Just a beautiful old building and park like setting. Pretty sure it is another place in Victoria that is supposed to be haunted by the Nun's from the old catholic school it was before. Never seen the ghosts but there are a lot of strange noises that happen on the grounds. You can rent the auditorium out for events. As well you can be on the grounds from Dusk till Dawn as long as your not doing anything stupid.

I went to an outdoor show, and on the coast everything outside gets pretty dewy and damp once the sun goes down, so not my favourite venue.

Wonderful place to stroll around, play fetch with dogs, and explore. Clean grounds with wheelchair access to the main building. Parking out in the back lot is a lesser known space to get nice and close to the core of downtown.

St Ann's is a very unique historic property. A lot of people say it is haunted by the nuns but I haven't ever seen any ghosts myself. The province bought the grounds and restored the building and now they lease out the space as office and the auditorium and chapel for events. The grounds themselves are quite something and worth wandering around if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Victoria. You can also read a wide variety of interpretive sign that are display all throughout the property.

This historic girl's school has been renovated and partially restored. The original central building and Chapel are open to the public and Chapel and auditorium are available for rentals. The Chapel is the only example of French architectural influence west of Winnipeg and is beautifully restored. The gardens are always open and it is well worth a visit.

If you get a chance to tour this fine old edifice, take it. One of its gems is the auditorium, built in the 1850's of redwood panels brought up on the same sailing ships from California with the gold miners.

A really cool historic glimpse into the life of a nunnery. They have set up the space just as it would have been in yesteryear. There is also a beautiful church attached in the back, just next to that there is a hidden garden as well.

At first glance, St. Ann's academy could make a person feel a little uncomfortable. The breaching crucifix hanging from its highest point. The old and pointed metal fence weaving its way around the perimeter, almost challenging you to enter. But enter I did, and I was so happy to enjoy the wonderful sunshine and lovely green space. The old walls and friendly trees made it feel warm and inviting. P.S. Bring good company

We had our wedding ceremony (but not reception) at St. Ann’s in early September 2017. This is an absolutely gorgeous spot for a wedding ceremony and we had several guests actually stop us and ask how we found such as great spot for our wedding. The rules are a bit strict (i.e. no blowing bubbles, we need a specific type of insurance, we must clean up after the ceremony, etc.) but that makes perfect sense once you see the beautiful historic building. Everyone in the office there is amazing to deal with and they even have a planner who helps with the day-of preparation and helps direct everyone during the wedding ceremony. We would highly recommend this site for a wedding ceremony or even just a visit!!

If you are looking for a 1 hr of leisure walk and some good photos this is good place to add to your visit in Victoria (if the chapel is open ) . Nearby there’s also a historic building of the former hospital you can take a good look at.

Auditorium is so beautiful to look at. Staff is not overly friendly, and almost all of the building is closed off to public. We heard there are haunted parts of the building, but they wouldn't let us in to look.
