We absolutely loved Mckenzie! She did our engagement photos and was our photographer for our entire wedding day in Fernie. She is incredibly personable and very bubbly and energetic. She is very good at telling her subjects exactly what to do and where to stand to orchestrate beautiful shots. She had several great ideas of where to shoot her photos, and is very in touch with the lighting and views in the Fernie area. It was so special to have Mckenzie as a very important part of our wedding day, and we truly loved her presence. We felt that she was there to capture all the best moments of the day which made it so that no family members felt that they needed to take any photos at all. We are forever grateful.

McKenzie has done numerous photo shoots for us. From goofy shoots with our friends to capturing our engagement and wedding, she’s done it all. She has been there for pregnancy announcements, newborn shoots, and now gives us the most amazing family photos. I’ve heard of how long it takes some people who have used other photographers to get their pictures, but McKenzie has always given us ours extremely fast. My husband and I aren’t always the most serious or easy to work with people (neither are our kids and dogs), but McKenzie always gets incredible shots. She even won an award for one of our engagement pictures. Our favourite pictures from her have to be from our wedding. She found the perfect spots for us for our special day. McKenzie has done so much to help us remember so many important moments for our family. She’s been there since the very beginning and I couldn’t imagine using anyone other than her.

Mckenzie took our wedding photos, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! She was professional and prompt from the get go. Our photos are more beautiful than we could have imagined, and we have so many to chose from! The sneak peak shots she sent the next day are still our favourites, and she had all of the photos to us within a couple months. She was kind, relaxed, and happy throughout the process. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a photographer. I imagine she would be great to work with for family portraits as well. Where do I even BEGIN?! Mckenzie is an absolute joy to work with and I am so incredibly glad we chose her to photograph our big day! With COVID 19 protocols changing constantly we decided on a very quick "elopement" in the Kootenays (we live in Cranbrook). AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about Mckenzie. She took our wedding photos and we fell in love with them as soon as we received our sneak peek photos which was only a 2 or 3 days after our wedding and the rest came about a month later! Our photos take me back to the day so vividly, thats everything I could ask for! Mckenzie was very professional, very relaxed (she helped keep me relaxed too, I knew I was in good hands), she is very personable and fun. She was even able to get my husband to relax and enjoy the experience which can be a challenge. We felt very comfortable with Mckenzie and the photos we would be getting from her of our big day! She was awesome, I am constantly recommending her to anyone I know in need of a photographer. Her gallery alone speaks for itself, but the couples and families she has photographed can speak for her! I think anyone who has worked with her probably says the same thing and I would hands down I would have Mckenzie as a photographer again!

Mckenzie quite literally saved our wedding day. Two days before the wedding our photographer cancelled. My maid of honor swung into action and Mckenzie very kindly agreed to step in short notice. Although the experience was very stressful I would not have changed it if I could, because it meant we ended up with marvelous Mckenzie. She swooped in and worked her magic, capturing big and small moments. We are so happy with how many fun candid pictures she produced for us, capturing little moments between our guests we would otherwise have been oblivious to. She also rocked the posed pictures, as the bride I could completely relax as Mckenzie (not even knowing anyone!) had complete control of moms, dads, brothers and uncles. She also had a lot of lovely ideas for poses and framing, all the time giving instructions in a way that felt fun and relaxing. She was also totally open to feedback if there was a shot we wanted, and rolled with whatever we suggested. I’m not a huge fan of being photographed, but with her it felt relaxed, safe and fun. Her editing is super, she caught some absolutely beautiful shots of us in the sunset, and they look magical. Her online album is perfect and easy to share with whomever you wish. She’s funny, easy going, quick and (most importantly) a great photographer. Our friends and family are all very happy with the photos as well, and we’ve gotten so much positive feedback. I can’t recommend her enough. Stop looking. You’ve found your photographer.

If I could give any advice if you’re looking to have Mckenzie photograph your big day, DO IT RIGHT NOW. I really worried booking a photographer for our wedding, there’s all the pressure with it being the one thing you gave to look back on so many years later; I could not be more thankful we booked with Mckenzie! She definitely over delivered, not a single photo we don’t love. She managed to capture each and every special moment, but also was talented enough to capture the emotion in each photo. We cannot thank her enough for her absolute professionalism (but still being fun so it wasn’t lame) and her talent was like no other! We got engaged over Christmas, and instantly started looking for a photographer to do our engagement shoot, we found McKenzie and loved her style of work so figured why not! Well right from the start she’s been amazing! Such a quick response when we first inquired (probably half an hour). The only info we really gave was that we wanted a snowy mountain engagement shoot, we picked February 10th and we weren’t disappointed! McKenzie picked a couple locations for us, which were perfect! As we also changed times slightly on the day of to get into the golden hour better as she watched the for the sunset time the day before! We all braved the polar vortex and did the shoot in roughly -35°C! So considering conditions and how we are as people, she was just the right amount of bossy professionalism we needed to not freeze our butts off and actually end up with frost bite. She was able to give us (total photo shoot newbies) poses quickly and efficiently and that we were comfortable with to keep things moving along! We got even more photos back than expected, and they capture everything I could possibly want! Price was by far the best I could find and workmanship not lost because of the reasonable price! We weren’t initially looking to have McKenzie as our actual wedding photographer because we plan on getting married in Nova Scotia, but after our shoot and how much we love her work, we are looking to book her for our upcoming wedding and any future photo shoots we desire! Thank you so much McKenzie for braving the cold and some deep snow to capture such wonderful photos!

We used McKenzie for our engagement shoot and also our fall wedding. She is an absolute delight to deal with. We felt comfortable within minutes of meeting with her. She made us laugh and kept the mood very light. Our engagement shoot was a short hike up to a lake, she had no problem meeting us there and lugging her cameras up and making our first photo shoot amazing and fun. Our wedding took place at a lodge in Fernie and there was a lot of walking involved from the lodge to the wedding site. Mckenzie and her partner were everywhere taking thousands of photos and hrs of video to capture our special day.
