Nice to take a day out and venture to the races. Costs 2.50 for a racing book and minimum bets are 2$. Building itself needs a little TLC as its age shows but you can stand outside and get a front row to the horses.

This is a great place to bring the family, parking is free, it's free to get in and its wheelchair accessible. Every Sunday they have a market and featured events, and tuesdays they always have a live band. I've been bringing my family here for many years , they love to see the horses before the races. Theres a picnic area and food trucks. Keep your eyes open for special events, they're always giving things away.

Sad to see this place these days! Since the slots were yanked it's eerily empty, here. Live racing seems to have lost its luster. Some races with just 4 horses running! Place is an aging ghost of its former self.

This place is literally a historical site. It's the oldest Racetrack in North America and it's been revamped a time or two. Great for a day off to have a few brews at the tiki bar and bet on the "ponies"

I have been a resident of Fort Erie for most of my life and I have always enjoyed going to the track. Not only a place for horse betting, but a great place to visit friends that you haven't seen in a while. I loved going there as a kid .. and still enjoy going.

Came early for the wiener dog race and caught some of the horse racing action. Very exciting, such beautiful animals. Very festival like atmosphere with vendors and food trucks on the picknic grounds. Needs more foodtruck variety. Will come back!

It was nice to see the horses outside. Betting is a bit hard as they do not have that many tellers or automatic machines. I know it is a small racetrack so I understand. It was nice to see so many food trucks show up as well. I will visit again.

Loved, loved, loved this place. A little bit of everything. Get up close to the track or watch the readiness in the stable area, place your wagers, get some good snack food and an adult beverage. Great entertainment, sometimes a live band after the races, too!

Very nice track with a couple ponds in it, can't see half the track because it's so big though. Really cool tiki bar area outside the track, lots of places to sit and watch, lots of machines and counter people to make bets at. This track does not have slots. We had a fun time

This is a nice relaxing place to be. Get to be close to the horses before the race. Stand sit outside or inside. Food is good and reasonable. Betting is easy and fun to watch at the rail. Saw all ages here. Come and enjoy.

im just refering to wagering on fort erie i really liked the track mainly the pick four but so far this year there is no money to be made you have to have longshots actually win some races or there is no point and change the pick three and four to 35 cents im sure it would be popular since now you have the 20 cent one it would actually put more money in those pools.

This is not a car racing track. It is a thoroughbred horse racing track, one of the oldest in the country. Home of the second leg of our triple crown, the Prince Of Wales. A great place to spend a few hours outside watching the horses.

Went for the Weiner Dog races! Hilarious and awesome at the same time. With such a big event they should have staffed the bars better, basically one server at each bar, the lines move very slow. Otherwise it was a great place to go!

Free parking, free entry and even a free race card. To be honest the place is a bit shabby and run down and I felt the real gamblers' inner sanctum was somewhat seedy. Saying that though, it can still be a fun day out in the stands.

As an easy example 3 people buy Brimstone at current prices versus 20 people buying Brimstone at better prices. What do they think makes more money? I'll even be nice & give them a hint, it an't the first option.

Worn out track should have closed down years ago. Tellers taking wagers are unfamiliar with the machines. Went for Prince of Wales Stakes andit ruined my day. Maybe in the 70s in was OK not now

I love going to Fort Erie racetrack. It is a beautiful place retaining the design that provides maximum enjoyment for those of us who love thoroughbred racing. Although it can be a long drive from Barrie. I would really miss my 2 to 4 trips a year. Plus it is much harder to get to Saratoga, Monmouth, Delaware or Kentucky Downs.
