Best smoked falling-off-the bone beef ribs available on the island. No one smokes beef here, just pork, so this is a welcome treat. Good family event. Not cheap but worth it.

Deliciousness abounded. Lots of food options in addition to pork ribs: beef ribs, chicken, brisket, and cornbread. The Esquimalt High Alumni offer langos, and a lovely family operates a shaved ice cart.

Suggest smoke & bones, other places ran out of beef back ribs real quickly, so we were stuck with the quiet line Grizzly Ribs, my friends wondered why it's so dead and that they have no awards but i told them they are new, and plus we wanted beef... you pay $19 for 4 ribs at Grizzly's. This is such a small amount, even for a tiny girl like me, recommend for next year not to go with them (i see why they aren't as busy compared to others). Avoid Grizzly's and you will be fine

I was a first time participant this year. And was deeply disappointed. I tried Boss Hogs and they were either freezer burnt or precooked and refrigerated. I paid 54 dollars for 12 ribs that were gross. I guess if you drown them in sauce it would be different. Will not get Boss Hogs again.

Every year it sneaks up on us and every year we make it work! Love love love ribfest and so happy that Esquimalt continues to sponsor the event! Noticed this year a bit more diversity with the addition of a few non-rib food trucks, which really makes it an event that everyone can enjoy.

FREEZER BURNT RIBS DON'T CUT IT FOR THE MONEY YOU CHARGE FOR GARBAGE RIBS. WORST RIBS I EVER TRIED TO EAT WE THREW THEM IN THE GARBAGE. THAT IS WERE BOSS HOGS BELONGS.
