We were lucky enough to attend a recent event by Somm Events and we were blown away. The whole evening was fantastic. The secured a top chef and they worked together with the chef to pick the right wines for each course (none of which can be bought at the LCBO)! The food, atmosphere, conversation, and wine were all outstanding. Highly recommended!

We were invited to a tasting for a good friends birthday during a lockdown! It was so much fun! We received the wine approx 5 days in advance and the delivery guy was great. Information on each wine was included as well such as suggested pairings! A couple days before we received an email with chilling instructions and some charcuterie board suggestions to pair nicely with the wines. The afternoon of was great! It was easy to log in over zoom, and Jennifer and Marte so pleasant, knowledgeable and great at answering the questions we all had. We had so much fun and look forward to attending a Wine Wednesday soon!

I experienced a virtual wine tasting as a fun way to celebrate my birthday during our Covid “stay at home” order. It was such a wonderful time to sip and snack with my own friends on the screen, all while being educated on the wines we were drinking, including everything from the first sniff, to the difference of taste with and without our charcuterie board to pair! I really enjoyed the open forum Q&A in the second half of the event because it opened up the floor for my friends and I to have some entertaining conversations about wine, retell stories of when we used to enjoy wine together in person, learn about different varietals of grapes, as well as the regions they come from. Our host, Jennifer was so lovely! She was impressively knowledgeable and never once made us feel silly for asking the silly questions. She was lots of fun as well and managed to keep 7 drinkers completely engaged the whole time - a difficult task, surely. Everything from the wine delivery, to the chilling instructions and charcuterie recommendations, to the actual execution and experience were professional, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable! Highly recommended for friends gathering, or corporate parties, to team building exercises alike! Very impressed! Thank you, SommEvents!

SommEvents put together an incredible evening of gourmet food with wine pairing. It was held in a lovely outdoor setting. The food and drink was incredible. Met some lovely new people and had a fantastic time. The customer service provided was outstanding. High attention to detail, from the selection of foods and wine, to the place settings/decoration...everything was impeccable. I would highly recommend them for a business event, large or small private party. They do an amazing job!

An unexpected Birthday Surprise and the perfect gift for a Covid Birthday! The eight of us had a fantastic time learning about the wine, how to pair it with food and discover the underlying flavours and bouquets. Marta is exceptionally knowledgeable and her easy, friendly style made it a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this experience - great value, a lot of laughs and plenty of learning.

The wines were interesting and unique. Marte did a superb job of imparting information while keeping the tone light and informal and as the tasting went on and the crowd got increasingly "animated" she was good humored and did a nice job of herding a bunch of drunk and rowdy cats. Had a lot of fun and learned a few important things abut wine and wine producing regions. Well done.

This was a lot of fun and our host Jennifer was super informative. I loved hearing fun facts about the wine and how vineyards are quite different in other parts of the world. I found the food and wine pairing very interesting. Jennifer did a wonderful job! We enjoyed the wine tasting group event led by Marte Belisle via Zoom yesterday evening. Some of the participants were more knowledgeable about wines than others, but Marte provided information and answered questions in a way that was understandable to all. She was well-informed, welcomed comments and suggestions, and led the activities in a friendly manner and at a comfortable and relaxed pace. It was an event that we would be happy to participate in again and would recommend it to others.
