It's hard coming to this bank during covid-19. The line ups always take more than half an hour. Lots of people end up walking away because the wait is so long, customers in the line get impatient and start insulting the bank for the incredible wait times. Even when you get in to see a teller there is NO privacy,the person next to you can easily overhear your conversation without any effort. Not to mention they can SEE what you are doing due to glass windows. BMO used to be so much better than this.
Had a bad experience here today. I went to a teller and just wanted to make a simple withdrawal but some other worker came out of no where aggressively asking me personal questions and I never even asked her for help or anything. Did not appreciate it. I had a threatened feeling from her and left feeling sad. I did not do anything wrong and she should have talked nicely but she had a mean wicked tone to her voice. Totally unnecessary. I told the teller she made me feel bad. But at least now I know not to go to that bank because of that woman

Annoyingly notorious for never returning phone calls. I'd give it a zero star if I had that option unfortunately.
They never answer there phone when you are trying to reach them it always goes to voicemail. Not impressed!

I'd give it a 0 if possible. Absolutely horrible service, had fraud charges on my account. After getting the run around for 2 days finally was told that they would get fixed but would take up to 14 business days, and was just told now that I have to find out myself who charged my card and ask them to refund me. Avoid like the plague
Went in to close an overpaid line of credit, offered to even open an account to have the funds transferred. Zero help, took my information it has been over 24 hours and nothing. They just seem to have no idea what to do, or how to answer questions, or provide real solutions. I've worked at a bank, this is not a complicated thing, it's a simple override. Very poor customer service.
Our representative does a great job at reviewing our banking habits and needs, has offered us different options for saving money, and lower our bank fees!
Trying to call someone directly at the bank is pretty much impossible. They redirect the call to a call center outside the province/county and put you on hold for 30min.
This is the worst bank iv ever been to. Always a 20 minute wait un line to talk to a teller.

Negative 5 star, Worst bank ever. DO NOT get your mortgage here!! Ended paying more cause they did two appraisals and screwed it up. Now years later it has now taken TWO YEARS to have my CO-owner assume the mortgage. They transferred the account 4 times and we had to redo the paper work each time. Then when the lawyers said it was all done, they never completed it and 6 months later when getting approved for another home, I find out that it was never completed and they never followed up! DO NOT use this bank. I could go on with more horror stories of the incompetency of this place.OH and they don't answer the phone, good luck getting a someone on the phone or a call back!
Negative star....will be doing a withdrawal from this BMO branch & depositing into a Credit Union , where there is still good customer service available.

I use to love BMO. I would give them negative stars if I could. Privacy is next to none for appointments (glass windows so everyone sees you and your business? Sure it's a bank, but they never had glass doors/windows in their old locations). Why must I now sit down to meet a teller? This is an inconvenience, and wastes time. Lineups are insane. Tellers take as long as they can. Why not have an express line or something? I am a very patient person, but when I walked in to more than 20 people in line yesterday... Something's not right. Also, having closed their two previous central locations and reopening only one branch in such an odd location still mind-boggles me. Finally, I have to meet a teller to deposit american money (still behind on not having ATMs that withdraw or deposit american money). I've made complaints and suggestions to BMO head office and have never received an answer from them - not a care in the world for their clients. Seriously considering changing banks. Do. Not. Recommend.

The counselor (redhead) defended herself by alleging a web of lies, .. pathological!! Probably she comes from the school of Norbourg and a follower of Vincent Lacroix. Not only is she incompetent, she is also dishonest. Impossible to have in this context, a reasonable compensation. Putting your money elsewhere, like I did...because compensation offers "apologies". Note that not only the advisor in question went on vacation during the RRSP period but also the manager leaving only one advisor in branch.: This explains it! This is quite the opposite of current advertising !!! Forget "alerts" or "counselors on the phone" it's false advertising. This is more than negligent behavior. There is a ramp up into the bank that is located on the right side of the front door. The door is automatic opening making it easy to get to the automatic tellers located in the foyer. The entrance into the main part of the bank is also automatic. The queue for the tellers is set up in a less than optimal arrangement that requires you to walk to the back of the bank before walking back to the front (not a long walk but it is unnecessary for handicapped people).
If i could give negative stars I would...if you dont value time, privacy, security, this is the dump for you...why pay for service financially and with your time. Worst bank ever! Withdrawn.

I have called upteen times left message was told would be getting back to me by end of day!!! No response after 2 days. Message also informed me that they were helping other customers, (at 6:20 pm) When the bank closed at 5:00 pm !!! Message also informed me that after hours to press 0 for contact center. Did that still came upon answering machine ??????????? Was also told many times from manager & assistant manager that ""i should change banks"" !!!
Manager was incredibly rude to a teller in front of everyone - implying she was “stupid” for asking a question instead of making an error on the customers account. It was very uncomfortable - made the poor girl feel (visibly) embarrassed in front of a full lobby of customers. She should be fired - I’m not the only one who believes this... read all the wonderful comments BMO execs.

Must say the worst BMO Branch I had to deal with always an issue. You try calling them they won’t answer however the answering machine will say that they will call you by the end of the day. It has been honestly 5 days I haven’t heard back from them. They are suppose to be my home branch but why do I need to call 10 different people before they contact me back. #wasteoftime #dontcareabouttheycustomers #takingmybusinessandmpneyelsewhere.

No privacy at the teller's desk from the customers waiting in line behind you! Everyone can hear and see transactions including when you are handed sums of cash and walking out...extremely uncomfortable as a woman. They need a privacy wall between. It's a bank, not an open concept living room in someone's house. Ridiculous!! The drive through is a very awkward fit for trucks as well...not great planning there either....
