I have to remind myself that this place holds events. It seems like an under-used albatross sitting atop some really expensive parking. People running events speak of it costing $15 for the convention staff to plug in a power bar. Feels like a shake down culture that extends through the whole operation.

I always have multiple things going on, they have been obliging in every aspect. Wether it's the banquet staff, restraunt or desk I have felt supported fully in any aspect of interaction with them. Beautiful inside, if you can get there, but a pain in the rear finding it. The Vic conference centre has a complex series of outdoor ramps making street access difficult and confusing the first time. The limited parking in the parlance mean that many people are using the street entrance which isn’t accessible and has 20+ stairs. Wheelchair access from the street is off of the driveway/lane (to the left of the Main Street entrance if you’re looking at it). No fewer than three long ramps (one with a switchback) are required, and the last one needed to enter the building is hidden behind a wall. Signage is poor. Once inside, wheelchair users must use a small lift to get to the convention floor/registration area, or the lift and an elevator to the ballroom level. The lift lacks signage and may not fit large power wheelchairs. It works relatively smoothly if you know how (and I was able to figure it out with some trial & error), however if you struggle with doors you may find it difficult. There are power doors on the lower floor entrance and the Women’s (accessible) washroom. The auditorium has wheelchair seating at the top/back row.

Beautiful conference center. Small-medium size. Lots of natural light in the lobby. Parking is a bit steep at $18 per day. Connected with the Empress Hotel, which is fun to walk around during breaks. Location is premium, with the inner harbor only a couple minutes away.

I wanted to go here for some time. Beautiful bar and restaurant. One of the best hotels in Canada. I had a Canadian Single Malt 'Glenloy ', voted best Canadian Single Malt in 2021. Its made on the island and was outstanding. General Manager was helpful and informative with regatds to Spirits on offer. Great place to have an afternoon cocktail. Definitely looking forward to trying the food as all the dishes that went by smelled and looked fantastic.

The Conference Center provides a superb venue for events of almost any size. Users provide at least in some cases, their own staff for their events. Center staff are helpful in getting everything started. There's a restaurant sort of place that the staff of the center operate.

There were lots of signs to show where to enter and where to park. There is free parking for 1 hour if you are getting a vaccine at the conference centre. There are signs to guide you to where to check in. The whole process was extremely efficient and even for a vaccination pleasant. Everything was on time and I didn't have to pay parking.

My experience of it was as a vaccination site. I found it to be nicely laid out, spacious, and had a pretty "new" vibe. It is in a very convenient location and you can park downstairs or downtown or quite easily a bit out of the downtown area and walk to the site in minutes. It is also very close to amenities and to the inner harbour, so either before or after your event you can be happily occupied. This is a great site for any type of event!

The Seedy Saturday event was great, but I think it has become too popular for the amount of space available at victoria conference center. I also didn't think the room was ventilated well enough for so many people. I would support a change in venue. This isnt a criticism of the conference center , theres just ALOT of gardening enthusiasts in victoria...

Very efficient for covid immunizations. -1 star for the headtrip that is waiting 15 minutes after the shot and feeling everything in your body.
