Amazing food, reasonable rates and excellent service - the best banquet hall in downtown Victoria!

I eat at Ambrosia every week as a part of a business breakfast meeting. The staff are always smiling... even at 7am! Food is great, but staff make this one of the most pleasant places to have a meeting. Parkade right across the street means I can always find parking, and downtown location is easy to access via public transit.

We had out wedding reception at Ambrosia on Oct.1 2017 and was greatly impressed by the effort of the staff and management. As promised, the food was very good and the cheesecake was the best I had ever had. The owner is the chef and is able to cook many types of cuisine. We chose our meal as buffet style and had many options and more than enough food per person. We felt that the staff was very laid back but got the job done timely. Over all we felt that the planning was effortless and the staff helped us to have a great wedding reception for us and our guests. We are from the U.S. and planned the whole event through email. Great outcome!

The venue itself is fine, but the food, which used to be decent, is now abominable. Some samples of the light snacks: - Cucumber chunks with what looks like cream cheese spray topped with an American olive - Stale baguette with cream cheese and flavorless "lox", and no seasoning beyond a couple green onion scraps - Chicken "satay" that tastes like it's been oversteamed with an industrial-sized bowl of sweet "chili" sauce - The cheapest of deli meat, sausage and liverwurst pate The most appealing thing on offer is the vegetable platter, which seems fresh, but it's accompanied by large bowl of runny Kraft ranch dressing.

Dishes were dirty, table clothes had stains, food was not ready on time and the staff were hard to find. The food was good once it was ready...about 20 min after we had arranged. Perhaps this is an anomaly as I have only been there once and the staff were apologetic but we were not pleased.

Food was good. Great salads. Nice cheesecake. Buffet had lots of food. Was there for a meeting so I can't compare prices. Easy access in the downtown area with a City parkade across the street.

We had our 2018 staff Christmas party of 100 people here. Great place for a staff party and looks like they're setup to handle all kinds of stuff big and small. Food was very good, staff was excellent. we're going back again in 2019. Sound system could be better but if that's important to you bring your own, we danced all night and a few folks complained later so... ????

Terrific venue with outstanding customer service. We booked the hall for a special event, the owner arrived at 6:00 am to help set up and arrange everything, he supplied coffee and muffins for our staff at no charge. Great follow up and support staff, we will certainly book this venue again

I had my wedding reception here and it was perfect. The food was very good, especially the Thai beef. the size was perfect for 125 people and a dance floor with both rooms. It had the right atmosphere and didn't feel crowded or too empty. It was a fantastic price in comparison to surrounding options. All in all I highly recommend working with Ambrosia and letting Brandy help you plan your perfect day.
