Upscale, comfortable and quiet rooms, located right beside Surrey Central transit station. Underground parking ($13/day) is a plus. Drawback is that the outdoor lane pool and whirlpool close seasonally for the winter (other hotels in the area keep their whirlpools open year-round).

Came here to get ready for a friend's wedding and I was shocked at how beautiful the hotel and rooms are. Very clean and modern. The staff was thoughtful and polite. A manager saw us heading to the wedding and offered the bride and bridal party complimentary drinks. Would definitely stay here if I'm in the area again.

Modern hotel that was just constructed over the last two years. Minor room screw up but staff was great at resolving the issue. Nice place to stay for the price. Figuring you will get a much better room with a view if you book at a higher price directly. The only odd thing? There are no electrical outlets anywhere near either side of the bed. Overall a nice place to stay when visiting BC.

My stay was awful, this hotel is not disability or family friendly. I do not recommend staying here is you are disabled or have a family. The checking people moved us 5 rooms first to a one bed room, then to the same type of room with a small bathroom door 3 times until getting it right. I even made sure 2 days before even tho that put a note and made sure they give us a wheelchair accessible room as I did. Overall I do not recommend staying here if you are disabled.

Check in seemed to take a long time, although the gentleman was charming, I just wanted my key after such a long day driving. In bar/restaurant the main course was delivered whilst we were still eating our starter. Room was good. The Civic Hotel overall has great amenities and roomy well appointed rooms. The entire hotel is well maintained and cleanliness is apparent throughout. The only downside is the surrounding areas. Adjacent to the rail system and full of vagrants which would make anyone nervous.

Our second time visiting here. Great service and kind staff. They texted me daily to ensure my stay was good. With the gold elite status, we received a room upgrade and free breakfast was delivered to our room at the time we requested.

I have stayed here three times so far this year and I will be back again and again. The personal touch and care for each guest is wonderful to experience. Thank you once again Marriott.

Excellent service. Bar Fridge delivered within minutes as were Wine glasses Coffee and Towels. Restaurant was exceptional. Provided us with a private area for family dining and the service was superb as well as the menu.

Our favourite part was the lap pool & hot tub. Our daughter enjoyed both very much. Super clean hotel inside & out. Located right by the sky train. Parking was safely secured underground for a fee but convenient. They have a cafe & restaurant inside on the lobby floor, every smelled good but we didn’t partake. Rooms were spacious & clean; bathrooms nearly the same size as the rooms. Comfy beds too!

Located in Surrey BC, about 30 minutes away from Vancouver downtown. We were tourists visiting from Seattle and decided to stay at this hotel for a night. This hotel is close from the border. The hotel itself is very chic and modern. For a platinum member they offer us two breakfast vouchers. The food was mediocre, a typical American buffet brunch. The room was not too large as our room was just the standard king but it was definitely not small. The bathroom mirror was a touch screen which you can change the brightness. The 21st floor view was a plus in the morning and at night. If we revisit Vancouver, then we will definitely stay at this hotel.

This place is wonderful. The staff work hard to make each guest happy. We stayed 3 nights. We used the gym daily and it was pristine, spacious and underused. We had dinner a dominion and it did not disappoint. We had a breakfast package included and it was delicious and fresh. The pool was amazing and clean. If I had a small negative it's very cold. Beautiful hotel. Parking was easy to find, just search City Hall parking, go to p3, park in the area with the blue paint indicating for hotel guests. We loved the view. It was very quiet, completely sound proofed. Breakfast was delivered to our door at the time we requested. It was a full breakfast with piping hot latte and juice. Would definitely stay again.

The reception is responsive and respectful, they provide answer to all your questions without delay. The rooms they provide are gorgeous and the view are just as spectacular, especially at night. Any request, they are just a text/call away.

This place is nice. Lobby is well designed and spacious, and contains a cafe and what looks like a (pretty popular) bar. Elevators require key cards to use, probably to keep out unwanted guests. Rooms are nice, they out some thought into the design and quality of the furniture and decorations. Room however does not include a fridge, which is a little annoying but not enough to take away a star, it might not be a priority for other guests. I like the fact that you can opt out of housekeeping and they will instead plant a tree for every day they don't do it (I opted for it).

Held a work event here and it was really good! Nancy and the rest of the events team were incredibly flexible and helpful throughout the whole process. Didn't stay in the rooms, but one of the staff remarked that it was the nicest hotel he had stayed at!

I was here for 3 weeks. Great stay. Just FYI, there isn't any air conditioning in the rooms. Once the sun comes in the large windows you can't cool off the room until 9PM. Opening the windows helps but there is lots of pedestrian traffic and sirens through out the night. (It's Surrey) Will stay again once the AC gets installed or in the cooler months.

Worked a filming job here. It's a dog friendly hotel! They had a sponsored golf putting giveaway, had to buy a bucket of beer or oysters to be able to tee up ???? Prado coffee downstairs. Chocolate and vanilla syrup made in house! Did I mention dog friendly hotel? Also it's somehow connected to a university too... Parking was secure enough, but never saw a guard. Nice staff. If I could give this hotel no stars I would, never in my life have I ever experienced such poor service and outrageous pricing. I helped a friend who had been screwed over by a landlord who had rented their place to more than one person and put her and her two kids and dog out on the street. This was the only hotel in the area that had availability and even though it was more expensive she was at least able to have beds for her kids to sleep in for two nights while she desperately tried to find a place. I booked online through hotwire and went with her at check in to make sure everything was ok, she does not have a credit card so I had to pay the pet fee and they wanted 100 per night for deposit and incidentals, When I called they informed me that they would not extend her stay without me being present with my credit card. I told them I was unavailable so they sent me an authorization form via email but informed me that they would not honor the hotwire rate and that i needed to provide another 100 deposit on top of the 200 they already had. they have emailed me three times and have called me to harass me for the money. Never in my life have I come across this situation or been treated so poorly by a hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and will be filing complaints with hotwire and the BBB about their conduct

Stayed 2 nights for a work conference in Surrey. Decided to check out the Civic Hotel as it was close to my meetings. WOW...what a delight. Staff were amazing and my room was very comfortable after a long day. Went to Dominion Bar + Kitchen for happy hour and was really good. Will be for sure staying again at the beautiful hotel.

Walking in your greeted with the most friendly staff. Everyone is so accommodating and so friendly. The rooms are great. The food at the restaurant is a must try. The location is very convenient central to everything. Long term or short, business or Leaside. This is a great place to stay!

I have lifetime platinum Elite status with Marriott. I stay in a lot of hotels. There was a movie being shot in the hotel lobby and I was blocked from entering at one point. I had to wait outside and wait for them to finish. I was late for my meeting. No one mentioned anything about the movie when I checked in. No one cared when I complained. The rooms are like a college dorm. Loud. Small. Horrible stay.

Hotel looked wonderful online and was nice but no fridge in the rooms and the area was very sketchy. When we checked in, we were told the restaurant would be open for at least an hour more. When brought everything to our room then came right down to be told they were closing early. We won’t be coming back unfortunately.

This hotel is stunning. Checked in just before the heatwave hit to escape the hot air and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Even as the hotel rapidly filled with guests seeking to do the same as me - Banan and Andra specifically were AMAZING and could not have been more accommodating. Loved it here and the pool was a big bonus! Only thing id change is id add a spa if they were upgrading but the beds were comfortable, the rooms were super clean (and I have OCD so trust me, I check!) and I felt like my every whim was accommodated.

I stayed here for 5 weeks once I came to Vancouver Area for work. The room was clean, bed and pillows were excellent. Front Desk Staff were amazing. They have great breakfast delivered to the room on demand. Steps to the SkyTrain. Dominion Bar offers great food selection for dinner. Wifi was great (300 mbps), stable and fast wired connection (1000 mbps). Great for people who have to complete some work from home, game or watch Netflix or movies. During my stay, they upgraded their TV system to allow streaming wirelessly to the TV. Modern phone shower. Overall 5/5 experience. Would definitely come again if I need a hotel in the area.

We stayed for one night at Civic Hotel and from the very start, our experience was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and our room was so clean and beautiful.

Preety decent experience. We stayed 7 nights there. We booked through their website but when we checked in there was some misunderstanding related to price however the management solved the issue. They are very kind and helpful. One more thing to consider is that they have two different buildings one is residential( the high tower) and the other one beside it is hotel which is only 22 floor building. So if you are looking for high rise tower experience that would not be your choice. Lastly, they offer housekeeping services on request, it would be nice if they provide it Daily without any request.

No fridge. No microwave. No continental breakfast and have to pay for parking. I stay in a lot of hotels because I work out of town, but I can not recollect ones that has no mini fridge. Room is clean, but tiny. Might be a good hotel if you want to be right next to a train station and don't have a vehicle.
