REVIEWS OF Burns Bog Delta Nature Reserve IN Delta

Devon Farmer

Really interesting park. Boardwalks are pretty well maintained, but I can see how some might need some attention in the future. I was very surprised how different the forest and nature was from other typical local costal forests. Worth checking out.

Victoria A. Fraser

Always a nice place to walk or take a bike ride. Picnic tables around too for eating your lunch. You may see the odd coyote!

YamWarrior

Great outdoor space that can help de-stress and invigorate. Meandering boardwalks through a lush forest and boggy tea field. This is my close-to-home go-to place for some time to think.

Dean

Beautiful!

Snips Parsnips

The best place for a walk anywhere in Delta. So beautiful. There are even informative signs explaining how the bog is made. 10/10

You can park at Planet Ice. Find the trail at the East side of the parking lot and head under highway 91. Walk along a trail with a small creek and you will come across a few entry points into the Reserve. It is pretty much all wooden boardwalk from there which is nice. Can be slippery in the wetter months but they have mesh nailed down on most if not all the trail - just be careful when its wet and slippery! This is one of the few ways to experience part of Burns Bog (even though this is a small section cut off by Hwy 91 from the larger Bog ). Noise from the highway detracts a bit but still a nice place for a walk.

Parking and trail access is by Planet Ice. There is an underpass under the highway. Take the leftmost gravel path. The entrance to the trail is grungy, but the boardwalk trail is very lush and beautiful. It is very close to the highway so it isn't the most peaceful quiet place to go. It is a paved pathway to a gravel pathway to a wooden boardwalk with planks (most of the path is boardwalk). There are spaces between planks - up to about 3 fingers worth (so little dog feet can easily slip through). The platform is a little over a meter wide. It is a mostly flat slope but not all the boards are perfectly level. I would think it's wheelchair accessible but probably not accessible for those with crutches and other mobility aids. The trail is one way - enter from the north side and exit on the south side and complete the loop counterclockwise. The loop and back to my car, at a leisurely walking pace, took under an hour.

Cee Si

Beautiful. Poor on signage.

Kurtis Morrison

Great place for dogs and kids

chelsea mckenzie

Lovely walk, we go every season. The boardwalk can get very slippery when wet so stick to the grated portion and watch out for bits that have come loose, I tripped over grate that wasn't nailed down. Park at the ice rink and go from there.

Curt Barton (Big Daddy)

It is a really, really nice place to go for a nice outdoor event that you will enjoy ????????????????

Timothy Tucker

Beautiful walk but a little washed out at a few points. Think the main trail beside the creek needs some attention at a few spots to help keep path from washing out but otherwise it's a beautiful piece of nature so close to home!!!

Jeff Wales

Currently the bog has a section it is losing to the construction of a freeway. Hopefully, it will recover and be as nice as it was before.

Andrew Adamson

It's a nice place to take a walk, dogs are allowed too. It would be nice if they had some bags for the less prepared dog owners though...

Linda T

Good walk

Chelsea Pavich

We absolutely love this place no matter the weather it's always gorgeous and enjoyed by all!

Tariq Azeem

Great place. It is quite relaxing to walk through the trail (boardwalk). One feels really connected to nature/forest. However, throughout the walk one can hear the noise from nearby highway.

Ryan Smith

Favorite place to go for a run or long walk

Daryl Dias

Love this place, growing up in north delta, I have walked in the bog for miles. Great place to be anytime of day, but make sure you walk with a buddy just to be safe. This land should be protected for generations to come.

Jennifer Oehler

The park is very nice but there's no parking lot that we could find (and this is not an easy place to bus to) We had to park at the ice rink. Also, bikes should not be allowed on the boardwalk. This seems obvious to anyone who's not riding a bike.

Daniel Brookshire

Fantastic boardwalk, in an unspoiled slice of nature. Great place to go for a morning stroll with a cup of coffee.

Dave Dundas

A little damp on the lower trail this time of year, but the upper trail is still perfectly fine.

Ben Liman

Probably one of my favourite parks in Greater Vancouver. Its a bit hard to get to, but definitely worth the drive!

Dennis Bowles

Great place to go for a walk, see some nature and get away for an hour or so. Nice elevated boardwalks allow you to go here year round. Don't forget to find the sunken tractor

Matthew Witt

Great place for a walk... You'll need gumboots if it's winter or had been raining recently as the main trail is often flooded. Also, be sure to access via Planet Ice rather than follow Google maps.

b Low

Very diverse and different scenarios compared to majority of the lower mainland's natural environment.

Neill M

An excellent walking trail for families. Runs along train tracks and a stream filled with fish! The bog itself is 90% shaded, so great to avoid summer sun AND you can spot lots of unique wildlife that call the bog home! My only criticism is that there is no signage to tell you where you are going! Street parking can be found around the bog area.

Nilisha Pratap

It is an excellent place to go for a walk but you have to be a bit careful of some of the rotten boards here and there. They do replace the boards though! Nonetheless, an amazing place to talk a stroll. Can still see the tractor ????

Lukasz Wieczorek

Note that Google Maps will not lead you to the correct location! The Burns Bog Delta Nature Reserve is accessible only from the Planet Ice parking lot.

Will Stearn

Gorgeous nature subzones, shady paths, birds, trees, owls, ravens, dogs okay. Relaxing rejuvenating walk.

Mark Robles

Beautiful (mostly) untouched nature trove. Lush nature and cool history to boot. I hope this remains preserved for years to come for generations to enjoy!

Rob Kwalheim

This is a place every Lower Mainlander must visit. Once you are down there, look for the entrance to the board walks of which there are a few. This is a unique ecosystem in the the world. Beautiful. Bring your dog but please keep him/her on the leash; this is a delicate place. Enjoy.

Fazila Patel

Amazing trail to go too. Beautiful nature for all ages. Enjoy.

D C

Great place to go walk or meditate!

sweetiguess

A beautiful trail. Can easily get lost for hours.

Mia Brulhart

Best park in Delta. Trails go on for miles, beautiful creek, lots of lovely people and puppies.

Barinder Singh

Good place for a walk with family

Alan Major

Quite good, lots of trails close due of much rain lately, a good nature walk .

Pete Cordoni

Well worth the trip to North Delta! Boardwalk is at least 6kms, and it has a plethora of Wildlife. Including Beaver Dams, Eagles, Woodpeckers, etc... The trail meanders through the Forest and along creeks. One can even Journey South to Mud Bay. Great vista's, once you get away from the Forests. When transiting across the BNR Rail Track, Be Cautious, as the Amtrak Train moves Fast and is quieted by the trees. To see the Heart and Lungs of this size of Peat Bog for the Vancouver Lower Mainland is Awesome!

Shane Todhunter

Nice place for a walk. Find the buried tractor ????

fusion1811

Trails with no elevation gain but boardwalks and creeks. You see baby fish in the creek. Great for people to come cycling with ur family.

PerryKari G

We have been living right next to Burns Bog for over 20 years now and we love it. Owls, deer and many species of birds call this Nature Reserve their home. There is a creek you can walk, bike or jog next to that will connect you to the several Board Walks that have been created for all to enjoy. It is surprising how close it is to Vancouver and yet it does not feel inundated with people. Best place for visitors to park is at the Ice Rink to access the trails. There is a loop you can walk that will take about an hour. Just be careful while crossing the train tracks if you bring your dog or kids but if you are on the boardwalk you don't have to worry about this. Also, bring water because although for a good part on the boardwalk you are being sheltered by the tree tops it can still get pretty warm in the summer.

Daniel Naumann

Decided to go today during rainfall. Tried last year same time but wasn't prepared for the floods so this time wore rain boots. Good thing to as at the deepest part on the Delta-South Surrey Regional Greenway Access Trail it was 12 inches …

Rocky Kahlon

Very nice short walk in a controlled natural reserve, can get flooded, we had lots of fun with kids running around in water puddles

Frank L.

Nice local trial for a hike within the forest. Definitely, a place to check out if you're into a nice quiet hike.

Oshen Vulpardes

This is a great spot to escape the city for a bit. Very well kept park and lots of effort to preserve the water (and the Salmon).

Jonathan Mason

A great walk. The wooden trails are perfect. Learn a little by reading the info signs if you'd like. Or just enjoy nature. This place is beautiful.

James King

A beautiful place filled with fascinating plant life. This is the largest domed bog in North America, and a very sensitive ecosystem, which makes it well worth a visit. Despite the sensitivity of the ecosystem, dogs are welcome, but try to stay on the boardwalk.

Jordan

A nice place for a short walk, just be sure to wear the appropriate footwear.

Alyan Ali

Great for biking

Sandy Hills Sandys Second Hands

Enjoyable!

Rosa Rezansoff

PATH IS COMPLETELY FLOODED JUST PAST THE PLANET ICE TRAIL. Tall rain boots needed to cross

Diane Askin

Great place for a walk. Easy access from Planet Ice GPF parking lot. Lots of benches for rests if needed

Henry Kuan

Very condusive path for a jog or walk. Fantastic!

Tiffany Cheung

My first time here and had to worst experience. Parking is not shown on google maps and was at lost as to where to park. There was a huge puddle at the beginning we had to carefully cross with my dog thrown over one shoulder (which should’ve been a sign for me to turn back but noooo we kept going). Planks were missing in the loop of the bog and had huge gaps everywhere, my dog lost one of her shoes bc she kept tripping in them. Had to walk on the narrow mesh installed or else I would slip and die. The walk was filled with traffic noises and distracted me from all the nature. By the time we finished the loop and went back on the main trail to go back to the car, it was completely flooded. Tried to tread through it but the mud almost engulfed me and my dog so we decided to go to higher grounds since we saw another trail that branched off on the other side. With completely soaked shoes, we crossed the train tracks and 5 minutes later the train came by and PARKED there so we couldn’t cross again to get back to the parking lot. Was lost and pitch dark. Eventually made our way back to the beginning of the trail next to the parking lot which was flooded too so we had to jump on to unflooded areas until we reached the parking lot (almost tripped and died). I’m sure this is an amazing trail on most days but after this experience I am never coming back and I am pretty sure the two fires that happened at this bog was set by people who had the same experience as us.

Travis Howell

Great place to enjoy nature and walk your dog...

Tess Mena

Great place to take the kids for a beautiful nature walk.

Chelsey G

Love this hidden little gem! Nice, easy little walk with beautiful scenery. There's so much to see here, and the sunken tractor gets the kids so excited.

Lucas Ganotise

It looks a great place

Johnathan Booy

Great place to take your dog for a walk

Tim

Your dog will surely not be disappointed when you walk them here. Plenty of places for them to lay down and roll in filth if that's what they're into. Also lots of placea for them to bathe and wash off.

jason du toit

Great spot for a quick dog walk!

Steven Leeson

WoW is there alot of frogs at this location lol . Construction planning at its finest Great work Guys and Gals

Andy Aras

A unique and fragile ecosystem with a walking trail and boardwalks. Here you can find the carnivorous sundew plant! Don't worry, it won't eat you - it's flower is only the size of your finger nail. Occasionally, guided nature walks are organized through here. I highly recommend it! On a hot summer's day, this is a cool, shady place to come for a leisurely walk.

Rod&Debbie Reid

A beautiful place for walking and sharing times with a friend.

Dianne Wone

Easy free parking and access by the GPF ice rink. Burns Bog summer day camp was great for my son even with rainy weather. He enjoyed the camp leaders and increased his appreciation of the bog.

Pavlo Ivanov

You will never find this spot using Google Maps. A Lookout is the only ten square meters of grass with two benches on it. So frustrated.

Brian Jenkins

Sadly due to the part of town it's in garbage and industry are a problem intrusivly

missusv8

Great day

Kirk Bratvold

A lovely place for a quick stroll through nature, minutes away from the city.

Chris Albert de Leon

My back yard and happy place

Katie Poetsch

Perfect light stroll for any time of year. Very cute, great place to walk and chat. Would be a great date place! :)

Darren Kirby

A nice enough park with a creek and wetlands section and also a woodland section. My biggest complaint is that you cannot get away from the noise of traffic and airplanes flying overhead. It sort of ruined the nature experience for me.

fthebuyer

Fun for dogs but mind the uncontrolled train crossings, passenger trains are really quiet. Also wear tall boots, the path along the creek floods and gets pretty deep in places.

Vikram S

Very nice park. Great for nature tours and hikes. Lots of history and guides tours are available by a small donation to the Burns Bog society.

YOGA PETE

Incredible sea level flood plane with nature trails and indigenous flora. Organised tours and walking groups. Good for year round enjoyment. It is the Lungs of the Vancouver Lower Mainland and the Fraser River Delta.

Helen Edley

The park is lovely. We met a metro Vancouver parks operator who said that some very busy beavers are actively damming the creek and the flooding is causing some trees along the trail to die. We were geocaching and he wished us well on our hunt :).

sajan s

Good outdoors space in Delta off the highway

Ryan Wolf

A very diverse nature experience. This walk through the park will take you through different ecosystems of a bog and you should see some wildlife. Busier days reveal fewer animals, but even on a peak Saturday I have seen humming birds, crane and plenty of smiling puppies.

Simon Liu

Wonderful vacation hiking experience at your backyard.

Jayden Watson

This park is a good place to come and relax. Perfect to get out of the urban environment if you don't have much time to go elsewhere, and great for biking. You can enjoy walking on the dirt and gravel paths, as well as some boardwalks. …

isaac oommen

The rains flooded the path to it, but lovely walk

Merwise Hamidi

It's great for walking! I have yet to see it all but I will certainly go back soon.

Naveen R

Nice place

Will Miller

Always a beautiful place to walk your dog or just take in nature , or listen to the man that plays his trumpet under the bridge on 72nd

Reagan Cheong

Awesome place for a stroll. Just bring waterproof boots if you plan to come visit after it's been rained on. And beware of slippery surface.

E C

Nice place for a short easy walk in the bog. This is the only part of the bog in Delta that you can visit. There is the open part of the bog a and forested part of the bog. The trails are on a wooden boardwalk.

Neil W. Humphrey

Out of this world experience in the Metro area. Developers should not touch the Bog!!!

Ronnie Kelly

Love the trails, the history is nice. We have enjoyed the nature of Burns Bog for decades

Hillbillytc

Great little walk all.flat

Susan Coleman

A lot of people in the parking lot! Beautiful creek and path - perfect for a walk.

Sanjib Dutta

Nice cool place to go for a walk. Great for taking your dog for a walk, too. It's quiet as there are no crowds. Saw tiny snakes resting in the shade as well as fish in the Cougar Creek. Watch out for coyotes, though we did not see any.

LANMonkey GC

A very pleasant walk any time of year. There are no facilities here so plan ahead. Boardwalk can be slippery when wet so wear appropriate footwear and use caution. In the summer this walk has a perfect mix of sun and shade to make for an enjoyable loop walk.

Kyle Isaac

What a lovely frolic through the nature reserve ... Just don't wander too far off the wooden boardwalk/walking path!

Gabrielle De Winter

The air is sweet and fresh. It’s a pleasant escape from the city. It’s a nice place to hear song birds, watch baby fish swim in the stream and spy the occasional shy and harmless garter snake. The paths are well maintained and are mostly …

Jennifer Washburn

Walking by the creek is beautiful❤️

Oliver Rondou

4 stars great place. nothing was reserved for us tho...

Dallas Singh

Nicely well kept area! Several different trails to walk on. The lower path can get muddy and uneven sometimes, so make sure you come with good walking attire. Excellent place to come for bike rides as well. But you can't ride your bike on …

Kevin Robertson

Beautiful place to walk. Quiet and peaceful. There is also a little stream that runs past part of the trail.

Michael McBurnie

The inner loop is quite nice. It's a peaceful walk along a boardwalk which the bog is trying hard to reclaim - bushes encroaching along the sides and rotting away the wooden slats. That's a neat aesthetic. The outer loop is less peaceful - the highway is visible and audible along much of it.

Jinder Dhillon

I'm in love with trails running through Burns Bog.

Tara Leduc

We are so lucky to have this peaceful green space in North Delta. One of our favorite dog walks!

Waji's Travel Vlogs

I had no idea it would be like that! A total forest with trails that go on for miles and I had only gone there for a small event but ended up walking 8km! Parked my car by 72 ave as google suggested and the event was by the Nordel Way! Not a great and clear information for this place online! But a great place to enjoy nature and go out for a walk!

Chucho Godinez (GasparIlom)

A very important natural reserved land. Great trail

Kenny BRYSON

Nice walk with the dogs. Though I would recommend walking around with a pocket knife incase of coyotes

Alannah Banovac

The directions to the bog are not accurate The access from planet ice is the easiest with parking. The beginning of the trail could really use some attention. A gravel road full of pot holes. But once you get to the bog it’s really beautiful. It’s nicely planked with a wooden trail and a good non slip, a very pretty place.

Tim “Khaos” Brattkus

Beautiful place! My new favorite spot I guess ????

Charles Karpiuk

Great for biking and dog walking.

Michelle Tranquillo-Talosig

Nice to visit during wintertime.

Victor Tam

I recommend taking caution while on the boardwalk. There can be broken planks and larger than expected gaps. Easy peasy other than the boardwalk issues. …

sheri cormier

Awesome beautiful walk

Christine Dunkley

We go every day weather permitting we are there 3-4 hours just love it

Joanna Tseng

Generally pretty. Occasionally can hear traffic and people smoking

Chris L

Great place for a little walk. Come and enjoy the unique bog flora. (If you look closely, you may even find some carnivorous plants!) Normally accessible to all ages and fitness levels, with no elevation change and almost no steps. However, in the winter especially, the wet boardwalk can get very slippery (stay on the wire mesh), and occasionally the gravel access path gets flooded.

Daniel Linhart

Nice place to go for a walk but it's quite noisy as the highway is very close

juan twait

Lovely peaceful quite For locals any chance of cats eyes where the steps are ?

105 Hikes: B.C. Guidebooks by Stephen Hui

Excellent winter walking. Beware of flooding though. Gum boots advised!

Miles Hunter

Great place to go for a walk and get away from city life. Tranquil peaceful surroundings.

Jeremy Hannaford

Nice little walk through a bog!

Braedan Dale

Great little local walk, needs a little bit of love after the wind storm in some parts.

Kate Neufelt

Pleasant walk through the bog

Oliver R

I go here whenever I need to think to myself or relax. It's so easy to get so caught up in life that I forget to take time to myself. And Burns bog helps me be sane. That boardwalk is maintained well and overall always have a nice experience walking there.

Walter Ramos

Wonderful place peace and quiet at times , great for a walk or run with family , friends , or if you want to go on the trails on your bike is simply wonderful !! Check it out !

Savannah McKenzie

Burns bog is beautiful no matter what time of year. It's a bit of a long walk for young kids but the terrain is easy. It is dog friendly, but please leash your dog's! I like to walk my dogs there but one of my dogs is very nervous of strange dogs and it's really stressful when other dog owners just let their dogs run around or run up to us with no leash.

G Poon

So nice!

Aimée Cho

This is a great place to walk or ride a bike with a group or by yourself with your dog. Make sure you bring what you need with you (water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent) and plan to pack out your garbage as this is an environmentally sensitive nature reserve.

matt kaiser

Great trails, calm and peaceful. Boardwalks in great shape and people add warnings in areas that need repair. Very clean as well.

Mitch Strohhacker

Nature air filter. Nothing beats walking here. Birds chirping, surrounded by lushes green and all sorts of fascinating plants and fungi.

Jayme Kennedy

Such a beautiful oasis in a suburban area. A real gem for dog walkers, cyclists, nature enthusiasts and locals alike.

Eric Emery

If you love nature and want to stay close this is the place

Richard H

Interesting place but I'm sure it is mich better there than the winter

Alex Schumann

Great place to go for a walk or ride your bike. Minimal elevation and lots of cool things to see.

Treesa Jose

Interesting place. Good for a stroll or a run. Very peaceful and well kept trails. You can even find some carnivorous plants.

Colm Shephard

Burns bog is great for myself because it's close to my home.I have a large dog and many others who walk it do as well along with all sizes.Just a heads up most let there dogs of leash free as do I the trails are amazing well kept and the people you run into happy to say hello and right now witch trail is washed out but summer , fall ,winter ,spring it's amazing imagine Stanley Park with 99% less people

Ben Tyler

One of the best hikes I've done in a long time. We parked at GPF and used the access trail at the east end of the parking lot. The only issue was that the main trail was flooded for about 25 metres, so I don't recommend going right after heavy rain.

Jack Li

Just a walk in the woods. Parking is near the Planet Ice Delta and then walk there. If you just follow google map to get there, there is no parking lots at all

Sandra Brice

A jewel in the midst of the urban landscape. A lovely nature retreat.

Mike Magyar

Just a good place to visit. Watch out for white owls in autumn.

Sarah syed-chaudhry

Beautiful walk through the bog. Calm and peaceful. Ensure to wear appropriate footwear as it can get very muddy and slippery due to rain. It's a bit difficult to find parking. A good few hours of lush beauty.

JBall

Great way to get your steps in while seeing beautiful scenery!

Katherine Au-Yeung

A good place to hike、to ride the bike ,& a walk with your pets. You can see different kinds of wild flowers, birds and insects. You're walk under the shadow of the trees from time to time. It's a place for family to relax & enjoy a day.

Karen Sorenson

Beautiful quiet place for a walk, but can be really muddy in times of wet weather. Trails are not maintained so you can often come across Fallen trees or broken walkways. After a few days of rain, the lower path is pretty much inaccessible due to flooding.

Richard Vogt

Good trails , needs more drainage lines

lennie rowley

great place for a walk we follow the boardwalk on the large trail then do the small trail it is suppose to be one direction as at exit there are signs do not enter but everytime we go someone comes wrong way

Travis Burgie

Loved the board walks on the trail, just wished it was more swampy looking or slightly flooded

Sherry Stevenson

So much fun to visit a different Costco

Mat Corns

An absolute GEM of the Lower Mainland! It is a great place to go for a walk and connect with nature! It is always clean and trails go on for miles!

Karl

This is a great walk for dogs, kids or lovers of nature. It can be chillie at night and in the morning. Follow the signs as there is some maintenance on going. For a short, easy nature walk it can't be beat!

Cathleen Cassidy

So peaceful. Nice wooden plant trail. We mistaken thought we could ride bikes through here - u could on the gravel trail - not sure how far that goes. But we walked out bikes on the wooden trail. It can be up to 3 or 4 feet high and is a bit narrow. Def not for riding bikes. Also winds around so u might not see someone coming. We only saw a few people the whole time though. The wooden path had broken bits and some spaces in between planks so our little dogs had a bit of a tricky time walking on it.

Dasha Savchenko

Amazing quiet place

Anu Kay

The lower bog was flooded. We could only walk 1.6miles in total. Won’t go there during winter.

Raincouver

There’s many entrances to this place. We found a small entrance by Monroe and Barrymore Dr. This bog is a scenic walk, not a hike. Although very tranquil.

hayley smith

Awesome walk. Light traffic noise nothing to bad.

Graham Fernie

Quiet place to walk in the early morning, may see owls, deer, beaver, rabbits and other things. Like the green space we need to keep it.

Leif Waechter

Nice quiet place to go for a stroll

Joby Matwick

Good place to let the dogs run around free nice little creek many species of birds

Mark M

this place is just the best. its so beautiful and its such a huge park to explore. but dont stay out past dark. definitely somewhere you can get lost at night.

Julie Wong

Little hidden gem. Love the boardwalk and the interpretation signs. Some parts do need repairs as the wooden boards has aged and rotted through the years. The scenery is nice, hard to believe it's next to the highway in some parts.

SQR H

Lovely place to go for a walk. Flat terrain with very wide main trail. Side trails are boardwalk, which are taped off at the moment. As another poster mentioned, you can park at Planet Ice. There is a park sign on east side of parking lot, and this is where the trail begins.

Rufius Baxterousle

Quiet place after dark, good place for owl watching as they tend to come to you and sit on a branch nearby; Lots of different species and quite a few with 3ft.wingspans. Plenty of fish to see in the creeks running thru too. Very peaceful and "zen".

Sly Fox

Favorite place for a walk quite trails dog friendly on leash.

Diana Gopp

Great place to walk your dog. You can choose a variety of different paths.

Josh

Beautiful place for walk

sean semke

You like walking? You like trees? You like the sound of traffic in the distance? You like almost slipping and falling into the bog? Then this is the place for you!

Allin One

Great hike. Interesting paths

Todd Bailey

Really good walking trails. Dog owners need to remember that this is not an off leash area and to.pick up Thiers dog poop.

jahthrill Davis

Long trail forresty bike is better

Piotr Wojtowicz

Nice neighborhood, lots of great decorations for Christmas

Brock Aura

I have wanted to make the trek out to Burns Bog for a while, and finally made my way over a week ago. It’s a strange entrance to the pathway as you park in the Planet Ice parking lot and take a short path before you enter the bog. There are a couple of loops you can take depending on how much time you have. I took the longest loop and walked slowly, stopping a couple of times and it took just over an hour. It’s a nice easy walk with no elevation gain and a number of informational placards. It is wheelchair and stroller friendly, but it can get quite bumpy in sections and there are some broken/rotten boards. Overall, a nice walk to go on with the kids or to find some quiet in the middle of the city.

Gurpreet Kundi

Nice peaceful area to take a walk and enjoy nature

Liam LePocher

This park is amazing especially once you reach the boardwalks. Its is often quiet and the forest has been left in its natural state. If you want a good place to hike or get a breath of fresh air I'd highly recommend it.

Sarah Clements

Wonderful place to escape the city life thats still within the city. Able to get there using transit too. Not many garbage cans so please pick up after yourself while there. Be mindful to stay on the paths provided due to some areas being swamp like and you may sink. All around beautiful and quiet. Bring masks cuz there are still people using the area. And you can't always keep 6ft apart. Wonderful for kids too.

Andrew Stoll

Love this place but dog owners please leash and clean up after your dog. It's so beautiful here and I'd like to see it stay that way.

Gursewak Dulai

Great place to go for a walk. A little muddy on rainy days. Pet friendly. A very friendly place

Jayson Dong

burns bog is an amazing place to go to to get some fresh air. there are many different plants to see and its a good place to go for a walk. 11/10

Real Go

Best place ever

G. Bradley MacDonald

Wondrrful place to go for a walk. Parts of the walk you can hear the highway but it is easy to ignore. The walk way is pretty good but does need some repairs in some areas. All in all a good relaxing walk. Enough people there to feel safe while walking but few enough that you feel a sense of privacy.

R A

Nice trails but a bit tricky to find parking. Have to park at planet ice and walk on the service road to get in.

nyuen

This place is located in North Delta bordering Surrey. It's not easy to get to by public transit. If you can drive then you can park by the ice rink which is free. There is a circuit of trails in this park and you can even bring you dog for a walk (bring your leash in case and some poo bags!).

Debra Naujoks

Good idea to wear knee high boots. Lots of big puddles and mud on the offshoot trails. Tons of fun!

Gerald Castilho

I especially lik the planked walkway through the Bog. There is also a nice eating place near River Road called Tidewater Pub

Cliff Steeves

Trails are clean and well maintained. People you meet on the trailer very friendly as well perfect area for walking dogs

Wyatt Scott

Nice for a quick little stop if you're in the area. Something to do and we had a nice stretch for the legs. Always good to get some fresh air or you can take a little lunch with you and make an afternoon of it.

Ken To

Beautiful gem hidden in the city.

Misbah Naseer

Beautiful and serene walk in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a very busy highway. There is a boardwalk you can follow along which takes you through the bog. …

Joe Kan

The best place to go biking!

Ken K

Great place to go for a walk or ride your bike. Minimal elevation and lots of cool things to see. Make sure you check out the boardwalk.

Andy Mossop

Favourite walk in the Metro Vancouver. The boardwalk scenery changes so much. Lots of animals, friendly people.
