Where do we even begin!?! Daulton and her team were INCREDIBLE to work with! From day one, she helped us feel so at ease throughout the entire planning process. Her taste is so elegant and simple, and her suggestions for decor and ambiance were always exactly what we were looking for! We hosted two weddings - one in New Orleans and the other in Cleveland. It was not easy planning in two locations (especially because we don't live in either location) for two completely different style of weddings, but Daulton made the whole process a breeze and so enjoyable! My son recently got married, and the best decision that he and his fiancée made was to hire The Refined Host, Daulton van Kuren, to be their wedding planner. First and foremost, Daulton was and is the REAL DEAL!! She listened carefully to all of my son’s and his fiancée’s ideas and wishes in order to completely understand their vision and then worked tirelessly to actualize every aspect of their dreams. She was organized, planful, detailed oriented, and left no stone unturned from the day we met her through the day of the wedding. Additionally, Daulton had relationships with highly competent vendors with whom she coordinated everything from the flowers to the room décor and lighting in a seamless fashion in order to assure every aspect of the wedding plan was executed perfectly. Daulton did an exceptional job with coordinating all of the vendors and designing a well thought out floor plan on our wedding day. She negotiated with vendors for better pricing and gave insight on where to cut costs without sacrificing elegance. She was very cognizant of our budget. She executed perfectly with day of coordination and the whole day went on without a hitch. If there was an issue that arose we never knew because it was already taken care. Hiring her for the day of was one of the best things we ever did. We were able to enjoy every second of our special day and had peace of mind knowing we could count on her!
