). I changed the venue of my wedding a few times and this also made me change the style and vibe of my wedding. Amanda wasn't fazed by this in the slightest! Just like the total professional that she is, she went with it! She changed up the design and never once made me feel bad about my indecisiveness! Amanda is extremely supportive, while still being a total professional, I always felt like I was talking to a friend. Amanda cares about her clients, she treats them like family, and always prioritizes them and their wedding day. As a result, I ended up hiring Amanda for a full wedding coordination (instead of just the design/decor) because I felt I needed more support and guidance in the wedding planning process, especially because I was living in Toronto and my wedding was in Ottawa. Amanda was amazing in taking care of everything I needed for the big day - flowers, decor, and stationary - just to name a few things! Now, as for the wedding day itself, all I can say is WOW!!! The flowers and decor were absolutely gorgeous - she brought my vision to life and then some! It was even more beautiful than what I had imagined in my mind! She is so incredibly talented! Beyond that, she connected with all of the vendors and created a schedule for the wedding day. This took so much stress off of me, I was able to relax and enjoy the day, I didn't have to worry once. My now husband and I keep reflecting on our wedding day and we both feel that from start to finish the day was absolutely perfect! It ran smoothly, it was beautiful beyond words, and we had the absolute best wedding planner supporting and guiding us every step of the way! Amanda is pure magic. We hired her as we were in over our heads planning a wedding in 25 days. From first call Amanda was all in working to make our wedding a success. Where do I even start? We hired Amanda and her team for the month of coordination package for our wedding. We got married at Cumberland Belle which is a stunning blank slate DIY venue and we didn’t want the stress of planning a wedding ourselves, especially with the ongoing pandemic. I had many odds and ends and she made it look so cohesive and breath taking. They worked efficiently and paid close attention to every detail. Even when we dealt with some hiccups on my end, Amanda and her team were able to think on their feet and fix the problem immediately and was able to do so without me even knowing of these little problems ex. I had forgotten to update my bouquet numbers and Amanda and her team were able to fix up a bouquet with the extra florals we had - the bouquet was beautiful and for very well with the other bouquets. We are extremely Thanks to the Sea + Silk team and our other vendors, it was just perfect and a dream come true. They made our pandemic wedding feel natural and We could not thank them enough!
